Loved the promo from Buddy Rogers. Nice use of Jack Tunney; On the rare occasion that he did show up on WWF TV you knew he meant business and that s**t was going to go down! I'm sure Savage will want a re-match against The Nature Boy As always you perfectly capture the chemistry between Monsoon and Heenan. A bit surprised you didn't choose Mike McGuirk to be the ring announcer considering all the zingers Heenan threw her way over the years. Great stuff as always.😀 Thanks for following and the nice comments. I do enjoy Monsoon and Heenan. I have a few other jokes lined up for down the road. Far as I know we do not have a card for McGuirk and I was using the official card for Bobby Cruise. You are correct that Heenan tossed some her way more than once.

I would love a card for Mike McGuirk though and her father too. Perhaps we'll see Leroy in next year's TNT Hall Of Fame set as he is a member. Mike could be included in Promoter Prime or even as a Special Edition card with some sort of Heenan interaction/insult option on the back.

September Week 1, Year 1
WWF Raw
King Kong Bundy vs Bobo Brazil
Two big men having a slugfest. Bobo showed his power when he lifted Bundy and slammed him. A few minutes in Bobo used his finisher, Coco Butt, but Bundy got his shoulder up at 2 1/2. It a bit over another minute before Bobo got the win with what was his third Coco Butt.
Winner: Bobo Brazil via pinfall (2 stars)
With the match over, King Kong Bundy argued that the referee only counted to three and not five. The referee explains that is how matches work. The five that Bundy asks for is optional.
Cowboy Bob Orton Jr is talking to Rowdy Roddy Piper. He asks Piper if maybe it is time to move on from the feud with Blackjack Mulligan. Piper says no way and shame on Orton for even asking. He walks off and Orton takes off his cowboy hat, wipes his forehead and shakes his head in disbelief.
Sgt. Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Shiek
Volkoff and Iron Shiek come down first, each waving the flag of their country. Then the Russian National Anthem plays and Volkoff begins to sing along when "at-ten-hut" is heard and the fans start chanting "U S A". Slaughter and Duggan come marching out. They get in the ring and the referee works to keep both teams apart until the match officially starts.
Jim Duggan and Nikolai Volkoff begin for their teams and the Russian is all over Hacksaw. After a couple minutes he tags Iron Shiek in puts the screws to Duggan. Hacksaw is finally able to tag out. Sgt. Slaughter came in and was like a house on fire. It only lasts a minute or so. Then Shiek regains control for his team. First, he tried to submit Slaughter with a Boston Crab and then it was his Camel Clutch finisher. Both times Slaughter refused to tap out. Shiek tagged Volkoff back in. He worked over Slaughter for a bit then hit his Backbreaker Drop finisher. Duggan entered the ring to try and make the save but Iron Shiek met him and as the two men threw haymakers the referee counted three.
Winner: Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Shiek by pinfall (2 stars)
Fans boo and some chant "U S A".
The Invaders are seen arriving to the arena, carrying their bags with them. They walk into the arena and are walking in back. Most people see them coming and move away from the path they are walking. Then Dr. Death Steve Williams stops and puts his hand out to stop Terry Gordy. Williams motions over to where the Midnight Rockers are doing some stretches.
Steve Williams: Well, looky there. The WWF has some of those mini wrestlers.
Terry Gordy: Oh yea, I remember seeing some of them when I was down in Mexico.
The two men walk over to the Rockers. Williams tells them that he and Gordy think it is great they are getting to perform on the same show as real full-sized wrestlers. He then tussles Marty's hair before he and Gordy walk off laughing. The Midnight Rockers are not amused by this exchange.
Adrain Adonis vs Dan Spivey
Adrian Adonis had a couple easier matches to start his time in WWF. He was stepping up in competition. Dan Spivey had not been seen in a couple months. It seems he spent the time working out as he looked in the best shape of his life. Early on it did not matter as Adonis dominated the action. But Spivey was not going down without a fight. Thanks to an eye poke Spivey broke Adoni's momentum and was able to go on the attack. The match just got better and better as it went on. Adonis made a cover and got a two. Later Spivey made a cover. After Adonis kicked out, Spivey went for his Power Bomb finisher but Adonis was able to kick out. This match went almost the whole 15-minute time limit. Adonis started to wear Spivey down and finally put him away thanks to Goodnight Irene.
Winner: Adrian Adonis via submission/sleeper (4 stars)
Bret Hart is shown arriving to the arena. As he walks in, he is approached by Mean Gene.
Mean Gene: Hitman, can I have a moment of your time. We have not seen the other members of the Hart Foundation for some time. What is going on?
Bret Hart: Well Gene, Owen has taken a break and gone back to Canada. He is planning on resting for a while, maybe wrestle in Stampede and take time to decide where he wants his career to head. As far as Teddy and Davey Boy Smith Jr, they are taking their tag team over to Japan and New Japan Pro Wrestling. They will get some good experience over there. So, for now, there is no Hart Foundation. Thanks Gene.
He walks off.
Mean Gene: Thank you Bret. Back to you Gorilla and Heenan.
In the studio Gorilla and Heenan are talking about the King of the Ring PPV coming up soon. Two news names have been added to the tournament. One is "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. The other is a new face to WWF. A man who has made a name for himself in Hawaii and on the West Coast, Don "The Rock" Muraco.
Gorilla Monsoon: I hear that Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco have had some issues in the past.
Bobby Heenan: Yea, you know why don't you?
Gorilla Monsoon: No. Why don't you enlighten us, Brain.
Bobby Heenan: Muraco is mad that Snuka gave him fleas.
Gorilla Monsoon: Jimmy doesn't have fleas. Give me a break.
Bobby Heenan: No, not now. They all jumped off of him. Even the fleas found Jimmy to be too dirty.
Gorilla Monsoon: Will you cut it out. It's time for our main event. Let's go to the ring. Only flea bag around here is you, Bobby.
The Invaders vs Killer Bees
The Invaders started before the match trying to overpower the Killer Bees who countered with speed. Once the match officially started things were even for a short period. The Bees used double teaming moves to keep Steve Williams off guard. Then Dr. Death fought back against Jim Brunzell. He tagged Terry Gordy and they flattened Jim with a double football tackle. Terry did not waste much time before using a Bamm Bamm Slam to get the win for his team.
Winner: The Invaders by pinfall (2 stars)
As fans booed The Invaders posed in the ring. Then the Midnight Rockers ran down, and the fans started to cheer. They hit quick, explosive offense on The Invaders. The Killer Bees joined in, sending The Invaders to the floor. As the show ends, we see the Midnight Express and Killer Bees standing tall in the ring, The Invaders glaring up at them from the floor and hear the fans cheering loudly.
WCW Nitro
Tony Schiavone: Welcome to another exciting episode of Nitro. Moose will be defending the United States title in our main event. The Road Warriors and Big Van Vader will also be in action. In our opening match it will be two of the cruiserweights as Juvi, Juventud Guerrera takes on a newcomer to WCW, Eli Everfly. Let's go to the ring for that match now.
Juventud Guerrera vs Eli Everfly
Eli Everfly is already in the ring as Juventud makes his entrance. He is slapping hands with ringside fans as he walks to the ring. Juvi is not a big man but he looked like one next to Eli. That size advantage along with his experience edge allowed him to control the early action. It seemed he was on the way to a quick win. Eli was down on the mat and Juvi went to grab him when Evi spat green mist into Juvi's face. That allowed Eli to make a comeback. He ended up with the win after his finisher, Destroy All Humans.
Winner: Eli Everfly by pinfall (2 stars)
Before the next match as Big Van Vader was making his way out, he was stopped by Gordon Solie. He talked to Vader who went off about not being given a title shot of any kind. He better start getting respect from the front office or he will be forced to make waves.
Big Van Vader vs Brad Armstrong
Vader was still fired up after his interview and jumped Brad right at the bell. Well, maybe right before it. Either way Vader was rolling but after a couple minutes Brad was able to fight back some. It did not last long. Vader made a pin attempt and shortly after Brad kicked out Vader hit a Vader Bomb and made the pin.
Winner: Big Van Vader via pinfall (1 star)
Vader was still pumped up so after the bell he continued beating on Brad. He hit another Vader Bomb. He then positioned Brad in a corner and climbed to the top rope. It looked like he was getting ready for a moonsault when over the speaker system the sounds of gun fire is heard and two men come running out. Tony points out they are BG James and Kip James, the tag team of The James Gang. Seeing them running down Vader got off the turnbuckle and exited the ring as they slide in. They checked on BG's brother as Vader walks off toward the back.
A short video showing how the unknown masked luchador has been attacking members of the Four Horsemen.
Road Warriors vs Samoan Swat Team
The opening riff of Iron Man plays and the crowd pops. The Warriors come running down and attack SST. They toss Samu out of the ring and Animal starts the match against the slightly weakened Alofa. Animal brutalized him for a while but then Alofa tagged out to Samu. He stunned Animal and had him on his heels. Animal made the hot tag to Hawk. He rushed Samu and after a bit tagged Animal and they performed Doomsday Device. Animal pinned Samu.
Winner: Road Warriors by pinfall (2 stars)
Tony is talking about the recent history between Road Warriors and Powers of Pain. If on cue, The Barbarian and Warlord come out and start to make their way down to the ring. Then half a dozen security guards come out and try and stop them. It was working but Road Warriors decided to come meet the Powers of Pain. Both teams send the guards flying and then start fighting each other. It is a pier six brawl as the four men fight into back and out of range of the camera.
A video of WCW World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli at the opening of a new mall. He is signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. He is asked about who will get the first shot as his title he says he will be making an announcement about that soon.
Moose w/Ric Flair vs Uhaa Nation for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship
Moose had no desire to lose his title and he took the fight to Uhaa from the start of the match. He used his Spear finisher but Uhaa kicked out. Then it was the pounce, a move that Uhaa likes to use too. Uhaa was able to fight back for a short while, but Moose took back control and used a second Spear to beat Uhaa.
Winner: Moose by pinfall to retain (2 stars)
As Moose is handed his US title belt and getting ready to leave the ring the masked luchador enters the ring behind him. The luchador dropkicks Moose in his back sending him crashing into the turnbuckle. Then he grabs Moose's head and bends him backward before hitting a reverse DDT. Ric Flair is waving toward the back and the rest of the Horsemen come running out. The luchador flies out of the ring, hops the barricade and disappears into the crowd. Flair and the Horsemen are checking on Moose and scanning the crowd for the luchador as the show ends.
ECW Chaos
As Chaos comes on the air, we see Abdullah The Butcher beating down on Kenny King in the back as Sir Oliver Humperdink watches nearby. Kenny is in really bad shape when his tag partner, Rhett Titus, runs in and jumps on the back of Abdullah. It looks like Titus might make a successful save when suddenly a returning One Man Gang comes in and yanks Titus off of Abullah. Then he and Abdullah put the boots to both Titus and King. Sir Oliver Humperdink gives out a whistle and motions that it is time to leave. He walks off and the two big monsters follow him.
Joey Styles: OMG. As in oh my good but also as in One Man Gang. The Gang is back, and it looks like he is under the tutelage of Sir Oliver Humperdink. It seems Humperdink is putting together a formidable stable. First Abdullah and now One Man Gang. Let us not forget the mysterious Prince of Darkness. This is quite an army Humperdink has. Is anyone in ECW safe from them? We will get you an update on the members of All Night Express once we have it. For now, let's look at the show we have for you tonight. First, after making a surprise save of Necro Butcher last week Justin Credible will take on Rhino of Raven's Flock. Then Vampiro continues his feud with Stever Corino in a street fight. Hopefully they do not literally tear the house down. Then, in our main event, The Pitbulls will defend the ECW World Tag Team Championship against the hottest team in ECW right now, War Machine. Time for our opening match.
