I really think Ace Austin has tons of potential, but in light of current events, (plus I never liked it) can we dump the sexual skumbag/womanizer gimmick. I thought the magic stuff was good on its own, but if you have to put him way over the top as a heel, just make him a conceded, "I'm better than you people" type...
I suspect we will definitely see former WWE types at Slamiversary!

I've read not only did Tessa not film any promos per request but her contract expired before Slamm. I guess she was to lose at the first "PPV" match she had to miss due to COVID. The new plan being pay her till Slamm and lose title there. However she wanted to be paid daily. This hurts Impact in the now but better in long run. They need to get rid of toxic people. They will be better for it. It seems for title match it is the last three still standing plus one as now mystery person.
Ace Austin ha moved on from the sleazy womanizer luckily. He has great future but still not ready for title. I feel it will either be a free agent coming in of Madman Fulton to fill the spot and win the title. Fulton can be a nice transition champion till they figure how to move forward. It's a shame that Sami seems to have some issues in his past as he'd be perfect to plug in and win.

This seems like a really poor booking/contract signing for Impact?! It's no wonder this fell apart, especially with the covid situation. Sounds like Tessa will be better off.

Well it is an old story with them over last few years. Someone signs as it is the best deal at the time. Impact pushes them and they decide to go find a bigger pay day elsewhere. I can not judge completely as I do not have all the info but it seems she did them a bit bad. While she is talented I feel losing Michael Elgin is a bigger loss. He was a team player who showed he was worth the money he was getting.

If Impact picks up some WWE cast-off's they could end up ahead (EC3!). I found Elgin seemed to suck the energy out of matches, but was a good guy for them to have (good name, team player), Dave Crist was built to something decent, Joey Ryan would have been awesome if he dumped the gimmick (he honesty is a good wrestler, but saddled with a creepy gimmick), and Tessa will be a loss, but she seems to have a lot of baggage, and never was going to be there for the long haul. So loosing this talent didn't help them, but I think it could have been much much worse.

His appearances had been rare even more so in the ring. Maybe a short feud with his brother over the split then he'd take time off. As far as Joey if you mean the dick flip thing he came up with it but had moved on. If ya mean Cancel Culture I didn't see it as creepy. Yea they have got use to losing talent and reloading.

I'm a few months behind with Impact, so I suppose I need to be more careful, some things have changed. I was talking about Joey's living personification of sexual harassment gimmick. I get why indie guys make really colorful characters to stand out, and be remembered, it's a big pond, but Joey was a light good wrestler and better than that gimmick. You know I do really think Impact is good at picking up talent from the indie pool, so as long as they can tread water financially in these tough times, I'm sure they will reload just fine.

Oops sorry if I spoiled anything for you. Of course they might be editing out some stuff. Yea I think with the dick flip he was only gonna do it a bit but it's like other gimmicks over the years. It got big and people loved it so he kept doing it. He was a better wrestler for sure.
