Match #5: VLW Tag Team Champions American Wolves defeated Los Piratas (accompanied by Los Piratas) in an A Bracket First Round match
- Los Piratas gave them a fight but the American Wolves advanced when Dabey Richards pinned Rey Bucanero via a superplex.
Match #6: EYFBO defeated Willie Mack and Rich Swann in an A Bracket First Round match
- EYFBO advanced when NMike Draztik took out Swann via MDK.
- As a result, EYFBO takes on the American Wolves in the Second Round.
Match #7: Bravado Brothers defeated Hooligans in an A Bracket First Round match
- The Bravado Brothers scored the biggest First Round upset so far when they stunned the 2-time former ROV Tag Team Champions the Hooligans when Lancelot Bravado put away Paul London following GENTLEMEN'S APPROACH.
Match #8: BLK OUT defeated VWTV Tag Team Champions Reno Scum in an A Bracket First Round match
- Yet another First Round upset as BLK OUT takes down the current VWTV Tag Team Champions who have held the VWTV Tag Team Championship since almost the beginning of VWTV (from VWTV 2 through VWTV 40 and counting) when BLK Jeez got past Adam Thornstowe via BLK JEEZ WALKS.

A few upsets in the opening round of a tournament is never a bad thing... Fun way to shake things up... However, I'm a little disappointed that Kendrick & London are done so soon.

Kendrick and London might be out of the tournament (due to a roll of snake eyes) but that does not mean they won't be in at least 1 non-tournament match on at least 1 of the other days of the VIU Cup.  |

Match #1: The VWO: Tyler Black and ROC Champion Kevin Steen defeated the Philly Marino Experience in a B Bracket First Round match
The VWO dominated this match and won easily when Steen pinned Philly Collins via an F-CINQ.
Match #2: AIVW Tag Team Champions "Filthy" Tom Lawlor and Erick Stevens defeated Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer in a B Bracket First Round match
- Lawlor and Stevens advanced when Lawlor put away Whitmer via MASTER BLASTER.
- As a result, it will be Black/Steen vs Lawlor/Stevens in the Second Round.
Match #3: Ironbeast defeated Warhausen in a B Bracket First Round match
- A good match, Ironbeast won when KTB pinned WARHORSE via GO TO BEAST.
Match #4: ROV TV Champion Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston defeated Los Ice Creams in a B Bracket First Round match
- Despite a quick surprising pinfall upon Kingston, Los Ice Creams proved to be little match for Moxley and Kingston who won when Moxley took out Ice Cream Jr. via MOXICITY.
- As a result, Moxley and Kingston will take on Ironbeast in the Second Round as Riccaboni and Keneley point out if Black and Steen can defeat Lawlor and Stevens and if Moxley and Kingston can defeat Ironbeast in the Second Round then it will be the VWO taking on their ROV enemies Moxley and Kingston in the Sweet Sixteen!

Black and Steen could be tough to beat. I will third this! A tough pairing, will be interesting to see how far they can go. A fantastic start to the tournament so far, with some interesting results |

Match #5: ROM Tag Team Champions RUSH and Kenny King defeated 1 Called Manders and AJ Gray in a B Bracket First Round match
- RUSH pinned Manders via the BULL HORNS.
Match #6: Motor City Machine Guns defeated Bear Country in a B Bracket First Round match
- Despite losing a seeding battle that dropped them to one of the #5 seeds, the MCMGs looked great in this First Round match which they dominated and won when Alex Shelley put away bear Bronson following MADE IN DETROIT performed in tandem with Chris Sabin.
- As a result, the MCMGs will take on RUSH and Kenny King in the Second Round.
Match #7: ROV Tag Team Champions Young Bucks (accompanied by Hangman Adam Page) defeated Hawx Aerie in a B Bracket First Round match
- The Young Bucks won this match easily when Matt Jackson pinned Luke Hawx following the MELTZER DRIVER performed in tandem with Nick Jackson.
Match #8: The North defeated The Carnies in a B Bracket First Round match
- The North won when Josh Alexander pinned Kerry Awful via TWISTING TOMBSTONE.
- As a result, it will be Young Bucks vs The North in the Second Round.

- For some unknown reason, the Workhorseremn did not appear and Injustice thus advanced via default.
Match #2: ROC Tag Team Champions Super Smash Brothers defeated Young Studs in a Bracket C First Round match
- Player Uno pinned Bobby Beverly after FATALITY.
Match #3: Ringkampf defeated The Bouncers in a Bracket C First Round match
- Although they just recently lost the EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Championship to the Kings of Wrestling, Ringkampf dominated this match and won when Walter pinned Brian Milonas via POWERBOMB.
Match #4: Rob Van Dam and 2 Cold Scorpio defeated Besties in the World in a C Bracket First Round match
- RVD and 2 Cold Scorpio won this First Round match when RVD pinned Mat Fitchett via a FIVE-STAR FROG SPLash.