Rhino w/Stevie Richards vs Justin Credible
Rhino overpowered Justin throughout the match. He hit a Gore! early in the match but Justin was able to kick out. Justin got in a bit of offense here and there but nothing significate. A second Gore! allowed Rhino to secure the victory.
Winner: Rhino by pinfall (2 stars)
Stevie Richards slid a chair into the ring and then slid himself in. Rhino lifted Justin and held his arms behind his back. As Stevie prepared to smack Justin with the chair Necro Butcher came running out from back. Stevie pointed him out to Rhino, dropped the chair and jumped over the top rope. Rhino released Justin and rolled out of the ring just before Necro got his hands on him. Much like last week Necro and Justin just stare at each other.
A big announcement that next week's main event will be The Sandman defending the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Shane Douglas. Who will be the World champion at the end of the night next week?
Vampiro vs Steve Corino in a Street Fight
The first five minutes or so did not see the match leave the ring. Vampiro controlled most of the action. He made a pair of pin attempts including one after a Nail In The Coffin but did not get the pin. He then threw Steve out to the floor. As Steve laid there Vampiro jumped off the apron and dropped an elbow on him. Vampire then lifted Steve and sent him crashing into a few chairs set up by the timekeeper's desk. Vampiro is punching and kicking Steve as Steve tries to get away from him. They end up in back near a TV production area. Steve grabs a monitor and slams it into Vampiro's face. Then Steve performs Old School Expulsion and goes for the cover, but Vampiro is able to kick out.
Now it is Vampiro trying to get away from Steve who stalks him, getting in a kick or punch here and there. Back in the ring Steve starts strong but soon Vampiro is back in control. He decides to take the fight back to the floor. He reaches under the ring and pulls out a fire extinguisher. He shoots it at Steve making it hard for Steve to see not to mention for the fans to see Steve. Vampiro grabs Steve and hits a suplex that sends Steve's back crashing into the ring apron and then he falls to the mat. Vampiro attempts a cover but Steve kicks out. Vampiro is tossing Steve around the ring and into the barricade. He makes a couple more pin attempts to no avail. He grabs the timekeeper's bell and slams it into Steve's face. It busts Steve's forehead up and he is bleeding. Vampiro attempts one more cover before taking the match back into the ring. Steve is bleeding quite a bit and he looks out on his feet. Vampiro looks at him, teasing Steve as he dares Steve to hit him. Steve swings wildly. Then Vampiro grabs him, hits Nail In The Coffin and finally makes the pin.
Winner: Vampiro via pinfall (4 stars)
A promo for the returning RVD. He will be back on Chaos soon.
The Pitbulls vs War Machine for the ECW Tag Team Championship
Pitbull #1 and Hanson start for their teams. Hanson catches Pitbull #1 off guard and comes at him like a runaway train. After an unsuccessful pin attempt he tags Raymond Rowe and they go for the kill with War Machine. As Rowe makes the cover Pitbull #2 comes in and pulls him off. That led to War Machine double teaming #2 and sending him spilling over the top rope with a double clothesline. Rowe keeps the heat on and makes another pin attempt but #1 kicks out. Hanson tags back in and uses a Spinning Kick of Doom. He almost got the win but #1 kicked out right before the three. Rowe is tagged in and a minute later lifts #1 up in a stalling suplex. The crowd counts to 15 as #1 has all the blood rushing to his head. As Rowe falls back #1 slams to the mat. Rowe goes for the cover and the crowd count with the referee this time and they get to three. We have new tag team champions and the fans cheer.
Winner: War Machine by pinfall to win the titles (2 stars)
PWI News and Notes:
BREAKING NEWS: We have a new NWA World Champion. A young upstart who has earned his experience in promotions across Canada and Japan, Kenny Omega, beat grizzled vet Harley Race. The match took place in Japan in the promotion New Japan Professional Wrestling (NJPW) where Kenny Omega is the leader of the faction Bullet Club. This is of course the biggest title on Omega's resume.

September Week 2, Year 1
WWF Raw
Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome to the last Raw before the King Of The Ring PPV. We have the last two names that will be in the actual tournament to crown the first ever WWF King of the Ring.
Bobby Heenan: It's not you and me, is it?
Gorilla Monsoon: Will you stop it. No, it is not us Bobby. The two wrestlers are Killer Kowalski and a newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation, Adrian Adonis.
Bobby Heenan: That is my pick to win it.
Gorilla Monsoon: Which one? I gave two names.
Bobby Heenan: Exactly.
Gorilla Monsoon: Give me a break Brain. In addition to the King of the Ring tournament there will two other matches. In a return match, the Macho Man, Randy Savage, will take on "Nature Boy" Buddy Rodgers. In the other match King Kong Bundy has challenged Bobo Brazil into what is being called a Five Count match. To win the match you have to pin your opponent for a five count instead of the usual three.
Bobby Heenan: We will need a special referee for that match.
Gorilla Monsoon: I don't think so Bobby. The officials here in the WWF are top notch and can handle these two big men.
Bobby Heenan: Yea but they will have to count to five and none of them can count that high.
Gorilla Monsoon: What is wrong with you? Let's go to the ring for our opening bell.
Rowdy Roddy Piper w/Bob Orton Jr vs Blackjack Mulligan
The opening moments of the match saw both men fighting to gain the advantage over the other. Piper was the first to do so. He slapped on his Sleeper finisher, but Mulligan worked his way into a corner and slammed his back into the turnbuckle with Piper taking the blunt of the damage forcing him to release the hold. Orton is on the floor encouraging Piper to keep it going. He grabbed a chair and got on an apron as Piper got Mulligan back in the Sleeper. It looked like Mulligan was fading. The referee saw Orton and went to the ropes. He ordered Orton to return to the back. Orton throws a fit, but he leaves.
Piper gets mad and releases the hold and yells at the referee. He turns around and gets slugged by Mulligan. Now it is Blackjack's turn to unleash fury on Piper. He tries everything he can to put away Piper including using his Claw finisher. Mulligan tosses Piper out of the ring. He goes out and grabs a chair and prepares to smash Piper with the chair. The referee rips the chair out of Mulligan's hands and threatens to end the match. Mulligan looks like he wants to punch the referee but he just tosses Piper back into the ring. It is not long before Blackjack throws Piper thru the ropes once again. This time when he goes to the floor to attack Piper he ends up on the receiving end of a Mexican uppercut. The referee unleashes a tirade on Piper who just laughs and ignores him. Piper takes the match back to the ring and he again puts Mulligan in his Sleeper. Mulligan fights out of it and as Piper tries to regain the advantage, he ends up in the Clawhold. Piper is in anguishing pain and taps out.
Winner: Blackjack Mulligan by submission/sleeper (4 stars)
Once the match was over Mulligan placed Piper in the Clawhold again. As the referee is calling for the bell, the timekeeper is ringing it over and over, Bob Orton Jr. comes running down with a chair. He slides in the ring and sends Mulligan flying out of the ring. Orton looks down at Mulligan and points at him. Then his nasty facial expression changes to a smile and he turns around and smashes the chair down onto Piper. He hits Piper over and over as the crowd boos. Then he throws the chair down on him. He goes to the ropes and Blackjack Mulligan hands him a microphone.
Bob Orton Jr: I told you Roddy. I told you to move on from your obsession with Mulligan. But you would not. You brought this on yourself. This cowboy is sick and tired of you. You are just nuts. Blackjack Mulligan is my kind of guy. A man's man. Together we are a pair of outlaws. Going forward that is who we are. The tag team of The Outlaws. Do yourself a favor Roddy. Retire. Go home and never come back to the WWF. He then stomps on the chair that lays on Piper before leaving with Blackjack.
Standing in the interview area Mean Gene is talking to Mr. Fuji.
Mene Gene: Now that The Rising Sons have lost the WWF World Tag Team Championship, what is next for you and Mr. Saito?
Mr. Fuji: Ah we have decided to do our own things. Masa Saito has returned to Japan to spend some time with his friends and family. Meanwhile, I am stepping away from active wrestling and will be focusing on starting the next chapter in my career as a manager. I have been in talks with someone currently wrestling in New Japan and I will be bringing him to the states to be the first man I manage. I will not reveal his name at this time. However, he is a big star, and I will lead him to the top of the WWF. Mark my words Okerlund-san.
PG-13 w/Malcolm vs The Bushwackers
The team of PG-13 used their speed to have the Bushwackers on the defensive early on but then The Bushwackers used his power to fight back. They double teamed Wolfie D and attempted a pin attempt after a Double Gutbuster. He kicked out. They went for their finisher a second time and again he kicked out. The Bushwackers shrugged at each other and hit it a third time. JC Ice came in to try and make the save but Butch stopped him. Luke Williams earned the win for his team.
Winner: The Bushwackers via pinfall (2 stars)
As Malcolm leads his team to the back, he is chewing them out. They try and plead their case as Wolfie D is holding his gut and appears to be in pain.
Buddy Rogers and The Invaders are in their locker room drinking some cans of beers and laughing when Matt Striker walks in.
Steve Williams: Can we help you with something?
Matt Striker: Hey compadres. I love what you guys are doing here. Taking over this lame company and flexing your muscles. New World Association. N W A 4 eva, am I right? I want to join you guys.
Terry Gordy: Excuse me?
Matt Striker: Yea, you remember when you first showed up. I was in a match with that hack Hacksaw, and you came in and laid him out. I sat back, gave you your space. We acknowledged each other. Mutual respect and all that. So, what do you say? Can I join the N W A?
Buddy Rogers: Sure, sure you can. You just need to enter the door into our super-secret clubhouse.
He gets up and starts leading Matt over toward the lockers. Steve opens one up and Buddy with help from Terry shoves Matt into the locker and then they slam the door shut.
Steve Williams: Welcome to the club...NERD!
The three men let out loud heckling laughs. Then they grab their beers and head out. Matt is heard knocking on the door and asking, then begging, to be let out.
Sgt Slaughter w/Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Nikolai Volkoff w/Iron Shiek
Volkoff went on the attack at the bell. Shiek kept encouraging him. Slaughter fought back a bit but could not get much going. Volkoff kept using his power to beat Slaughter down. A Backbreaker Drop finally brought the match to its conclusion.
Winner: Nikolai Volkoff by pinfall (2 stars)
A promo for the King Of The Ring PPV this Sunday. Who will win the tournament and be the first King of the WWF?
Mr. Hughes w/Malcolm vs Big John Studd in a non-title match
While the World title was not on the line a win for Studd would put him in line for a title shot. So, he was all over Mr. Hughes from the get go. He had the champion in trouble as Malcolm looked worried. But this was not Mr. Hughes first rodeo. He kept fighting back and while it took a few minutes he started to wear the big man down. He tried his finisher but Studd kicked out. It was a lifting choke hold that finally ended Studd's hope for the upset.
Winner: Mr. Hughes via pinfall (3 stars)
Before Raw ends, we see a janitor sweeping in a locker room and he hears banging on one of the lockers. He goes to open it and Matt Striker comes stumbling out.
Matt Striker: That's it. That is IT. I am done with this place. I get no respect. Who am I, Rodney Dangerfield? I am gone.
He storms off leaving a confused janitor standing there holding his broom.
