New Galaxian Pro Wrestling Summer Fight Festival Report 6.28.88 - It was a history making night at Dominion as records were broken and extended. Invincible Krakan broke the record for longest reign as GWF Interplanetary Champion now at 36 cards and 5 successful title defenses. The Greek Gods have regained the GWF Galaxian Tag Team Championships for a record setting fourth time and Thantos continues his amazing 7 month run as he retained the GWF Championship. We now look forward to the heat of July and Summer Fight Festival 88 being held July 4th - July 10th 2088. Lets start with the now four time GWF Galaxian Tag Team Champions, The Greek Gods. Actagon and Proteus now hold every record in the books in the tag team division. After the Animal Pack was able to dethrone the Greek Gods back at Burning Spirit and ending their 49 card run as champions. Many had thought that it would not be long before the Greek Gods regained the belts again and at Dominion they came through and did just that. The Greek Gods and The Animal Pack have been building a feud of the year that might rival what the Greek Gods and Gladiators of Aethra had last year. The Greek Gods and The Animal Pack have faced off in the last 6 GWF Galaxian Tag Team Championship Matches. No title has ever had that streak like that in NGPW history. Are we on the cusp of seeing Lucky #7 in terms of title matches between these two teams? Here is the first round of the #1 Contendership for the GWF Galaxian Tag Team Championship Tournament. #1 Contenders Tournament - GWF Galaxian Tag Team Championships - First Round Matches Society Of Death vs Beauty And The Beast Gladiators Of Aethra vs Neptunian Space Croppers Bomb Squad vs Norse Gods Titan Power vs Henchmen Animal Pack - Bye into the Finals The Invincible Krakan is living up to his name since winning the GWF Interplanetary Championship back at New Galaxian Cup 88. Since then he has gone on to now hold the title for the longest reign and most successful defenses. A pattern has shown up in those 5 defenses he has had as he had 2 with Killer Queen, 1 with Pulsar and the last two have been against Splatter. Will we see a new challenger step up and take on the record setting champion or will one of these three men make another run at the title? Here are your first round matches in that tournament. #1 Contenders Tournament - GWF Interplanetary Championships - First Round Matches Omega vs Death Knight Reptillo vs Pit Viper Pulsar vs Killer Queen Splatter - Bye into the Semi-Finals 7 months. No man has held a championship that long in NGPW. Thantos is proving to be untouchable when the title is on the line. Wither it be inside of a steel cage or regular title match. No one has been able to pin Thantos to the mat. Bishop Hell has had the last 3 chances at Thantos to take the championship and end the historic run but Thantos has been able to come out every time they have faced off so far. Remember Thantos won this title from Wolf back at last December's King of Pro Wrestling almost 8 months ago now. Bishop Hell as already done what no one else has done in fighting for the championship in three straight matches. Can he make it four straight and walk away with the championship this time? Here is how the tournament lines up. #1 Contenders Tournament - GWF Galaxian Championships - First Round Matches Exo-King vs Mesmer Star Warrior vs Wolf Massif vs Spike Bishop Hell - Bye into the Semi-Finals Its the Summer Fight Festival July 4th thru 10th 2088. Don't forget to check out the new updates to the championship history page for NGPW to see just how amazing the championship runs have become. Will any of these continue or will one of them fall. Only one way to find out and that is staying right now for all the results as we get right for a week long Summer Fight Festival 88.

Massif beats Spike. Exo-King beats Massif. Thus Exo-King is better than Spike. Just don't let Spike know that.
