1. The Mountie vs. Ted Dibiase
Ted Dibiase was receiving a decent number of cheers despite saying some pretty candid comments towards the fan before the match started. The Mountie made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos and trash being thrown at him. He grabbed the house mic and threatened to leave the ring if the fans didn't shut up and show him the proper respect to be given to his calibar of athelete. Ted Dibiase grabbed the mic and said respect is earned and respect this and unloaded with a furry of punches. The Mountied didn't even have time to get his ring coat off. The referee was trying to help The Mountie with his coat, when Dibiase seized the chance to load up the black glove. Dibiase reached over the top of the referee and connected with a right hand and knocked The Mountie out cold. Dibiase hooked the leg and got the 3. The match was quick from the opening bell. Dibiase showed his mean streak and showed why he is a former 3 time N.W.A. World's champion.
2. The New Aged Outlaws vs. The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering
The NAO started out the match with quick tags in and out of the ring trying to frustrate the mighty Hawk with their quick tags. The Road Warriors are fresh from a tour of Japan. Hawk didn't let the quick tags get to him too much as he soon press slammed Kip over top of his head and tagged in big Animal. Animal kept Kip in the ring. Animal cut off the ring not allowing Kip a tag to his waiting partner on the outside. Animal landed a stiff right hand to the skull of B.G. James to knock him off of the ring apron. Animal soon tagged in Hawk who went to the top rope and they connected with The Doomsday Device. Hawk scored the pinfall for his team. With this win it should hopefully help to get The Road Warriors further up the tag team ladder.
3. Brad Armstrong vs. Jushin Liger (#1 contender match for the Junior Title)
Brad Armstrong controlled this match from the beginning. He knew that this was his chance to earn a title shot for the championship he once held proudly. Liger had something to prove since his debut match pretty much didn't live up to the hype. Armstrong had different plans for Liger however. Armstrong connected with a Russian Legsweep and floated over into the pin to get his hand raised in victory. Liger sat there totally stunned and shook his head in disbelief as he can't believe that he lost to Brad Armstrong and a chance for the championship.
4. Samoan Swat Team w/Oliver Humperdink vs. Masked Superstar and The Destroyer
With every good win that Superstar and Destroyer pick up they seem to get a huge loss that causes them to stuble back down in the rankings. The S.S.T. are looking to pick up a win here because they want to set themselves up for a title shot real soon. Alofa and Superstar start the match out for their respective teams. Alofa was letting loose with chops all over the place. Alofa kept Superstar in the S.S.T. corner and tagged Samu. Samu entered the ring and delivered a vicious head butt. Superstar staggered out of the ring. Samu distracted the referee while Alofa worked over Superstar outside. Humperdink even got his hands into the mix. Destroyer wasn't helping his partner by distracting the referee. The referee turned around and counted to 10 giving the S.S.T. a big win by count out.
5. Ivan Koloff w/Capt. Lou Albano vs. Steve Williams
Ivan Koloff is a former N.W.A. World's champion. Steve Williams would like nothing more than to make a name for himself by desposing of the hated Russian Bear. Steve Williams was indeed the crowd favorite despite using underhanded tactics recently in tag matches with Ted Dibiase. Koloff knew he had to use every dirty trick in the book to win this one. Williams and Koloff exchanged moves back and forth with neither man getting the upper hand. Soon the two behemouths were brawling all over the ringside area with the referee losing control. Albano seized the chance to distract the referee so Koloff could grab his chain he brought with him. Koloff wrapped the chain around his fist and landed a stiff punch right to the top of Williams's head to bust him open. Koloff rolled Williams back inside and tried to get Williams to submit to the bearhug but Williams wouldn't quit. Williams broke the bearhug and took the action back outside of the ring. Williams picked up and chair and connected with Koloff's skull, causing Koloff to bleed buckets. The referee saw the chair shot and called for the bell. The referee raised Koloff's hand in victory and awarded him the contest by disqualification. A thunderous roar of boos echoed throughout the arena. Williams grabbed the chair and chased Koloff and Albano from ringside and then turned his frustrated attention the referee. After laying the referee out he picked the referee back up and delivered a big Oklahoma Stampede to a huge ovation from the fans.