WCW Nitro
Tony Schiavone: Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of Nitro. WCW President Jim Crockett Jr is standing in the ring. Let's see what he has to say.
Jim Crockett Jr: We here at WCW have some big news we want to share with you. For the first time in many years, we are adding a new title belt. This will be a special belt with a weight limit of 220 lbs. It will be the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. We will be holding a tournament of the 16 best cruiserweights from here in WCW and around the world to crown the inaugural champion. The tournament kicks off next week with two opening round matches. We will continue to have two matches each week thru the opening round and quarterfinals leading up to the Halloween Havoc PPV at the end of October. On the PPV we will have the semifinals and finals to crown the first ever WCW Cruiserweight champion. Good luck to all in the tournament and may the best man win.
Tony Schiavone: That is some great news there. I have been privileged to see some of the names being brought in for the tournament and I for one am very excited for it. I am sure once you see who is entered you will be too. Let's go the ring for our opening bout.
Jushin Liger vs RJ City
Tony points out that RJ City is one of the men in the Cruiserweight tournament and of course LIger will be in it too. RJ levels Liger at the start of the match. He struts around with a big smile on his face. Thus, he does not see Liger recovered until it is too late. Liger is battling him and the match flows from one man to the other being in control. The good match ended when RJ slapped Liger and appeared to turn his back on him. It was a ruse and as Liger charged RJ turned around and hit a running tackle. RJ City will have some momentum going into the tournament.
Winner: RJ City via pinfall (3 stars)
A promo video showing a bedroom lit by numerous candles. Silk sheets on the bed. Romantic smooth jazz playing. Then the words "The Midnight Lover is coming to WCW" appear.
Brad Armstrong is getting a drink from a water cooler when his dad Bob Armstrong walks up.
Bob: Boy, have I got some good news for you. For us actually.
Brad: Oh yea, what?
Bob: You will be teaming with your old man tonight. In the main event. For the WCW World Tag Team belts.
Brad: (looking stunned, is quiet for a bit) Are you serious?
Bob: Darn tootin. So, we better go get ready and discuss our strategy.
As the two walk off Bob is doing the talking as Brad listens.
"Wildfire" Tommy Rich vs Disco Inferno
Disco comes down in his usual attire with one noticeable difference. He is wearing a cowboy had. Along with his usual attempt at some disco dancing he tries to do a bit of a boot scootin' boogie. Once the match begins Tommy looks to finish Disco quickly. He hits a Thesz Press and covers for a two count. It takes a couple minutes, and Disco gets a bit of offense in, but Tommy wins with a Wildfire Sleeper.
Winner: "Wildfire" Tommy Rich by submission/sleeper (2 stars)
Before leaving the ring Tommy grabs the cowboy hat that Disco wore to the ring and covers Disco's face with it as he lays on the mat.
A promo from Bryan Danielson in the interview area.
Bryan Danielson: I am getting sick and tired of being an upstanding citizen in the WCW being jumped by this masked crazy from the other side of the border. Not to mention seeing my friends in the Four Horsemen also being on the receiving end of vicious uncalled for assaults. That is why I am sending out a challenge to this coward behind the mask. Face me in a one-on-one match at Halloween Havoc. Let's get this issue settled once and for all. I doubt you have the guts to face me in the ring, but I am hoping you have enough of an ego to think you can beat me and you do accept.
Before the shot ends, he shoots up the Four Horsemen hand sign.
A video for the Halloween Havoc PPV. It mentions the Cruiserweight Championship and how the semifinals and finals will be on the PPV.
Bryan Danielson w/Ric Flair vs Tiger Mask
Bryan wanted this match because he feels Tiger Mask is in cahoots with the mysterious luchador. Tiger Mask wanted it because he was disrespected by Bryan. The match was a really good match that saw both men put their opponent in trouble. Bryan started to break Tiger Mask down and used a diving head butt to finally put him away.
Winner: Bryan Danielson via pinfall (3 stars)
Flair enters the ring and tells Bryan it is time to leave. But Bryan keeps looking around toward the fans. He is searching for the luchador. It looks like he is about to leave when his eyes get huge and he points toward the crowd. Flair is looking and asking Bryan what he sees. Bryan jumps over the top rope, lands on the floor and makes his way into the fans. He makes his way to one who is wearing a luchador mask like the mystery luchador who has been attacking the Horsemen. Bryan grabs him and is shaking him. Then he rips off the mask and it is just a terrified fan. Ushers come over to pull Bryan off of the fan. Flair joins them and points toward the stage. Standing on it is the luchador. He appears to be laughing, one hand on his belly and the other pointing toward where Bryan is. Soon as Bryan starts to make his way toward the stage the luchador turns around and runs off.
Tony Schiavone: Recently we have seen some altercations between the former World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors and the new kids on the block the team of the Powers of Pain. Well, these two teams will get to get their hands on each other in an official match. That goes down at the Halloween Havoc PPV. Also, it has been confirmed that the mysterious luchador will be facing Bryan Danielson at the PPV. Those two matches along with the Cruiserweight semi and finals makes the PPV already a must see. There are still more matches to come.
Midnight Express w/ James E. Cornett vs Bob and Brad Armstrong for the WCW World Tag Team Championship
Bobby Eaton and "Bullet" Bob start for their teams. Bob has Bobby on his heels right away and tries to end it with a Sleeper but Bobby fights out of it. Bob makes an early tag to Brad to keep his team fresh. After a minute or so Bobby is able to tag out. From there we see frequent tags from both teams and double teaming from the Express. The champs appear to be clearly on their way to a win but the Armstrongs keep battling. Stan Lane hits a Russian Leg Sweep on Bob and pins him.
Winner: Midnight Express by pinfall to retain (3 stars)
ECW Chaos
All Night Express are arriving to the arena when Chaos comes on the air.
Kenny King: Yo, Sir Oliver. Your boys jumped us last week. We want a tag team match with your boys this week. Come get some boy.
Jerry Lynn vs Alex Shelley
Lynn asked for this rematch as he is tired of being disrespected by Shelley and Sabin. Things did not go the way he wanted. He tried to catch Alex off guard at the start of the match with a flying dropkick but Alex moved out of the way. From there it was all Alex. He forced Jerry to tap to the Border City Stretch.
Winner: Alex Shelley via pinfall
Justin Credible is seen arriving to the arena. He is rolling his suitcase in back when Necro Butcher walks up to him. Both men stare at each other for several tense seconds, their nostrils flaring. Then Justin continues on his way as Necro watches him leave.
All Night Express are in the ring when Sir Oliver Humperdink walks out to the stage.
Sir Oliver Humperdink: I hear you boys want a match with me men. Is that correct?
Both men in the ring are saying "yea" and nodding their heads. Kenny King is gesturing to come down to the ring.
Sir Oliver Humperdink: Ok then, you two got it.
The smiles on the faces of All Night Express turn into disbelief when it is not Abdulah and One Man Gang that walk out but two masked wrestlers. It is The Spoiler and The Grappler. The jumbotron lists them as Masked Madness.
Joey Styles: What is this? What a swerve by Humperdink. Are these members part of his stable or just hired help to throw All Night Express off their game?
Masked Madness w/Sir Oliver Humperdink vs All Night Express
The Grappler and Rhett Titus kick things off. Titus hits an elevated dropkick that makes The Grappler stumble backwards but did not take him off his feet. Rhett was so shocked that it let The Grappler level him with a clothesline and go on the attack. The Grappler then tagged The Spoiler in who kept things rolling for his team. It looked like Masked Madness would pick up an easy W in their ECW debut. But Rhett fought back and made the hot tag. Kenny King used his hit and run offense to keep the big man off balance.
King tagged Rhett and they double teamed The Grappler. Another tag among All Night Express and they hit One Night Stand. As King made the cover The Grappler came in and hit a clothesline from behind...on the referee. A couple stomps on the referee and The Grappler used his foot to push him out of the ring. That led to all four men brawling in and out of the ring. Finally, another referee comes out but as he is walking down the entrance ramp Abdullah and One Man Gang came out and attacked him. That is two referees taken out. Joey says there is only one referee left in back, but he is refusing to come out.
Security rush out and force Abdullah and One Man Gang to the back. Sir Oliver came over to stop them but he was ordered to help or face arrest as a couple police officers walked over. Finally Sir Oliver gave in and he led Abdullah and One Man Gang to the back. A minute later the last referee comes out with a security detail to get him to the ring. It takes a while but he gets the match back under control. Kenny King hits The Spoiler with Coronation but The Spoiler kicks out. King makes the tag and All Night Express performs a second One Night Stand. Rhett Titus covers The Spoiler, and the referee makes the three count.
Winner: All Night Express by pinfall (3 stars)
As the referee is raising the arms of All Night Express, The Grappler comes in with a chair and blasts both members of the winners. Then he turns on the referee and grabs him before the referee can slip thru the ropes. Masked Madness double team the referee and leave him laid out in the ring with All Night Express as they head toward the back. The fans are giving them the business with boos and some choice words.
ECW President Tod Gordon is sitting behind his desk in his office talking on the phone.
Tod Gordon: Are you serious? All of them? We have the main event coming up. We NEED a referee. If we postpone it not only will the fans be upset but Shane will blow a gasket. I do not even want to think about that. (pause) So, what are we going to do? (pause) You have an idea? Who cares if I like it or not, we need to do something. (pause) Oh. Yea. I do NOT like that idea. (pause) No. No, you are right. It has to be done. Do you know where he is right now? (pause) Ok. I will go talk to him. Heaven help us.
He hangs up. Takes a deep breath then gets up and leaves his office. We go to a commercial break.
Back from break and Tod Gordon is approaching a souvenir stand. The man working the stand is none other than Bill Alfonso.
Bill Alfonso: Well hello Mr. Gordon. Did you come to get a shirt?
Tod Gordon: (sighs) No Bill. I came to give you one.
He then holds up his right hand and in it is a referee's shirt. Bill looks at it, his face has an expression of confusion and then of happiness.
Bill Alfonso: Does this mean you are giving me my old job back?
Tod Gordon: For tonight, yes. We need a referee for our main event and we seem to be all out of options with our regular referees. Do a fair job tonight and maybe, just maybe, you can continue to referee going forward.
Bill Alfonso: (A huge smile crosses his face and he holds his left-hand palm up and chops it in the middle with his right hand) Right down the middle Mr. Gordon. You can count on me. I will call the match right down the middle. Fair and square. Yes sir, fair and square.
After Bill takes the referee's shirt Tod tells him to hurry up, the match starts soon. Then he walks off.
Tod Gordon: God save the queen.
The Sandman vs Shane Douglas for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship (special referee Bill Alfonso)
Fans are surprised when Bill Alfonso comes out to referee the main event. Shane comes out first to a chorus of boos. Then the world champ The Sandman takes his time coming out thru the crowd. Smoking and drinking. He shares some beers with some of the fans before finally entering the ring.
The bell rings to start the match but Bill tells Shane to stand back as he checks on The Sandman again for hidden objects. Shane used this opportunity to attack The Sandman. He is all over the champ and makes a quick cover but The Sandman kicks out at one. Then Shane follows up with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex and gets a two. From there Shane dominates most of the action. The Sandman tries to fight back but he is woozy from the early attack from Shane. The challenger hits a pair of piledrivers and made one pin attempt. Then a back suplex and cover. Finally, The Sandman does not have enough left in the tank to kickout.
