I believe at the first GCon we had three different variations among promoters - Crocken, Cracken, and Cray-ken
And yes, Chad, Pete Beck & I were laughing hysterically at that scene in the Pirates film. A memorable GCon moment for me.

Let the proper pronunciation of Kraken discussions begin! When Galacticon finished up one year, TDalton, DK II, and I went to a movie in Jamestown. We saw one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies. In that movie, the two henchmen are arguing about the pronunciation of Kraken. The three of us found that scene much funnier than the rest of the audience! I want to say there were even some heads that turned in the theater wondering why we were getting such a big kick out of that scene. ----- I think to this day that the writer of the movie is a COTG Fan and put that scene in just for us!!! |

So Vegas, how are you liking the Seattle team you are starting with? I noticed my Wings left a 23 year old D player that we took in the first round just five years ago unprotected and you guys grabbed him. I can only guess Steve was not impressed with him. |

I will be at the first ever Kraken game when they play a preseason game vs. Edmonton Oilers in my home town of Everett, WA. Still trying to join a season ticket group, but thats a hard ticket in town.
