Hello,
I am trying to get back into playing. I recently purchased the Best of Mexico and Best of Canada sets to assist me. I decided to run a tag team tournament using some of these cards. I also through in a couple other tag teams (for the USA side) at random from some other sets that I have.
Who do you think will win this tournament. I plan on running the first round of the tournament tonight (4/19/20) and finishing up tomorrow. Get your votes in!
To assist you with you voting, here are my "House Rules" for this tournament:
1. Using the Double Team Chart 2. Using the pin number in the parentheses 3. When a double sixes are rolled on the pin attempt, the pinned wrestler kicks out and quickly hits his finisher 4. Disqualifications and Count Outs are rolled twice 5. (Tag) on level 1 defense are successful on rolls 2-6, level 2 on 2-5, and level 3 on 2-4 6. (Choice) options are not used. Instead, these are considered a tag to their partner 7. Two fatigue tokens are removed from each wrestler every time they advance.
I use these rules to try to simulate the "Indy" action seen in the late 2000's Ring of Honor.
Here are the teams:
Representing Mexico:
Los Bucaneros (Rey Bucanero and Pirata Morgana from the Best of Mexico set) Flamita & Rey Horus (from the Best of Mexico set)
Representing Canada:
The Pillars (Tyson Dux and Brent Banks from the Best of Canada set) Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno and Dos from the Best of Canada set) The Hart Foundation (Davey Boy Smith, Jr. and Teddy Hart from the Best of Canada set)
Representing United States:
The Bravado Brothers (Harlem and Lancelot Bravado from Evolve) Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent? Barreta from Evolve) Jollyville Jeepers (Clean and Jerk from Olde Wrestling Extravaganza!)
Who do you think wins this North American Tag Team Tournament?

The North American Tag Team Tournament takes place from the North Bay Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Approximately 3,000 Canadian independent wrestling fans are in attendance.
Match 1: Los Bucaneros vs The Bravado Brothers
This was the match of the first round, lasting over 20 minutes. Bodies were flying everywhere. Los Bucaneros were vicious while the Bravado Brothers worked liked a well oiled machine. The Bravado Brothers were able to isolate Pirata Morgan and Harlem Bravado was finally able to put him away following a Tiger Driver. The Canadian crowd gave both teams a standing ovation. 4.5 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Harlem Bravado – 5 (will move into the next round with 3) Lacelot Bravado – 4 (will move into the next round with 2) Pirate Morgan – 8 Rey Bucanero – 3
Match 2: Flamita & Rey Horus vs The Hart Foundation
Teddy Hart played to his home country crowd. Teddy was up to his usual antics, including showing off his pet cat, Mr. Money, who he brought with him to ringside. Davey Boy Smith, Jr. did not seem to enjoy the outrageous behavior and wanted to get the match started. However, Teddy wasn't quite done showing off for the crowd. After over 10 minutes of his behavior, the crowd seem to turn on Teddy, chanting “You suck”. Flamita, to the crowds delight, super kicked Teddy to start the match. Flamita hit some rapid and devastating moves on Teddy. Rey Horus was tagged in and pinned Teddy following a 450 splash. Davey was never tagged in. 1 star out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Flamita – 0 Rey Horus – 0 Teddy Hart – 3 Davey Boy Smith, Jr. - 0
Match 3: The Pillars vs Jollyville Jeepers
After the disaster of the previous match, the crowd was ready to get behind some of their countrymen, and the Pillars delivered. The hard-hitting team of Tyson Dux and Brent Banks put on a tag team clinic. The Jollyville Jeepers couldn't get out of the starting gate as the Pillars dominate from beginning to end. After about 5 minutes of total domination, Tyson Dux mercifully pinned Clean following the NORTHERN LARIOT. Following this commanding performance, The Pillars now look like the favorites to win this tournament. 2 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Tyson Dux – 0 Brent Banks – 0 Clean – 5 Jerk – 0
Match 4: Super Smash Bros. Vs Best Friends
The final match of the round pitted two veteran, fan-favorite teams against each other. This fun back and forth match started off with Best Friends isolating Player Uno. It looked to be over fairly quickly when Trent Barreta hit Uno with the Dude Buster, but Uno was able to kick out and then make the hot tag to Player Dos. The Super Smash Bros then had their turn. Trent was isolated from his partner and fell victim to the FATLITY. Chuck Taylor was unable to break up the pin attempt and Trent wasn't able to summon up enough fortitude to kick out as another Canadian team advances to the semi-finals. 3 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Player Uno – 4 (will move into next round with 2) Player Dos – 0 Chuck Taylor – 0 Trent Barreta – 5
The following teams have advanced to the semi-finals: The Bravado Brothers Flamita & Rey Horus The Pillars Super Smash Bros.
I will be playing and writing up the semi-finals and finals tomorrow. It was a lot of fun getting back into the game, especially the fantastic Los Bucaneros and Bravado Brothers being my first match played in a few years.
See you tomorrow.

Match 5: Flamita & Rey Horus vs Super Smash Bros.
The semi-finals start with the high flying team from Mexico being grounded. The Super Smash Bros isolated Flamita, leading to many close pinfalls. However, Player Dos ended up missing a turnbuckle charge, which lead to the hot tag to Rey Horus. After taking the advantage, Flamita and Rey tagged in and out quickly, keeping the fresh man in the ring while ensuring Dos could not make the tag. Finally, Rey pinned Player Dos following the PIZZA DDT to advance to the finals. 3.5 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Flamita – 3 (will move into the next round with 1) Rey Horus – 0 Player Uno – 2 Player Dos – 8
Match 6: The Pillars vs The Bravado Brothers
Even though they were in the first match of the night, the Bravado Brothers were the most winded team. The Pillars, after easily putting the Jollyville Jeepers away in the first round, looked fresh as daisies. But, the Bravado Brothers would not go down without a fight. The Pillars dominated the beginning portion of the match until, out of nowhere, Harlem Bravado (holding the tights, of course) rolled up Brent Banks. The ref was almost about to count to 3 when Tyson Dux broke up the pin. The Pillars decided to no longer mess around and Brent Banks pinned Lancelot following a shovel driver. 3 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Tyson Dux – 0 Brent Banks – 2 (will move into next round with 0) Harlem Bravado – 3 Lancelot – 8
Main Event: Flamita & Rey Horus vs The Pillars
After a short interlude, Flamita & Rey Horus come out for the finals of the North American Tag Team Tournament to a round of cheers. The team has won over the Canadian fans with their high flying, fast pace matches. While the Mexicans received a large ovation, it was nothing compared to what The Pillars received when they came out. The people in attendance were solidly behind their countrymen. The Pillars did not disappoint their home crowd. While Flamita & Rey Horus started strong, one mistake by Flamita changed the tide of the match forever. Following a flurry of quick tags and hard-hitting maneuvers, Tyson Dux put Flamita away following THE NORTHERN LARIAT to win the tournament. After the match, the two teams shook hands and stood (along with the fans in attendance) as the Canadian National Anthem played and The Pillars were awarded with the North American Tag Tournament Cup. 2.5 stars out of 5.
Fatigue Tokens: Tyson Dux – 0 Brent Banks – 0 Flamita – 5 Rey Horus – 0