Winner: Shane Douglas via pinfall to win the title (2 stars)
The new champ holds up the title and points to the crowd. He is yelling at them about how he said he was the best. The fans rain boos down on him.
Before the show comes to an end the camera goes to the back where Sir Oliver Humperdink is standing with his four men (Abdullah The Butcher, One Man Gang, The Spoiler and The Grappler)
Sir Oliver Humperdink: See this collection of men I have assembled. See how fierce they are. See how they put fear into the hearts of men. Is that not correct Prince of Darkness?
The camera pans to show a man standing in the shadows.
Prince of Darkness: That is correct my loyal apprentice. You have done well. You have put together a strong base for my...Army of Darkness.
With that he walks out of the shadows to reveal it is wrestling legend Kevin Sullivan. He lets out a wild laughter. The laughter of the insane. As he laughs the picture freezes and the image starts to distort slightly. It looks like the end of some horror movie before the screen fades to black.

WWF King Of The Ring
Gorilla Monsoon and Jim Ross welcome us to the PPV. Gorilla goes over the entire card. Jim Ross says Bret Hart and Curt Henning are likely the favorites to win the tournament. He says Bundy is the master of the five count so he might be the favorite there. Finally, Buddy Rogers is one of the, if not the best in the world but Savage is focused and out for revenge. It could go either way. Then it is time for the opening match of the King of the Ring tournament.
Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs Koko B Ware in a King of the Ring quarterfinal match
The excellence of execution barely broke a sweat in this one. He went for his Sharpshooter finisher in the opening minutes, but Koko fought it off. Hart followed up with a Russian leg sweep and cover. Koko just could not get anything going. He was on the defensive pretty much the whole match. Finally, Hart locked on Sharpshooter and Koko tapped.
Winner: Bret "The Hitman" Hart via submission to move on to the semifinals (1 star)
"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka vs Don "The Rock" Muraco in a King of the Ring quarterfinal match
Jimmy went at Don after the opening bell, but Don's was too powerful and flung him off. Don got the early advantage, but Jimmy fought back. He went to the top and hit a picture perfect Superfly Leap and made the pin.
Winner: Jimmy Snuka by pinfall to move on to the semifinals (2 stars)
Gorilla and Jim are talking about the last match when the voice of Bobby Heenan is heard.
Bobby Heenan: Muraco would have won but he was too tired from picking fleas off of him all night.
Jim Ross: Mr. Heenan, how did you get on the broadcast? Where are you?
Bobby Heenan: Don't worry about me Oklahoma boy. Monsoon knows what I am talking about.
Gorilla Monsoon: Yes, I do Bobby. You must have been at the bar all night drinking with Muraco and gave him fleas.
Bobby Heenan: Not me Gorilla. It was Snuka. He's got more fleas than you have chins.
Gorilla Monsoon: Give me a break. Will someone in the production truck please cut his mic. Not sure how he was able to break in, but we do not need it.
Killer Kowalski vs Adrian Adonis in a King of the Ring quarterfinal match
As the match started Kowalski kept trying to grab Adrian but Adonis kept out of reach. Once Killer Kowalski did get his hands on Adrian it was a short match. A back breaker let Kowalski pick up the W and move on in the tournament.
Winner: Killer Kowalski via pinfall to move on to the semifinals (1 star)
Curt Henning vs D'lo Brown w/Malcolm
D'lo Brown was focused on the fact if he wins the King of the Ring tournament, he will get a World title shot. Sadly, that meant he looked past Curt Henning who made short work of him. Curt used a favorite move of his dad's, The Axe, to knock D'lo off.
Winner: Curt Henning by pinfall to move on to the semifinals (1 star)
As they returned to the back D'lo was chewing Malcolm out for not helping him in the match while Malcolm yelled at D'lo for losing so quickly.
King Kong Bundy vs Bobo Brazil in a Five Count match
Bundy tried to overpower Bobo early on but Bobo avoided too much damage. Then Bobo went to work. He used Coco Butt and covered but did not get even a three count. Bobo Brazil kept the pressure on Bundy. He used Coco Butt a few more times. He finally got past a three count but only a four. Bobo was determined to get the win and hit another Coco Butt. He made the cover and the referee counted to five. A happy Bobo had his arm raised and left as Bundy slowly recovered in the ring.
Winner: Bobo Brazil via pinfall for a five count (2 stars)
Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka in a King of the Ring semifinal match
Right after the match started Don Muraco came down and stood at the bottom of the entrance ramp to watch the match. It seemed to distract Snuka. He went for an early sleeper but Hart threw him off. After that Hart showed why he is one of the best technical wrestlers going today as he made short work of Snuka and used a bulldog to pick up the win. (snake eyes)
Winner: Bret "The Hitman" Hart by pinfall to advance to the finals (1 star)
Killer Kowalski vs Curt Henning in a King of the Ring semifinal match
A solid match that saw Henning having difficulties using his offense due to Kowalski's big power advantage. Curt kept fighting however. His fight started to slow down as Kowalski used Bombs Away numerous times. A jumping knee drop was the last straw and Kowalski won to advance.
Winner: Killer Kowalski via pinfall to advance to the finals (3 stars)
The King of the Ring final match is set. It will be the technique of Bret "The Hitman" Hart facing off against the power of Killer Kowalski. Who will come out on top as the King of the Ring of the World Wrestling Federation?
Gorilla Monsoon: What a great final we have in store. The excellence of execution taking on the power and savagery of Killer Kowalski.
Jim Ross: So true Gorilla. It will be a classic, I am sure. I can see that match going either way.
Bobby Heenan: Kowalski will win JR. He was my choice to win it all and as always, I am right because I am smarter than everyone else. It is why I am the Brain.
Gorilla Monsoon: How did you get a mic again Heenan? And may I remind you that you had two picks. Kowalski and Adonis.
Bobby Heenan: You do not have to remind me about anything anymore than I have to remind you when it is dinner time. Both my men would be in the final, but WWF officials put them in the same match in the quarterfinals. Only one man could advance. But Killer is there, and Killer will win. You can m...
Jim Ross: Thank you to whoever cut the Brain's mic.
Gorilla Monsoon: I want to apologize to your JR and to the fans watching at home. Bobby Heenan just has to be in the spotlight. He is unhappy he is not on the PPVs I think. Anyways, it is time the rematch between Buddy Rogers and Randy Savage.
Buddy Rogers vs "Macho Man" Randy Savage
This match was a shocker. Randy went at Buddy like the wild man he is known to be and Buddy did not seem prepared for the onslaught. It took just a couple minutes for Randy to attempt a pin. After Buddy kicked out Randy went to the high rent district. Gorilla and JR both said it was too early to try a high-risk move. Randy did not care and came soaring off the top with his Flying Elbow Drop finisher. It seemed to take the wind out of Buddy. Randy covered and the referee counted to three. The crowd cheered.
Winner: "Macho Man" Randy Savage by pinfall (1 star)
Savage was not able to enjoy his victory as soon after the final bell The Invaders, wearing the new nWa t-shirts, came out and made their way down to the ring. Savage prepared for them and as they tried to enter the ring he attacked. He was doing a good job early on at fending them off. Unfortunately, he was so focused on them he did not see Buddy recover and come from behind him. Buddy clipped Savage, Randy's knee buckled and the nWa pounced like a pack of wolves. All three men were destroying Savage when someone came out from the back. He was hard to miss as he was an over 7-foot-tall Andre the Giant. The crowd popped at the returning Giant. He pointed toward the nWa and had a scowl on his face. He got on the apron and stepped over the top rope. As he was doing that Buddy called to The Invaders and all three left the ring. Andre stared at them and checked on Randy Savage. As Savage finally got to his feet Andre wrapped his huge right hand around Randy's throat. Savage looks completely surprised and struggled to breath. Savage tried to get out of the hold but Andre lifted him high into the air. Andre held him there a bit then slammed him to the mat. The nWa celebrated on the floor then got back into the ring. Buddy comes over and hugs Andre the Giant. He faces the main camera, The Invaders standing on each side of him and Andre towering over Buddy from behind.
Gorilla Monsoon: It seems the nWa have just added to their numbers.
Jim Ross: Heaven help us. Can anyone in the WWF stand up to this powerful faction?
A video to promote the next PPV. In November it will be Survivor Series. What WWF wrestlers will survive the intense matches at Survivor Series?
Bobby Cruise comes out and makes the introductions for the main event. It is the final for the King of the Ring tournament. The winner will be the WWF King of the Ring.
Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs Killer Kowalski in the King of the Ring final match
A handshake to start the match in a show of respect. Then Hart went to work. He was not intimidated by Killer's size or power. He hit a bulldog that really seemed to stun the big man. Bret performed a Russian Leg Sweep and hooked a leg. The ref counted and the match was over just like that. (snake eyes...again)
Winner: Bret "The Hitman" Hart via pinfall to win the King of the Ring tournament (1 star)
After Hart has his arm raised by the referee Killer Kowalski comes over and shakes Hart's hand and lifts his arm, pointing at him. Hart thanks him before Kowalski leaves the ring. Hart goes to the corner as fans cheer.
Gorilla Monsoon: Well, that is our PPV. I hope you enjoyed it. Remember to tune into Raw for the official crowning of the King of the Ring Bret Hart. Also, the best wrestling action on TV. For Jim Ross I am Gorilla Monsoon. Thank you for watching King Of The Ring PPV and both of us will see you at the Survivor Series PPV in November.

September Week 3, Year 1
WWF Raw
As Raw comes on the air we see a wrestling legend walking in the back. Former WWF World Champion, Bob Backlund He is saying hi to wrestlers currently on the roster and some of the WWF staff. Then a highlight video from the King Of The Ring PPV is shown. After that the shot goes to the studio where Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are sitting.
Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome to Raw. What an action packed PPV we saw this past Sunday. Tonight, we do the official crowning of the new WWF King of the Ring, Bret Hart.
Bobby Heenan: Was that Bob Backlund I just saw walking in the back?
Gorilla Monsoon: Why yes it was Bobby. Are you a fan of his?
Bobby Heenan: No, he owes me $20. I need to go find him and get my money back.
Gorilla Monsoon: Will you sit down. You are not going anywhere. You have a job to do, and you are not going to bother Mr. Backlund.
Bobby Heenan: You wouldn't be saying that if it was you, he owned money. He'd have a broken leg already if he didn't pay you.
Gorilla Monsoon: Give me a break Heenan. Let's go to the ring for our opening match.
Don "The Rock" Muraco vs Hillbilly Jim
This was a short match lasting less than a minute. Early on Muraco hit a Russian Leg Sweep and followed up with his finisher, Hawaiian Hammer.
Winner: Don "The Rock" Muraco via pinfall (1 Star)
Gorilla Monsoon: An impressive win by the newcomer Muraco.
Bobby Heenan: Of course, it was impressive. He did not have to deal with Snuka's fleas.
Gorilla Monsoon: Will you knock it off. Let's to commercial.
The Nation Of Domination are standing in the ring.
Mr. Hughes: D'lo. I am disappointed in you. I have you the golden ticket. A shot at this (Taps the World title belt on his shoulder) and you failed. You could not even get out of the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. I am sorry bro, you are just not worthy.
With that PG-13 jump D'lo. He tries fighting them off but Mr. Huges hits D'lo in the face with the title belt. PG-13 roll D'lo out of the ring and it seems out of the Nation. Then some funky music plays and out come all four members of the New World Association. Buddy, Steve and Terry are wearing black and white n W a t-shirts while Andre has the letters on his wrestling singlet. They surround the ring.
