Bobby Lewis, ‘Tossin’ and Turnin” Singer, Dead at 95 1961 hit spent seven weeks atop Hot 100 and sold over 3 million copies Bobby Lewis, the R&B singer behind “Tossin’ and Turnin’” — one of the biggest hits of the early Sixties — died in late April at the age of 95. Billboard confirmed Lewis’ death Saturday, nearly two months after the singer died after a bout with pneumonia. The Indianapolis-born singer is best known for the original version of “Tossin’ and Turnin’,” which he recorded in the fall of 1960; in the summer of 1961, the single began a seven-week run atop the Billboard Hot 100. “Tossin’ and Turnin’” was also named Billboard’s Number One single of 1961, besting songs like Dion’s “Runaround Sue,” Del Shannon’s “Runaway,” the Shirelles’ “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” and Elvis Presley’s “Surrender.” In 2019, Rolling Stone placed “Tossin’ and Turnin’” at Number One on our list celebrating the 20 Biggest Songs of the Summer: The 1960s, acknowledging its lengthy reign atop the Hot 100 and its 3 million copies sold. “Tossin’ and Turnin’” would later be covered by artists like the Supremes, the Kingsmen, the Marvelettes and Kiss’ Peter Criss and feature in early Sixties paeans like National Lampoon’s Animal House and American Graffiti.

Yohan, K-Pop Star & TST Singer, Dead At 28 On Tuesday (June 16), K-pop lost another one of its rising talents with the death of Yohan, a member of the band formerly known as Top Secret. Per the Daily Mail, a cause of death has not yet been revealed. TST’s label, KJ Music Entertainment, released a statement to local outlets confirming Yohan’s death. “We are sad to relay the most unfortunate, sorrowful news. Back on June 16, TST member Yohan left this world. The late Yohan's family is currently in deep mourning,” the label stated. “The family has pleaded that media articles about Yohan's passing, such as those making speculations about the cause of his death, be refrained out of respect. We express our deepest condolences in light of Yohan's final parting.” A wake in Yohan’s honor will be held at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, and from there he will be buried at a Yongin cemetery on June 18. The singer, whose real name was Kim Jeong-hwan, rose to stardom with a band called NOM in 2015 before joining Top Secret two years later after his first group disbanded. Yohan’s death comes just five months after TST dropped their first album, Countdown. What makes Yohan’s passing even more disturbing is that it adds to the unsettling number of tragedies of several other K-pop stars. In less than a year, singer Sulli, 25, took her life in October 2019; pop star Goo Hara, 28, was found dead in her home in November 2019; and actor-singer Cha In Ha, 27, died in December 2019.

Ehhh, bad link on the site. With so many people passing, you tend to lose who already was.

I hope Yohan wasn't suicide. Like Troy said K-Pop is losing a lot lately. Getting to be as bad as wrestling. They are under so much pressure and probably have little freedom.
