Hey team,
I thought I had heard of this, but I've been scouring my ringside companions and the search function on the boards, but I can't seem to find anything.
Is there a valet interference chart? How do you use valets? Of course, I'm mostly past the time of valets (like Sweet Thing) but with Maxine Babe and the like, it would be nice to have something other than the manager interference chart that seems a little more "hands on" than valets would be.
Thanks!

Valets are supposed to stand there and look pretty and "know their role", I guess. I haven't seen an OFFICIAL chart for Valet Interference, or a fan-made one for that matter. It would be a nice to have one in case you wanted the option to use that. Kind of like having Baby Doll be just a valet for Tully, then when she turns FACE, have her interfere in matches against Tully. Interesting idea, for sure! Todd C WTIC

Was playing a match and thought for sure Phantasy would interfere for the Troubleshooters, but the manager interference doesn't seem to make sense. Anyone have a chart or know if there's one around somewhere to buy?

There's not one officially. I'm sure a promoter could create one easily enough.

I think when Tom first made Sweet Thing as a valet, the handbook said that valets would only use their Distractor Ratings but would not roll on the interference chart. Does anyone else remember this?
As far as your example with Phantasy, I would have her roll on the Manager Interference Chart. Whatever the result is, you could modify it to fit her style and something she might do to help the Troubleshooters.

For most valets---thinking of Elizabeth, Marlena, Sunny--I use the Distractor rating only. For a valet like Maria Kanellis that is more involved, I would use both the Distractor rating and Manager Interference chart.

Yeah, I use to split the Manager/Outside Interference, but a few years ago switched to only using the current charts(except the double team chart) which means Outside Interference only. If the chart reads the ally attacks the opponent, I just interpret it as distracted the wrestler or ref and allowed in the ring ally to blindside the opponent.

I think it's a case by case basis. IRL in the 80s and 90s there were definitely "valets" who got heavily involved. Precious with her spray can, Missy Hyatt and the loaded purse, the ladies in ECW, etc, etc. Then there were the types like Elizabeth who did basically nothing except play damsel in distress. I could see specialized charts on the backs of individual cards, but not one uniform valet interference chart that would work for every personality.

While I'm not a fan of every valet/manager having to have their own interference chart, I could definitely see this for some of the names you listed, MT. If you think back to the very first interference chart in the game, that was very generic and was really described for wrestlers more than managers/valets. However, I would just improvise things to fit the managers or valets that were interfering. Roll #9 was the ally coming off the top rope with an elbow drop and it was an automatic DQ. That, of course, became famous among promoters in the '90s for the Cohen brothers having Solaris roll that all the time. That was the inspiration for his reimagined card to have that spot on the chart. But for others, I would just say the manager got caught interfering with an object or doing something that the referee couldn't avoid seeing.

For sure there's a lot of improvising on the charts based on the personality of the manager or valet in question. Sometimes I feel like the descriptions are a little rigid on those and the choice situations. And like you write, there's no need for a chart on the back of every manager or valet card, but for some it definitely applies when they had their own distinct spots you saw over and over again.
