Frank Gotch both in terms of most reigns and longest reigns. Since color Randy Savage probably due to lack of Gotch.

In my old fed, it was Andre. Finally had AJ Styles beat him, then decided Andre would no longer be a full-time guy and he would just come in for the spectacle. I don't want the title swapping hands every month, but it was getting a little boring when I knew what the outcome would be lol Andre is my current WWF champion (in the WWF. Brock is the unrecognized WWF champ after leaving for the NWA w the belt) after winning an 8 man one night tournament featuring others like HBK, Hogan, Austin, and the Rock. I hope he has a nice long reign as champ.

Nick Bockwinkel in one of B/W feds had 20+ successful title defenses, final unseated by his rival Curt Hennig.
Harley Race was also a multiple champion during the B/W days and with a couple of long reigns pulled in. He was beaten by Bockwinkel funny enough.
Finally, Buddy Rogers and Randy Savage each had lengthy reigns. Savage in the color version and Rogers in the original fed.

In my LOW fed, the VWF which is a spinoff of my earlier MLW fed, I have a long fed history with 3 different brands each with their own main championship and wrestlers over the years have switched brands through drafts and trades. Throughout that history I call the main 4 brand titles (the VWF Championship, World Championship, EAWA Championship, and the now defunct MLW Championship) Major championships and this is the listing of who has had the most Majors in terms of championships:
7 Buddy Rogers
4 Harley Race Ted DiBiase
3 Nick Bockwinkel Frank Gotch
2 Lou Thesz Bruiser Brody Bobo Brazil George Hackenschmidt Giant Baba
1 Randy Savage Jimmy Snuka Mil Mascaras Big Van Vader Rob Van Dam Iron Sheik Rick Rude Antonino Rocca Curt Hennig Tully Blanchard The Crusher Wolf Bob Orton Sr. Sandman

I see you snuck Wolf in ... I'm contemplating something similiar as I'd like someone to appear in all periods of time like that. I was thinking Lance At-Las or a non vampire Count Necros.

Well Wolf was originally given as part of the Legends to promote COTG. I also briefly used Wolf occasionally in those early years before we had enough that I no longer felt a need for him.

I hope he has a nice long reign as champ. His card was a beast for me. I will still use him, but it just won't be for a title. If there's a guy that is just cleaning out the roster, then maybe bring Andre in. Maybe Andre busts him up a bit and the champ has to go away with an injury for a time. Now we've got an opening for a new title holder or interim champ while the champ recovers and comes back to face the interim champ to unify the belts.

In terms of individual champions, it's The Road Warriors. When it comes to ANY tag title, they just don't lose. Any combo of any high tier singles wrestlers can't beat them, no mainstay teams can beat them, I've even had Brute & Massacre fight them. Nothing. They can't lose when it comes to gold.
Singles champions, basically none of the heavyweight champions I've ever had can keep the title for more than 3 months.