6. Killer Bees vs. The Henchmen w/Sherri Martel (Buddy Rose and Bob Orton)
The Henchmen are looking to rebound from their embarassing loss to The Midnight Express last week. The Killer Bees would love nothing more than to pull of the upset and beat The Henchmen. Brian Blair started off the contest against Buddy Rose. Rose was playing to the fans at ringside and with his back turned Blair landed a stiff dropkick to the back of Rose. Soon Blair tagged in Jim Brunzell. Brunzell connected with a big dropkick. Watching Brunzell deliver a dropkick is watching a thing of beauty. Brunzell tagged back in Blair who tried to make Rose tap with the scorpion. Orton snuck into the ring and pulled Blair off of Rose. Rose crawled to his corner to make the tag. Orton came into the ring and showed just why he is considered such a great technician in the ring. Orton delivered a text book perfect powerslam to Blair. Orton hooked the leg for the pin but Brunzell pulled Orton off. In the chaos that was ensuing the Bees rolled out of the ring and under the apron. The both came out looking the worst for ware and wearing masks. The referee couldn't tell the two of them apart when Brunzell climbed into the ring and rolled up Orton for a close 2 count. Orton tagged in Rose and the two double teamed Brunzell. Rose climbed up top and landed a vicious knee drop from the top rope and covered Brunzell for the pin. Blair tried to break up the count but Sherri Martel held onto his foot keeping him from entering the ring. The winners of this match by pinfall are The Henchmen.
7. Rick Rude w/Bobby Heenan (champion) vs. Steve Corino (challenger
T.V. Title Match
This match was one that the fans at ringside and those at home are anticipating. Corino knew that he was within inches of winning the T.V. title. The two combatants locked up in the center of the ring with Rick Rude gaining the upper hand. Rude quickly went to work on Corino's neck. Soon Rude set Corino up for the Rude Awakening but Corino escaped and rolled outside of the ring. Corino climbed back in the ring only to be met with a stiff clothesline. Rude knew that victory was soon to be his. He swivled his hips and even grabbed the house mic to tell the fans to shut up and let the ladies see what a real man looks like. Corino soon was on his feet and delivered a devastating lariat clothesline, it was so pretty it would have made Stan Hansen proud. Corino then connected with a savate kick that had the crowd rising to their feet. Corino went outside the ring and bodyslammed Bobby Heenan. Corino then grabbed a fans cane and cracked it over the head of Rick Rude. The referee was checking on Heenan so he didn't see the cane shot. Corino rolled Rude back into the ring and covered him for the 1,2,3. The referee raised Corino's hand in victory and handed him the T.V. title. Corino then took the house mic and declared himself the only real oldschool champion around the Mid-Atlantic and the rest of the has been's better take notice of a real champion. He then told the crowd that he was please to be their champion and unlike other T.V. champions of the past he would defend his title with honor and dignity.
8. Dan Severn w/Sherri Martel (champion) vs. Greg Valentine (Challenger)
National title match
Dan Severn was jawjacking with some old lady at ringside. Valentine attacked Severn from behind landing a vicous Hammer forearm to Severn's back. Valentine then turn Severn over and locked on the figure four. Severn was screaming in pain. Sherri tried to rake Valentine's eyes but the referee stopped her before she could. Severn couldn't take the pain anymore and soon gave up. The winner of the match and NEW National champion Greg Valentine. That match was short and quick and Valentine looked like a man pocessed.
9. Buddy Rogers and Jimmy Snuka (champions) vs. The Heavenly Bodies w/Jim Cornette
Jim Cornette had promised the champions that he had a surprise for them. Rogers accepted the challenge claiming that the champions would make quick work of any team. Cornette then introduced the the "Sultan of Swing" Sweet Stan Lane. The crowd was rather perplexed because they had been seeing him team with Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey. Cornette then said making his way to the ring the "Dr. of Desire" Tom Pritchard. At this point Rogers came unglued. He was yelling at the referee claiming he wasn't ready for Tom Pritchard. Rogers then told the fans that since he wasn't prepared for Tom Pritchard that him and Snuka were going to leave the ring, and that The Heavenly Bodies could take the win by count out but there was no way they were defending the belts tonight. Commisioner Chris Swain strutted down to ringside and told Roger and Snuka that if they didn't defend their World Tag Titles tonight that they would be stripped of the belts and suspended for 120 days. Rogers was irate but made his way to the ring where Stan Lane greeted him with a karate kick. Lane then tagged in Tom Pritchard who delivered a dropkick. Snuka tried to enter the ring but Cornette slammed him across the back with his tennis raquet. This was looking like it was lights out for Rogers. Pritchard took a small chain out of his tights and wrapped it around the toe of his boot and punted Rogers right in the ribs. Pritchard tagged in Stan Lane who launched Pritchard off the top rope with a beautiful rocket launcher. The referee started to count the pin when Snuka interfered and pulled Pritchard off stopping the count. Rogers rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back and took the count out giving The Heavenly Bodies the win.