Buddy Rogers: Mr. Hughes, you have something that belongs to me. I want a match for the WWF World Championship. I will beat you and take that belt back.
Before Mr. Hughes can respond Bret Hart comes out to the stage.
Bret Hart: Not so fast Buddy. You see, as the winner of the King of the Ring tournament I get a title shot. After I beat Mr. Hughes and become the new WWF World Champion then you can have a title shot.
Mr. Hughes: Whoa, slow your horses you chumps. Neither of you are getting a title shot. Buddy, I already beat you and that offer was for D'lo if he won the tournament, not you Bret.
Bret Hart: Well champ, you did not specify that. You said, and I quote, "Win the tournament and win a title shot." Here let me show you. (He points to the jumbotron and they play a clip from Saturday Night's Main Event where Mr. Hughes said it). Since you did not specify that offer was ONLY for D'lo it can be seen as an open challenge. Ask your high paid mouth piece Malcolm about that. Either way, I have talked to President Jack Tunney and he agrees. I will be getting a title shot sooner or later.
By now officials and security have come out to make sure no physical altercations happen as we go to commercial.
A promo for a new interview/talk show with hosts Gorilla Monsoon and his sidekick Bobby Heenan coming next week. Their first guest will be Olympic gold medal winner Kurt Angle.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan w/Sgt Slaughter vs Iron Shiek w/Nikolai Volkoff
Duggan started good but after a brawl on the floor Iron Shiek was in control. He attemped a pin then put Duggan in the Camel Clutch. Duggan refused to give up so Shiek released the hold and went back on the attack. He threw Duggan out of the ring and went out after him. Slaughter got in Shiek's way to keep him from getting at Duggan. When Shiek tried to get past him Slaughter slugged him resulting in the referee calling for the bell.
Winner: Iron Shiek by disqualification (2 stars)
After the bell Sgt Slaughter gets in the ring and is arguing with the referee. Then Shiek and Volkoff enter to make sure the referee does not get intimidated and change his mind. While the referee is dealing with the three men, Hacksaw grabs his 2x4 to the delight of the fans. He enters the ring and swings the board, hitting Shiek and sending Volkoff and the referee fleeing for their safety. The fans are loving it.
A small stage has been set up next to the main one that the wrestlers come out on. On the smaller stage "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, the WWF Intercontinental Champion, and Virgil are standing next to a young fan. DiBiase asks the fan if he can bounce a basketball ten times in a row. The young man says he can. DiBiase says if the fan can, he will give the fan $100. Virgil shows the fan five crisp $20 bills. The fan is excited for the opportunity until Virgil pulls the basketball out from under the stage and hands it to him. It is obvious the ball has been deflated some. DiBiase tells the fan to start and soon as the fan goes to bounce the ball it just lays on the ground. DiBiase tells the fan that he loses but not to feel too bad. Being a loser makes him equal to all the fans in attendance. He then starts laughing when a male voice is heard saying, "No, no, no. This will not do." Out walks the man whose voice we heard. It is none other than Bob Backlund. He walks out to the big stage, down the entrance ramp and over to the small stage. He pokes DiBiase in the chest and calls him a cheat. The two start having words and Bob ends up challenging DiBiase to a title match in the main event which DiBiase, full out of outrage and not thinking calmly, accepts to on the spot. Virgil tried to stop him but was unsuccessful. The fans cheer at the thought of this match as we go to commercial.
The Invaders vs Midnight Rockers
The Midnight Rockers did not appreciate being disrespected by The Invaders and asked for this match. Soon as The Invaders got to the ring, they went to attack the Rockers. Shawn and Marty were prepared and used their speed to counter the attack and have The Invaders on the defensive. Once the match officially started Marty Jannetty hit a Rocker Dropper on Steve Williams and got a two and a half. He was so close to a win that the fans thought he had it and cheered. Marty wanted to keep his team's advantage going so he tagged Shawn in.
Shawn went for a figure four and it looked like Steve might tag but he dragged himself and Shawn closer to the ropes and Steve grabbed them. After a bit Steve was able to start countering Shawn's offence and made a tag. Terry Gordy worked Shawn over until Shawn made the defensive tag and Marty came in. Marty was on his game and Terry was not ready for it. Marty hit a Rocker Dropper then pinned Terry. Revenge achieved.
Winner: Midnight Rockers via pinfall (3 stars)
The Invaders tried to get their hands on the Midnight Rockers after the match, but the Rockers escaped before any damage could be done.
A fancy looking throne is sitting on the small stage and a man dressed like a servant from an English castle is standing next to it holding a crown and scepter. Mene Gene Okerlund is standing next to him.
Mene Gene: Ladies and gentlemen, please stand for your WWF King of the Ring, Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
People stand and cheer as Bret makes his way out. Some are bowing to him. He gets on the stage and sits down on the throne. The servant hands him the scepter and places the crown on his head.
Mene Gene: Would you like to say anything to your subjects my king?
Bret Hart: Just that I will soon be your WWF World Heavyweight Champion and when I am I will be a fighting champion. A champion that people can be proud of.
Mene Gene: Long live the king.
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil vs Bob Backlund for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
The fans were behind Bob, and he awarded them with a great performance. He had Ted in trouble from the opening bell. Bob got Ted in a Boston Crab and it looked like he would get the win. However, right before Ted tapped Virgil pushed the bottom rope toward Ted so he could grab it and get the break. Bob was frustrated but went back on offense. He used his Atomic Drop finisher and covered for a solid two. Bob did not appreciate the speed of the referee's count. He then tried to beat the champ with the Crossface Chicken Wing. Vincent knew his meal ticket was in trouble, so he got on the apron to distract the referee. Bob ended up releasing the hold, went to the ropes and hit Virgil with a right hook sending him sprawling onto the floor.
Bob spent too much time yelling down at Virgil which allowed Ted time to recover some. Bob stayed on offense for a bit before Ted could start fighting back. Ted got rolling. He used figure-four leglock and Million Dollar Sleeper to try and beat Bob but Backlund was not going down easy. Then for a few minutes momentum went from one man to the other. Sadly, this great match did not get a winner as they reached the 15-minute time limit. The timekeeper rang the bell, and the match was a draw.
Winner: none, time limit draw, Ted DiBiase retains (4 stars)
Nation Of Domination are in their locker room. Mr. Hughes tells Malcolm that nWa could be a problem for them. Especially now that they got a power boost with Andre the Giant joining them. He tells Malcolm to go out and find some power for the Nation. Malcolm says he is on it.
WCW Nitro
Tony Schiavone: Hello and welcome to Nitro. We have a hot night of wrestling on tap for you. That includes the first two matches in the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Let's not waste a minute and go to the ring for our opening bout.
First out was Eli Everfly. Tony points out he recently beat Juventud Guerrera, so he is a threat regardless of his small, even by cruiserweight standards, size. Next out was a new wrestler to WCW. Mexican wrestler Pirata Morgan. Tony says Morgan looks intimidating, but he better not look past Eli.
Pirata Morgan vs Eli Everfly in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
Eli was flying around the ring in the early moments keeping Morgan off balance. Then Morgan started to wear down Eli. Things were looking bad for Eli so when he was on the mat and Morgan went to do more damage Eli used Green Mist on Morgan. That allowed Eli to get going and the match got more intense. He hit his finisher, Destroy All Humans, twice with a Helter Skelter in between and all three led to Morgan kicking out.
The men fought in and out of the ring. Morgan used Saka Otoshi, sentons, DDTs and power bombs to try and put Eli away with no success. Eli would fight back for a bit. Then Morgan would retake control. Eli tried to win with a Spanish Fly but again Morgon kicked out. The fans were going wild with each pin attempt. This match set a high bar for the Tournament. Finally, Morgan hit yet another DDT and this time Eli had nothing left to kick out.
Winner: Pirata Morgan by pinfall to advance in the Tournament (4 stars)
Road Warriors are with Paul Ellering in the interview area.
Paul Ellering: I am not sure where the Power of Pain came from or why they decided to attack my Warriors. I just know it was a huge mistake and we will send them back to whatever rock they crawled out of. What do you have to say Animal?
Animal: I was getting tired of beating up pencil necked geeks. I am actually happy someone with some size and muscle has stepped up to face us. Just a pity we will have to break them like a cheap toy. How about it Hawk?
Hawk: Weeeeeell, these boys have bitten off a bit more than they can chew. We are the Road Warriors. We are the baddest SOBs on the block. And we are gonna take their heads off. What a rush!!!
The Road Warriors flex as Paul looks on like a proud manager.
It is time for our second Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match. Both men are new to WCW. First out is the Laredo Kid. Second out is a man known for his high-flying ability, "The Darewolf" PJ Black.
"The Darewolf" PJ Black vs Laredo Kid in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Match
While this was a really good match it was not quite as good as the previous match. Things were pretty even for a couple minutes than PJ started to WHAT his will. He went to the top turnbuckle and came off with a flying clothesline that almost earned him the win. Not long after he went to the top again and this time, he hit his 450 Splash finisher.
Winner: "The Darewolf" PJ Black via pinfall to advance in the Tournament (3 stars)
Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Ric Flair are in their locker room.
Ric Flair: Boys. I hope you realize what this (Holds up the Four Horsemen hand sign) mean. It is a sign of the best of the best. Pure excellence. Bryan was the World Champion and will be it again. Moose is a force of nature and holds the United States Championship. Meanwhile you two have been struggling. The only win you have had recently was thanks to a DQ. That ain't cutting it fellas. To be a Horsemen is to be the best. The BEST. You need to start showing you belong. I have a match for you two tonight against those Chippendale wannabes, The Fantastics. Go out there and show me what you are made of. Show me you not only want to be in the Horsemen, but you deserve to be in our group. Got it?
Both men nod at Ric.
Ric Flair: Good. Wow me boys. Wow me like your careers are riding on it.
Horsemen w/Ric Flair vs The Fantastics
The Fantastics were on their A game as they cut the ring in half keeping Kazarian on their side of it. They used double teaming moves and frequent tags. Bobby Fulton went for the win with Fantastic Cradle but Kazarian kicked out. Bobby tried it twice but another kick out. He tagged Tommy Rogers, and they performed Fantastic Flip. Tommy pinned Kazarian and got an impressive win.
Winner: The Fantastics by pinfall (1 star)
Ric Flair did not even wait for his men as he left in a huff.
A video for the Halloween Havoc PPV. It mentions the Cruiserweight Championship and how the semifinals and finals will be on the PPV. Also, the Road Warriors will be in action against the Powers of Pain. Former WCW World Champion Bryan Danielson will finally get his hands on the unknown luchador.
A promo video showing a bedroom lit by numerous candles. Silk sheets on the bed. Romantic smooth jazz playing. Then the words "The Midnight Lover is coming to WCW" appear.
Big Van Vader vs Davey Richards
Davey tried to put up a fight, even getting in a bit of offense, but Big Van Vader was like a man on a mission. If not for Davey's toughness this match would have been over early. Davey survived a Vader Bomb, Moonsault and a Released Power Bomb. It was a second Vader Bomb that finally did him in.
Winner: Big Van Vader via pinfall (2 stars)
As Vader was having his arm raised WCW World Champion Claudio Castagnoli came out to the stage.
Claudio Castagnoli: I have been hearing you complaining about not getting a title shot. You must have forgot about losing to Moose in a US title shot but fine, whatever. I need an opponent for Halloween Havoc. Beating a big guy like you will be a nice line on my wrestling resume. Plus, when I beat you hopefully that puts an end to your crying. See you at the PPV pal.
