I'm looking for a card maker program so that I can start making my own cards for my promotion. Any help will be most appreciated! Yep Indesign and Photoshop I also recommend. I know some people manage to make there card stats in word but will not print like In design. The Adobe programs are used by professionals such as myself but are very expensive programs to get and not to easy to use when you have never used them before. I know there are a bunch of other art programs out there that might do a good job for printing basic cards, so don't just limit your search to here. Creating the artwork and Stats are the fun part the pain is printing making sure your cards are not cut off, good print quality paper and ink is where the headaches and cost arise. If you are just going to use PDFs then you will not have to worry about that part then. I have been at this for 20 years now and have run into just about every type of issue you can think of for producing cards.

Stumbled on this thread. I have a huge respect for the card makers out there. I tried a few months ago to make my own cards. Tried with word and couldn’t align stuff properly. Excel was better but still problematic. I ended sending a load of images to snapfish and choosing matte. Got flimsy prints back. Then tried to print the stats on label a4 cut into a5 segments. The intention to stick it onto the printer cards/photos. The end result was lousy to say the least! Best left to the pros. I’m not bad with tech but this is too over my head.
This is where I have to plug Kevin’s Krazy Kards. I had the pleasure of being directed to him and just received my first order. The quality and design of his cards are absolutely outstanding. I am totally blown away. Cannot recommend enough. And I might add an extremely talented artist. The character drawings are very impressive

What font/lettering do you use when making the cards?

I use Coral Draw & Photo Paint for mine, and publish them for Adobe Reader.

I am also trying to figure out how to print PDF versions of Frank Dalton and Bruiser Costa. Just wondering if I went to like an Office Max and a staples asked them to print front and back on card stock those two what alignment and scale would be necessary to make it work?
