Listening to the new Jim Cornette experience and they kick off the show with an interesting topic, why is there no more weekend wrestling? I grew up on Superstars and my interest has wavered probably since 2013. Is there weekend programming lol, if there is I don’t know but got me to thinking ...
What time slot are your shows at promoter? How I grew up might effect my answer but I always thought Saturday 6:05 was perfect. So my weekly tv show SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN is always 6:05 to 8:05 depending on baseball lol. Supercards are always Saturday night 8 to 11. But just curious as to when most promoters see their shows playing out, I assume a lot of Monday shows because the Monday night wars.
Cornette in his podcast talk about numbers from different eras and is starting to get into how things are today and how that effects ratings. Maybe the old way of doing things is broken ... I know I watch AEW on Friday afternoons when I roll dice. My numbers prolly don’t get brought into those ratings.

Saturday morning wrestling up here was Sat 10am WWF Superstars on Ch 20 WTXX, 11am GLOW on Ch 20 WTXX, Noon WWF Wrestling Challenge on Ch 30 WVIT, 1pm WFF Superstars on Ch 22 WWLP (program was slotted there since I started watching), 6:05 TBS, midnight Saturday WFF Superstars from New York's WPIX. For the 6:05 wrestling, I'd go over to my BBF from high school's house and we'd watch, then down to his basement to play a card or two of "Superstar Pro Wrestling Game"! He'd be better at winning singles Belts and I'd be better in tags. We'd choose wrestlers randomly and play. I'd make the playing cards and do up necessary changes for each wrestler (scale up or down, change the gimmick name when appropriate, etc). Funny thing is he'd NEVER have a "SuperCard" PPV, I still don't know why... Fun times! I had my BFF record GLOW on WPIX on Saturdays at noon since I didn't have cable yet. His wife wasn't too pleased, LOL! So yeah, Saturday morning cartoons and wrestling. Wish I could go back to those days, haha! Todd C WTIC

My LOW fed's schedule with 3 brands are for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for weekly shows. That leaves the weekends open for monthly PPVs.

Up to now my shows were mondays and then supercards on Sundays. But soon the weekly shows will switch to Saturday and Sunday.

I don't know what it is, I always have run shows on Saturdays. My Grandparents LOVED TBS and WCW Saturday Night, my grandparents would always schedule events for 5 minutes after the hour especially since my dad was always a couple minutes late. I had a Monday show at one point in my first fed but SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN has been a staple since 1990 and I can't picture it being at any other time lol.
Saturday just seems like a good day for wrestling, as a kid I would always get up Saturday mornings here in Western NY to watch SUPERSTARS on FOX. Now here I am 30 years later and rolling dice and watching MLW this Saturday MORNING

My Legends of Wrestling Federation has always been a Saturday night show, with the supercard events taking the place of that weeks normal TV show.

My most recent fed runs shows on Friday nights and Monday nights... and that will free up a day on the weekend for the PPVs when I get to them