The crowd loves that idea as Big Van Vader just glares at the champ.
ECW Chaos
Tod Gordon is sitting behind his desk in his office and standing on the opposite side is Bill Alfonso.
Bill Alfonso: Now Mr. Gordon, I did my job last week. I called it right down the middle. (He makes the hand gesture to show what he means) It is not my fault the Shane attacked The Sandman as I was looking for foreign objects. That is on Shane. So please, PLEASE can I have my job back?
Tod Gordon: (rubs his temples as he sighs) I am still not sure if you were in working with Shane to get him the title but as I have one referee in the hospital and another refusing to work right now, I am in a bind. Yes, yes you can have your job back. For now. But if I see any kind of cheating on your part you will be out of here faster than you can say "down the middle". Do I make myself clear?
Bill Alfonso: Crystal Mr. Gordon. You will not regret this.
He shakes Tod Gordon's hand and then leaves the office.
Tod Gordon: I already regret it.
RVD vs Mikey Whipwreck
Fans were happy to see RVD back. He almost made quick work of Mikey. He hit a Rolling Thunder followed by a split legged moonsault and covered with Mikey kicking out at the very last moment. Mikey rode out the intial onslaught and was able to start getting in his own offense. A Frankenmikey led to a pin attempt. RVD got his second win and won an exchange on the floor. A couple minutes later he laid Mikey over the guardrail, went to the apron of the ring and hit a leg drop across guardrail. RVD rolled him into the ring and pinned him.
Winner: RVD by pinfall (3 stars)
Steve Corino is walking in back when Al Snow, holding his mannequin head, walks up to him.
Al Snow: Have Steven, just the man we have been looking for.
Steve Corino: It is Steve. What do you want, you nut case?
Al Snow: Well Steven, we were talking about how you can't seem to beat Vampiro and...
At that Steve grabs Al by his shirt and pulls him face to face. He speaks thru gritted teeth.
Steve Corino: I told you; it is STEVE and so what if Vampiro has gotten lucky. You have not had any luck with him recently either.
Al Snow: Whoa, whoa. I know Steven...er Steve. That is why we wanted to talk to you. We, well Head has a plan and I think it is marvelous.
Slowly Steve moves Al back, releases his hold and smooths out Al's shirt.
Steve Corino: You, or rather your mannequin head has an idea huh. Yea, ok. Makes sense.
Al Snow: Just hear us out. Neither of us has had success against Vampiro but what if we team up together. You and me vs Vampiro?
Steve Corino: Hmm. Maybe. But he would want to make it a tag match not a handicap match, I am sure.
Al Snow: (Gets a huge cheesy grin on his face) We already figured that out and Head has that covered too. Let's go find him and make the challenge.
The two walk off. Al with pep in his step, Steve more reluctantly following.
Tommy Dreamer vs One Man Gang w/Sir Oliver Humperdink
RVD got a lot of attention for his return after a period away from ECW but not much to Tommy. To top it off his return was met with a match against the beast OMG. Tommy did not back down from Gang. He hit his Death Valley Driver finisher but Gang kicked out at two. Later Tommy went for his finisher again. Sir Oliver got on the apron to try and distract the referee and help his man. Tommy came over and twisted himself causing Gang's feet to hit Sir Oliver, knocking him off the apron. The second Death Valley Driver earned Tommy the win.
Winner: Tommy Dreamer via pinfall (2 stars)
A word from Tod Gordon as he sits in his office.
Tod Gordon: We here at ECW are constantly looking to sign and bring in the top talent in the world of wrestling for you fans. We recently have been in talks with one such man. An exciting, risk-taking wrestler from Mexico. He liked the contract we offered but wanted one more thing. He wanted a title shot at the ECW TV Champion, Chris Sabin, in his debut match. We have granted him that opportunity. On the next Chaos, in our main event, Chris Sabin will defend his TV title against the newest member of the ECW roster. (Pause for effect) Super Crazy.
Stevie Richards & Rhino vs Justin Credible and Necro Butcher
Seeing Credible and Butcher in a tag team was an unusual sight. It seemed each man wanted to start the match but Butcher finally gave in and allowed Credible to start. For his effort Justin soon was on the receiving end of a Stevie Kick. Justin was barely able to kick out in time. Stevie tagged Rhino in and pointed toward Justin and told Rhino to finish him. A spinning spinebuster and tossing of Credible out of the ring seemed he was on the way to doing that. But when Rhino went to the floor the men brawled and thanks to a low blow Justin had the advantage. He then tagged Butcher in.
Butcher was all over Rhino. When he performed Choose Death it looked like it was all over for Rhino. However, Rhino was able to kick out. From there the teams battled with a few tags on each side. Stevie Richards was back in the ring with Justin Credible and he hit a vertical suplex. He covered Justin while Rhino ducked on the floor and held Jusin's legs to make it harder to kick out.
Winner: Stevie Richards & Rhino by pinfall (2 stars)
Necro Butcher was not happy about losing but instead of attacking Stevie and Rhino who cheated to earn the win, he attacked Justin Credible. So much for their short-lived partnership. The referee tries to stop Necro for a moment then thinks better of it and exits the ring. He must have been thinking of the damage the Army of Darkness did on the last Chaos. Necro Butcher used a chair, and his teeth, to bust open Justin's forehead. By the time Necro finally decides to leave, Jusin's face is a crimson mess.
Just as the show is about over Steve Corino and Al Snow find Vampiro in a poorly lit area in the back of the arena. He is standing up against a wall and seems to be in a trance. Both men look at him then each other. Steve pushes Al toward Vampiro.
Steve Corino: It was your idea.
Al Snow: (Looks at Steve then reluctantly moves closer to Vampiro) Sir. Steven and I wish to challenge you to a match.
Vampiro: (Slowly his eye lids move up) Hmm. Well, I am not facing you both at the same time by myself. I am not the crazy one here am I Al. I will have to find a tag partner.
Al Snow: (A smile appears on his face) We have already thought of that and taken care of it. (He holds Head toward Vampiro) Head has graciously offered to be your partner.
Then both Steve and Vampiro give Al a "are you out of your mind look".
Steve Corino: This. This was your plan. Oh, and once again, it is STEVE not Steven.
Vampiro: While I appreciate the offer I must decline. I mean, let's be honest here. Your mannequin head would not work with me leaving me look like the dummy. I have someone in mind to tag with. Once I can get him here, we will face you two in the ring.
He then walks off, pushing his way past Al and Steve. Al gives Steve a smile and a thumbs up while Steve puts his face in his hand and sighs.
PWI News and Notes:
Bill Apter went to the WWF, WCW and ECW and talked to someone from each promotion to get a feel for the pulse of what is going on. Here are those interviews.
A Word with Bill Apter:
WWF - Bill sat down with Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Shiek. They have been on a roll recently having beaten Sgt Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan in both tag matches and single affairs. Now it seems they want a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Champions, the British Bulldogs. As they are pleading their case WWF President Jack Tunney walks over. He says that PWI staff alerted him of the desire of Volkoff and Shiek. Jack says they will get a #1 Contenders match with the Midnight Rockers. If they beat the Rockers, they will get their title shot. The men seemed unhappy when they heard they had a match but were determined they would win and then beat the Bulldogs for the tag titles.
WCW - Bill sat down with Disco Inferno. Bill started off by mentioning the promos for a new wrestler coming to the WCW who is names as "The Midnight Lover". He says that someone with that handle on Twitter has been liking and reposting a lot of the tweets of Disco Inferno. Bill asks Disco if he is The Midnight Lover. Disco says no way. Disco says The Midnight Lover sounds like some cheesy lounge act. He asks Bill if that sounds like him. Bill gives a "well...." look but Disco blows past that. He says he does not want to talk about this "Midnight Lover" but instead about how he was disrespected by "Wildfire" Tommy Rich after their recent match. Disco says if anyone is the Midnight Lover it is Wildfire. What a silly name, Wildfire. He says he wants a rematch and just then Tommy Rich walks in the room. Tommy says if Disco wants a rematch, he has got it. Tommy tells Disco to bring a pillow this time so when he puts Disco to sleep, he can be comfortable. Disco gets up and makes a move toward Tommy but WCW officials and PWI staff get between the two men.
ECW - Bill sat down with The Prince of Darkness, Kevin Sullivan.
Bill Apter: Tell us Kevin, why did you come to ECW?
Kevin Sullivan: It is quite simple. ECW is a place of violence. Of mayhem. Of chaos. These are things I love and represent. However, I know I can bring even more of it. I want to wrap ECW in darkness and drag it down to the abyss.
Bill Apter: Is that why you formed your Army of Darkness?
Kevin Sullivan: Exactly Mr. Apter. We shall march over ECW like the dynasties of old. We shall spread like a plague and leave death and destruction in our path. You have seen what we have done so far and we are but in our infancy. Over time as our power grows so will the agony and suffering of those in ECW who choose, foolhardily I must add, to stand against us. Me and my Army of Darkness are inevitable as the tides or death itself.
Bill Apter: Do you have plans to add more members? If so, who?
Kevin Sullivan: (Stares at Bill then laughs. He stands and places a hand on Bill's shoulder) All in due time my friend. All in due time. Why, do you want to join my Army?
The lights in the room slowly dim as darkness engulfs the two men until there is only the pitch black of the dark.

September Week 4, Year 1
WWF Raw
Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome to Raw. We have a great card tonight including King of the Ring winner Bret Hart and new tag team The Outlaws in action plus a #1 contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship.
Bobby Heenan: Plus, the premier of The Bobby Heenan Talk Show.
Gorilla Monsoon: It is not The Bobby Heenan Talk Show. It is called Prime Time. Of course, we both know what it should have been called but that is for another time. For now, let's go to the ring for our opening match.
Bobby Heenan: What a way to treat the star. I wonder if Johnny Carson had to put up with things like this.
Bret Hart vs Wolfie D w/JC Ice
As the opening bell rang JC Ice got in the ring and got Bret's attention. That allowed Wolfie D to come behind Bret and rake his eyes. The plan got Wolfie D the early advantage but he could not hold it. Bret got going and it did not take long for him to finish Wolfie D off after a Russian Leg Sweep.
Winner: Bret Hart via pinfall (2 stars)
Mr. Fuji is talking on the phone. He tells the person he is talking to that he will meet them at the airport next week. He says that soon things will change in the WWF and people will have to respect the people of Japan.
The Outlaws vs Killer Bees
In the first few minutes Bob Orton Jr and Blackjack Mulligan were in control. Mulligan looked to get the win when he slapped his Clawhold on Jim Brunzell. But Jim was able to get out of it. Then the Bees used double team moves and frequent tags to work their way toward victory. They hit Bee Sting on Bob Orton Jr and Jim Brunzell pinned him.
Winner: Killer Bees by pinfall (3 stars)
The Outlaws were not happy about the loss, and it looked like they were about to attack the Killer Bees when the sound of bagpipes was heard. The Outlaws looked around for Rowdy Roddy Piper as the fans got excited. But there was no sight of Piper.
Inside the interview part of the studio Gorilla Monsoon is sitting behind a desk like a late-night talk show host with a couch to his right where Bobby Heenan is sitting.
Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome to our new interview segment named Prime Time. I wanted to name it The Monsoon and Weasel Show but someone nixed that idea. (He jerks his thumb toward Heenan) Anyways, our first guest is an Olympic hero for the US. He won a gold medal in wrestling all while having an injured neck. Please welcome Kurt Angle.
