Haven't had the cards out for a couple years (GCon 18 maybe?). With being at home all day currently, I decided to break out my original fed, which had a gap of 2111-2118. In just a couple weeks I played out 2111 and am getting 2112 rolling. Thanks Tom for making a game that I can put down for long stretches of time and pick right back up!
Now to figure out a good "TV show" name for the Cordanus-run 2112 year!

Who ended your year as champions and what other cards stood out to you from that set?

Max Shield ended 2111 as the Galactic champ (his first run w/ the belt), Rebel Empire on their 5th tag reign, Code Enforcer IP, Archon US, Amazonia Women's and Rising Sun as CW. Thunder and Genocide really starting to come into their own at this time.

Oh man, what a great year that was. I loved Max Shield and Rebel Empire. They were all dominant champions for me too.

Thanks Matt for sharing. I agree Swarm. I think the game hit its stride in 2110 and it carried on until the end of that Sudden Death. The End swerve was perfect.

2109-2118 might actually be my favorite period of the GWF. Tom was taking the game into interesting directions for quite a while there. Some all time great characters were at their peak at this time too.

I think what made that time so great was seeing everyone develop. Between 2087-2108 everyone that was on top pretty much came in on top. Once 09 hit the midcarders grew into main eventers. The character development from where guys like Enigma and Thunder began to where they ended up had meaning. Add in a great storyline and you have 1 of the best if not the best era in GWF.

Very cool! One of the only good things about having to stay at home so much is getting more time to play the game. I am currently playing and posting about 1 show/day in my LOW fed and I am soon going to switch to my new Centra fed and then play 2090 in color before going back to my Indy feds. It will be awhile until I get to 2111 though as I am playing each year as they arrive in color.
