Match #5: The OGK (accompanied by Maria) defeated Bussy in a C Bracket First Round match
- One week after losing the VWA Tag Team Championship to the Briscoes, the OGK rebounded here as they dominated this match and advanced when Michael Bennett pinned Allie Kat via a PILEDRIVER.
Match #6: Chosen Bros defeated RockNES Monsters in a C Bracket First Round match
- A good match, the Chosen Bros advanced to take on The OGK in the next round when Matt Riddle tapped out Johnny Yuma via BROMISSION.
Match #7: Moustache Mountain defeated Da Hit Squad in a C Bracket First Round match
- A good match, Da Hit Squad started off strong and almost won but Moustache Mountain got this victory when Trent Seven pinned Dan Maff via his SEVEN STARS LARIAT.
Match #8: Homicide and Hernandez (accompanied by Shelly Martinez) defeated The Bodega (accompanied by Papo Esco) in a C Bracket First Round match
- One week after losing the VLW Tag Team Championship to the American Wolves, Homicide and Hernandez fought off a tough challenge here by Danny Limelight and Slice Boogie and they won when Hernandez pinned Boogie via the BORDER TOSS.

Match #1: ROE Tag Team Champions Aussie Open defeated Biff Busick and Martin Stone in a D Bracket First Round match
- Last year's VIU Cup winners, Aussie Open had some trouble with Busick and Stone but got the victory when Mark Davis pinned Busick via an Alpamare Waterslide.
Match #2: The Tribe (managed by Olivia) defeated CCK in a D Bracket First Round match
- The Tribe got an impressive victory here when Navajo Warrior pinned Chris Brookes via Nav-a-lanche.
- As a result, the Tribe will next take on Aussie Open in the Second Round.
Match #3: Best Friends defeated Alex Zayne and Blake Christian in a D Bracket First Round match
- Chuck Taylor pinned Christian via his AWFUL WAFFLE.
Match #4: The Hart Foundation defeated Anthony Nese and Dezmond Xavier (both accompanied by SoCal Val) in a D Bracket First Round match
- This was a good match won by the Hart Foundation when Davey Boy Smith Jr. pinned Xavier after a deflected deathjump attempt.

Sweet opening round victory for the OGK, but the opposition is getting exponentially tougher... Hoping that Taven & Bennett can keep the Melvins in line... Fingers crossed!

Match #5: Rip City Shooters defeated CVW Tag Team Champions Nick Gage and Justice Pain in a D Bracket First Round match
- Rip City Shooters scored this upset when Joshua Bishop pinned Justice Pain via a Black Hole Slam.
Match #6: Open the Vegas Gate Champion Zack Sabre Jr. and Tommy End defeated Violence is Forever in a D Bracket First Round match
- End put away Dominic Garrini via Nephilim
Match #7: Birds of Prey defeated Second Gear Crew's Mance Warner and Matthew Justice by DQ in a D Bracket First Round match
- This match ended in a DQ when the Young Studs, enemies of the Second Gear Crew, arrived and attacked Will Ospreay and Robbie Eagles to get Warner and Justice eliminated by DQ.
Match #8: EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Champions Kings of Wrestling defeated 3.0 in a D Bracket First Round match
- In the final First Round match of the VIU Cup, the Kings of Wrestling advanced when Chris Hero took out "Big Magic" Shane Matthews via a Stretch Plum.

Nice upset for the Rip City Shooters... Can they deliver another in the next round? Not counting on it... At this point, I want to pick ZSJr & The End vs. Aussie Open in the Bracket D final... Fun stuff, as always!