Monsoon and Heenan stand up and in walks Kurt Angle in a very nice suit with the Olympic gold medal hanging from his neck. He shakes both men's hands and everyone sits down. Angle closest to the desk with Heenan to his right.
Bobby Heenan: Wow, that is a nice-looking medal you have there.
Kurt Angle: Thank you. It is a symbol of all the hard work I put in and sacrifices I made.
Bobby Heenan: I would say so. You should have it bronzed.
Angle gives Heenan a strange look.
Gorilla Monsoon: Bronzed? Are you nuts Heenan. That is an Olympic gold medal. Gold. You do not bronze it. Sorry about that Mr. Angle. So, you won that in the 100-kilogram freestyle event, is that correct.
Kurt Angle: Yes, that is correct.
Bobby Heenan: Freestyle? What did you do? Front crawl, breaststroke or backstroke?
Gorilla Monsoon: That is swimming. Mr. Angle is a wrestler. Will you cut it out Brain. Again, my apologies. Now you won the medal with an injured neck, an injury you received while in the Olympic trials. Is that correct?
Kurt Angle: Yes, it is. My hardships started when my coach, the great Dave Schultz, was murdered, and then I injured my neck. I fractured two of my cervical vertebrae, herniating two discs and even pulled four muscles.
Bobby Heenan: Schultz? I love the Peanuts.
Gorilla Monsoon: That is Charles Schulz not Dave Schultz.
Bobby Heenan: Well, I know about dealing with neck injuries. I have quite a few in my managing career.
Gorilla Monsoon: Those were all in your head not your neck.
Angle had been getting frustrated over the last bit and finally he had enough. He stood up, took off his microphone pack and stormed out of the interview area.
Gorilla Monsoon: Wait Mr. Angle. I am so sorry for this. Good going Heenan, you really did it this time.
Bobby Heenan: What did I do? You are the one who kept having to apologize. Man, you sure are a sorry guy.
Gorilla Monsoon: You embarrassed us and the WWF in front of an Olympic gold winner. He may sue to keep from his appearance ever being seen again.
Bobby Heenan: Well, I will just call my lawyers Dewey, Cheatem and let them handle it.
Gorilla Monsoon: And Howe.
Bobby Heenan: You said it, Spanky.
With the Gorilla Monsoon just tosses his hands in the air sending the index cards he was holding flying all around.
Killer Kowalski vs Adrian Adonis
This King of the Ring tournament rematch was asked for by Adonis. He felt Killer got lucky at the PPV and he could do better against Killer. Based on this match he might be right. Adonis controlled most of the action and used Goodnight Irene to put Killer away.
Winner: Adrain Adonis via submission/sleeper (1 star)
In the interview area "Macho Man" Randy Savage, his left shoulder heavily taped, looks like he is out of his mind. Randy Savage: I am tired of the nWa. I am tired of being attacked by men I thought were my friends. Andre, I am especially tired of you. You may be over 7 foot tall high and the 8th Wonder of the World but I am the Macho Man. I want a match with you. I will chop you down to size, oh yea. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. I am going to make you pay for turning on me and the WWF. Next week, the end of the nWa begins, yea.
Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik vs Midnight Express in a #1 Contender match
Volkoff and Sheik had a power advantage and they used that to shine in this match. Iron Sheik used his Camel Clutch finisher a pair of times on Marty Jannetty, but Marty would not give up. Volkoff came in and got a pin after a throat drop on ropes.
Winner: Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik by pinfall (1 star)
With the win they have earned a WWF Tag Team Championship title match against the British Bulldogs.
WCW Nitro
A cab pulls up in the back. A man in brightly colored clothes and sunglasses gets out of the back. He is holding a duffle bag and a title belt of some kind on his shoulder. He puts the bag down and goes to the driver's side window.
Cabbie: That will be $19.34 sir.
Man: Here is a $20. Keep the change.
Cabbie: Oh wow. Thank you. Maybe I can get some chewing gum.
The cab pulls away in a rush. The man looks around and sees a couple guys breaking down carboard boxes and tossing them into a dumpster.
Man: You there. Tell whoever is in charge around here that Zicky Dice has arrived. That The Midnight Lover has come to WCW.
He starts to walk off then stops and motions to his bag.
Zicky Dice: Oh, and do not forget my bag either.
He walks off and the two workers look at each other.
Worker 1: Que?
The other worker shrugs his shoulders. He then goes over, picks up the duffle bag and tosses it into the dumpster.
Tony Schiavone: Welcome to another exciting Nitro. Recently Jushin Liger, one of if not the best cruiserweights in the world lost to a fairly new man to wrestling, RJ City. Well, they have a rematch tonight in our main event but this time it is in the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Will Liger get revenge or can RJ City pull off a second upset and move on in the tournament? We also have a rematch between "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and Disco Inferno. But before that our opening match is another Cruiserweight tournament match. Let's go to the ring for the introductions.
Juventud Guerrera vs Larry Sweeney in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
This should have been a warmup match for Juvi to get him going for a deep run in the tournament. Should have been. As it was, he did look good as he dominated Sweeney for most of the match. Juvi made several pin attempts. The match went to the floor and after a brawl Sweeney came out on top and tossed Juvi back into the ring. Sweeney started to use his elbow, Tony speculated if his elbow pad was loaded, and after a second 12 Large Elbow Drop finisher Larry Sweeney pulled off the upset to move on.
Winner: Larry Sweeney by pinfall to advance (3 stars)
Sweeney was jumping up and down and pumping his fist. Meanwhile Juventud was trying to figure out what just happened. He was a favorite in the tournament, but he is now out of it.
A promo for the Halloween Havoc PPV
Tracy Smothers vs Manny Fernandez
A couple men not seen in WCW in a while returned to face each other. Both men had their moments early on. They each hit their finisher but could not get the pin. Manny got rolling and looked like he would get the win after a second Flying Burrito, but Tracy kicked out. Manny tossed Tracy to the floor and went out after him. He did not hold back as he beat on Tracy. The referee threatened to disqualify him, but Manny pulled back at last moment and tossed Tracy into the ring. A minute later Manny tossed Tracy out again. This time, however, when he went out Tracy caught him and was able to stun Manny. Back in the ring a second Jawjacker led to the pin.
Winner: Tracy Smothers via pinfall (3 stars)
"The Midnight Lover" Zicky Dice is walking in back and gets an excited look on his face when he sees something. The camera pans to show it is the Disco Inferno. He walks up, takes Disco's hand and shakes it with enthusiasm.
Zicky Dice: I am SO pleased to meet you Mr. Disco Inferno sir. Big fan. I am Zicky Dice. The Midnight Lover. I am sure you have heard of me.
Disco Inferno: (Looking like he is not sure what to make of all of this) Um. Yea, the name sounds familiar. Aren't you the one who has been liking and reposting my Tweets?
Zicky Dice: The one and the same.
Disco Inferno: Ah. Ok then. Well thanks. Nice belt you have there. What title is that?
Zicky Dice: Well, that sir is from the Western States Wrestling promotion. It is the WSW Northwest United States Heavyweight Championship, the North Dakota version. I am said champ, but I have come to WCW to win more prestigious titles.
Disco Inferno: I should say so. I have won more valuable things in a Cracker Jack box. Still, a title is a title, I guess. Well, good luck to you. I have a match I was on my way to.
Zicky Dice: Hey, I have an idea. How's about I be in your corner. I can watch your back and all that.
Disco Inferno: Um, yea, I guess. Just don't get in my way otherwise you will have my wraith to deal with.
Zicky Dice: No worries, sir. I would not want to cost you a match. Plus, I most certainty do not want to get on your bad side. Let's go. You lead the way.
Disco Inferno walks off with Zicky following him like a happy puppy.
"Wildfire" Tommy Rich vs Disco Inferno w/Zicky Dice
Disco could not get anything going as Tommy Rich was on top of his game. Tommy tried to win with both of his finishers but no go. When he applied Wildfire Sleeper a second time Disco tried to back into the ropes for a break. He was just a bit short so Zicky Dice, out of sight of the referee, grabbed Rick's wrestling shorts and yanked him back into the ropes. Disco got the break but it did him no good. Tommy Rich kept rolling and finally put Inferno away with his Sleeper finisher.
Winner: "Wildfire" Tommy Rich by submission/sleeper (2 stars)
Inside the Four Horsemen locker room are the Horsemen and Ric Flair. Then in walk the Midnight Express with James E. Cornette.
Moose: Hey, what are you three doing here.
Ric Flair: Relax big fella. I invited them here. Meet the newest member of the Horsemen, the Midnight Express.
Christopher Daniels: I guess that makes us the SIX Horsemen now.
Ric Flair: Yea, about that. See, we are still the FOUR Horsemen. James E. Cornette is their manager/advisor with me in charge. With them joining we have to make two openings. (He looks over at Daniels and Kazarian) I like you boys but you are just not Horsemen material. In the old days that would mean a beatdown exit interview. But since I like you, I will give you two the choice. You can go down swinging and leave with cuts and bruises, maybe a broken bone even. Or, you can just walk away and leave WCW. What you cannot do is walk away and then get in our way. Then we will really have to put a hurt on you.
The new Four Horsemen look over at Daniels and Kazarian who are looking back at them. Daniels taps Kazarian on the chest and motions behind them. The two men slowly back up and once they are at the door they turn and leave.
Ric Flair: Now THIS is a Four Horsemen I can be proud of. Wooooooo!
He holds up the Four Horsemen hand sign and Bryan, Moose and the Midnight Express do the same. James E. Cornette looks on happy as can be. Tony points out James is finally sitting at the cool kid's table.
Jushin Liger vs RJ City in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
As the match began RJ City was running his mouth and every time Jushin tried to lock up with him RJ rolled out to the floor. He kept playing mind games but it did not help. Once Jushin was able to get his hands on RJ he went to work determined to not to lose to RJ for a second time and more so become a 2nd upset loser tonight. Jushin ended up hitting three of his finishers but RJ City kept kicking out. Jushin never let RJ get anything going and a second Liger Bomb finally helped Jushin get the W.
Winner: Jushin Liger via pinfall to advance (1 star)
Before Nitro ends a limo pulls up in back. The chauffeur gets out and opens the back door. Out comes the "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko. He walks into the arena and down a hall. He runs into Tony Schiavone.
Tony Schiavone: Well as I live and breathe. How are you, Larry?
The two men shake hands.
Tony Schiavone: What brings you here?
Larry Zbyszko: Didn't anyone tell you. I'm your new cohost.
This news seems to catch Tony off guard. He looks surprised as the show ends.
ECW Chaos
Abdullah The Butcher w/Sir Oliver Humperdink vs Tommy Dreamer
This match was a slaughter. Abdullah overpowers Tommy and uses vicious offense to do damage including fishhooks, eye racks and even a groin stomp. After only a couple minutes he uses Sudanese Meat Cleaver to bring the match to an end.
Winner: Abdullah The Butcher by pinfall (1 star)
The Briscoe Brothers are walking on their family farm in Delaware. Jay does the talking as Mark just nods his head in agreement. Jay says they should have become ECW World Tag Team Champions by now. The problem is while they are a rough and tough tag team they have been holding back too much. This is E C f'n W and they need to unleash their dark side and start hurting people. That is they only way they will get what they want, the tag team titles. Both men glare into the camera as the segment ends.
Steve Corino and Al Snow come out first for our next match. They are in the ring when Vampiro walks out, in the unique style of his, to the stage. Then he is joined by a masked luchador that is introduced as Los Stryker. It seems they have taken a tag team name. Their team's name is Lucha Underground.
