after the match Freddie Blassie walked down with Tony Atlas and him and Hogan has a stare down. He was attacked from behind by The Iron Shiek who applied the camel clutch and left Hogan laid out. The three celebrated over a downed Hogan.

*After the match JYD challenged Atlas to a match at Wrestlemania. He accepted.

Mean Gene interviewed the Iron Sheik. The Sheik said "For a whole year, no rematch, I ask for my rematch and did not get it, so I left. I come back and I knock out Hulk Hogan. Now I get my rematch.
Terry Funk def. Uncle Elmer
Jessie Ventura was on Piper's Pit and said he is the next challenger for The Intercontinental Title. Randy Savage came out and told him that he should be the contender. The agree to a match and the winner get Blackjack.
Randy Savage def Jessie Ventura
After the match Savage continues to attack Ventura and Tito Santana came out for the save. While Santana's back is turned Ventura leveled Santana. Ventura then said "I don't need your help, but I need an opponent at Wrestlemania."

(Promoters note - I had already set up what Hogans next feud is, but as always this game took it's own turn and I now have to change my booking. Which won't be easy since there are a shortage of faces in this time period.)
Wrestlemania I Andre the Giant won a 20 man Battle Royal by eliminating Roddy Piper. Tito Santana def. Jessie Ventura Tony Atlas W/ Blassie def JYD Randy Savage def BlackJack Mulligan to win the Intercontinental Title Studd & Bundy def the Hart Foundation for the World Tag Team Titles *After the match the hart foundation tried to re-injure Studd, but Bundy makes the save. The Iron Shiek w/ Blassie def Hulk Hogan *Hogan initially won the match by DQ but asked for the match to be continued. The ref rang the bell while he was in the camel clutch. The ref clearly saw Hogan's hand hit the mat, but Hogan argued that he did not. Hogan takes out the sheik, blassie and the ref after the match and leaves. |
