I will try to be around Friday night but I think I will be working and may not be back before everything dies down or is over.

Excited to be 'attending' my first convention! The time differecne will probably be tricky, but I'll try and access as much as I can.
I use Zoom daily to teach and it's fairly easy to use so I am good to go!

Sometimes I work on Saturdays, so seeing as how the Con opens on the 11th at 11 am for an opening cermeony so to speak, will there be a way to find out the info discussed in case I or anyone else for that matter can read over before we enter any events? Thanks, in advance. Yes, we will have some walk through of online and some brief info around how the zoom meetings will work that I'll send out to attendees beforehand. Great! Thanks!

So I haven't used zoom on my own - at work have had the boss in the the Zoom for Government, so I have seen it and it seems okay. One quick question, do we need to have our own ZOOM account? and if so, I am guessing that it should be created before the G-Con proceedings? No you do not need to create an account. Only the host needs to have an account. There will be a password though that you will need, which I will email out a week ahead of time.

Desktop friendly? No camera needed. No log in/sign up required? The first time you use it there is a small desktop app that gets downloaded. As long as you don't have really beefed up popup blockers it should work fine. Even passed by the security on my work computer that blocks out a bunch of stuff including cotgonline. Instead of requiring signup I will have a password and will probably also do a waiting room to make sure I am letting in just registered attendees.

I will purchase ticket & stuff this Friday & check for Zoom then.

I just bought my ticket. I got a Zoom account since my school requires it. I also found a nice cam to hook up, thought I was sent one a few years ago.

Can I do all the con stuff on my phone. My PC sucks. I don’t care about playing in the tournaments as much as the other stuff. I don’t even know how to use the COTGOnline. I tried for a few minutes awhile ago but never went back. I bought the $10 pass not caring about the extra $3 just in case I figured out COTGOnline before that. So if I can’t play in the tourneys it’s ok, just want to see the other stuff.