Lucha Underground vs Steve Corino and Al Snow
Stryker and Al Snow began the match that went over ten minutes. There were frequent tags, action out on the floor and momentum swings. What we did not see were any finishers. Only a pair of pin attempts that did get past a one count. The conclusion came when Vampiro used Head to smash the head of Steve Corino before hitting a Nail In The Coffin and pinned Steve.
Winner: Lucha Underground via pinfall (3 stars)
It is time for the main event and in an unusual situation the champion, Chris Sabin, came out first. Then it was time for the challenger, Super Crazy. His high-octane entrance music started and fans were hyped. He came out to the stage with a water bottle, poured some water on his head and then began to headbang, water flying off of his hair. Then he ran down to the ring. Sabin rolled out and Super Crazy ran the ropes. He stopped and motioned for the fans to get louder. The referee called Sabin back into the ring and called for the bell.
Chris Sabin vs Super Crazy for the ECW TV Championship
Super Crazy charged Chris Sabin trying to beat the champ early on. It seems Sabin was not prepared as he struggled to fight back. Super Crazy hit a Moonsault but Sabin kicked out. Not long after Super Crazy pulled out his best move, a Triple Moonsault, to end Sabin's title reign.
Winner: Super Crazy by pinfall to win the title
The fans cheered loudly as Super Crazy won the ECW TV title. He rolled out of the ring, grabbed the belt and leaned back against the railing as fans gathered around him.
PWI News and Notes:
There are two new title changes to mention.
Gixx won the NWA-Wildside Heavyweight Championship
Jimmy Jacobs and Kevin Steen won the ROH Tag Team Championship
In other news, Davey Richards and Rocky Romero have left WCW. Thus, putting an end to the No Remorse Corps. There is no word on Roderick Strong's plans going forward.

October Week 1, Year 1
WWF Raw
Gorilla Monsoon: Hello everyone and welcome to Raw. We have a top-notch main event in line for you tonight. Randy Savage got his wish and he will be facing Andre the Giant.
Bobby Heenan: Proof positive you have to be careful what you wish for. You might just get it.
Gorilla Monsoon: Like you wishing for a date with the Rosatti Sisters?
Bobby Heenan: (appears speechless for a bit) Why...I mean...how could you...I NEVER wished for that. You must have been dreaming. Let's go to the ring for our first match.
Bob Backlund vs Virgil w/Ted DiBiase
Recently Backlund wrestled DiBiase to a time limit draw. He felt Virgil cost him the IC title, so he asked for this match with DiBiase's assistant. Virgil started well but Backlund has too much experience and soon he has Virgil in trouble. Virgil almost tapped to the Boston Crab, but Ted pushes the rope toward Virgil who is able to grab it. Bob kept rolling and used Atomic Drop to put Virgil away.
Winner: Bob Backlund by pinfall (2 stars)
Right after the match ended Ted DiBiasie slid into the ring and attacked Bob from behind as he had just started to celebrate his win. Once Virgil recovered, he joined his boss in beating Backlund down until WWF officials run down to chase them off.
Mr. Fuji is at the airport at the luggage pickup. There is some excitement coming his way. A bunch of people are surrounded a tall Japanese man in a perfectly fitted suit. It is wrestling legend Antonio Inoki. He signs a few autographs, stops for a few pics and then finally makes it to Mr. Fuji.
Mr. Fuji: Welcome Inoki-san. Are you ready to dominate the WWF?
Dream Team w/Jimmy Hart vs The Bushwackers
The Dream Team had been taking some time off as Greg Valentine was dealing with an elbow issue. He is healthy and Jimmy Hart has his boys back in action. Brutus Beefcake and Butch Miller start and they go back-and-forth. It is Butch who first started to string offense together. A tag to Luke and it looked like The Bushwackers would get the W. But Beefcake was able to tag out. A couple minutes of hot tag team action with tags and double teaming.
Valentine used his finisher on Butch and then Beefcake did. Just when Dream Team had things going their way Butch tagged out and Luke started to put the hurt on Beefcake. Jimmy Hart got on the apron and got the attention of the referee and Luke. Beefcake grabbed Hart's megaphone off the apron on the other side of the ring. He smashes Luke's head with it, but the referee had turned around right at the time he did. The referee called for the bell.
Winner: The Bushwackers via disqualification (3 stars)
Two wrestlers not seen in the WWF before are seen walking in back. A graphic introduces them as Bill Mulkey and Randy Mulkey, The Mulkeys.
Bill: I had the weirdest dream last night.
Randy: Oh yea, what about?
Bill: We were wrestling in this crazy, pure 80's style wrestling promotion called Radically Cool Wrestling. It had all these weird, colorful wrestlers.
Randy: That is nuts. How did we do?
Bill: I did all right, but you really struggled.
Randy: (chuckles) Now I KNOW it was a dream.
They walk off and another graphic claims they will make their Raw in ring debut next week.
Don "The Rock" Muraco vs Keith Steinborn
This should have been an easy win for The Rock, but Steinborn turned out to be one tough customer. Muraco started strong and tossed Keith into the ropes. After dropping him with an elbow Don tossed him again but this time Keith took Don down. For a few minutes Keith would get in a little offense, Don would get in more and Keith would get in some again. Don started to wear Keith down then he finished the match with Hawaiian Hammer.
Winner: Don Muraco by pinfall (2 stars)
Gorilla Monsoon: We just got word that in next week's Raw, WWF World Champion Mr. Hughes will be defending his title against WWF King of the Ring winner, Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
Bobby Heenan: That is going to be a great match. I need to go get my tickets for Raw before they are sold out.
Gorilla Monsoon: What are you yapping on about Brain. You will be here with me calling the action from that match. You get to see it for free. Not like you would actually pay for a ticket knowing you.
Bobby Heenan: Are you calling me cheap?
Gorilla Monsoon: When you go to a restaurant you ask for a hot water and use a tea bag you brought from home.
Bobby Heenan: I just do not want to bother the waitress with looking for a tea bag for me. That is called being thoughtful.
Gorilla Monsoon: Give me a break Heenan. We are going to be joined by Jim Ross for our last match tonight. Let's go to the ring for tonight's incredible main event as Randy Savage gets his match against Andre the Giant.
Bobby Heenan: Someone call the local hospital and make sure they have a bed open for old crazy eyes Randy. He is gonna need it after Andre flattens him.
Andre the Giant vs Randy "Macho Man" Savage
As Randy makes his way down, he is all business. Gorilla welcomes Jim Ross who says he is happy to join Gorilla and Bobby for the main event. After Bobby says Ross is just happy to be let out of the old folk's home, Ross says, "Correction, I am happy to join you Gorilla. I will tolerate the weasel" After Andre comes down and enters the ring Bobby Cruise begins to do the introductions and as Savage stands in the middle of the ring for his he is attacked by Andre from behind.
With the advantage Andre is dominating the Macho Man. He looks to end the match fast when he goes for his Big Splash finisher but Randy moves and Andre crashes and burns. That allowed Randy to get in some offense but it does not last long. A turnbuckle squash from Andre let to a cover and Randy was able get a shoulder up at one. A bit later a sitdown splash did more damage. Andre tossed Randy into the ropes and Randy bounced off and hit a low dropkick to Andre's legs. That allowed Randy to go back on the attack. He looks to do the most damage so he goes to the top rope and flies off with a Flying Elbow Drop. Andre threw Randy off of him at one. Randy went and hit his finisher a second time.
Jim Ross: We knew this would be a slobberknocker and it is living up to the hype.
Randy hit Andre with a pair of axe handles. Then he bounced off the ropes trying to hit a third but got a face full of Andre's boot. Andre rained blows down on Randy before hitting his Big Splash and making the pin.
Winner: Andre the Giant via pinfall (3 stars)
The rest of the nWa come down which brings boos from the fans. The have smug smiles on their faces. Buddy Rogers points toward Randy and makes a brooming motion toward the ropes. The Invaders used their hands to roll Randy over to the ropes and then their feet to shove him out to the floor. The four men stand tall in the ring. Just before the show ends the shot changes to Mr. Huges in back talking on his cell phone.
Mr. Huges: You find someone yet? Good. I want to see them next week.
WCW Nitro
Disco Inferno is in his dressing room when Zicky Dice walks in.
Zicky Dice: Hey pal, how come you have not returned my phone calls? Where have you been?
Disco Inferno: Where have I been? More like where were you last week. I needed your help but did not get it and I lost to Tommy Rich. Again.
Zicky Dice: I am sorry about that buddy. I was worried I would cost you the match if I got involved. I now see I should have risked it. I will do better in the future.
Disco Inferno: (Stands up and walks off) I am not sure if there will be a next time.
As he leaves the room Zicky yells out after him.
Zicky Dice: Hey, do you know where I can find the Nitro valet? I left my bag with him last week and he has not dropped it off yet.
He takes off after Disco.
Tony Schiavone: Welcome to Nitro. I am joined by my new co-host and color commentator, the Living Legend, Larry Zbyszko.
Larry Zbyszko: Greetings and salutations to you Schiavone and all of our viewers at home. It is a pleasure to be here working for the best wrestling company on the planet.
Tony Schiavone: We are just weeks away from the Halloween Havoc PPV. It should be a scary good time. On the PPV we will crown the first ever WCW Cruiserweight Champion. Our opening bout is between two men fighting to be that first champion. One is no stranger to WCW fans, the exciting and death-defying Ricochet. His opponent comes to us from the AAA promotion in Mexico, Flamita. Let's go to the ring for that match.
Ricochet vs Flamita in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
A short match that saw Ricochet dominate. Flamita got in next to no offense but did show toughness as it took three of Ricochet's Chocolate Rain to finally put him away.
Winner: Ricochet via pinfall to advance (1 star)
A promo for the Halloween Havoc PPV
Zicky Dice w/Disco Inferno vs Yellow Mask
Yellow Mask has tagged with Disco in the past, so he looks confused on why Disco was in Zicky's corner. When he tried to find out with a hand motion it was Disco that looked confused on what he was doing there. Before the match begins Zicky tells the ring announcer something and he relays that this is not a title match. Zbyszko points out that Zicky must not realize his belt is not recognized by WCW so of course his title is not on the line. This situation with Disco seemed to fire up Yellow Mask as he gave Zicky a tough match for a bit. But Zicky was too much for him and his finisher, Zickity Do Dah, ended Yellow Mask's hopes for a victory.
Winner: Zicky Dice by pinfall (2 stars)
As Zicky and Disco are making their way to the back they are stopped on the stage by Gordon Solie.
Gordon Solie: Gentlemen if I may. What is the nature of your relationship?
Disco Inferno: That is a good question. I would like...
Zicky Dice: (Cutting him off) I promise you Gordon it is strictly platonic. Even if I am The Midnight Lover.
Gordon Solie: That is not what I meant. I was asking...
This time Gordon is cut off by "Wildfire" Tommy Rich charging in and attacking Zicky Dice. He mounts Zicky and is hammering fists down on him when Disco kicks him on the side of his head. That really stuns Tommy and then Disco and Zicky jump on him like a pack of wild dogs. The two men perform a spike piledriver onto the stage which causes a split on Tommy's head. Blood starts to tickle out as officials come out and put an end to the beatdown.
Disco Inferno: What the hell man? Why did he come out and attack you?
Zicky Dice: I don't know. Do you think it has something to do with my Tweet about how his breath smelled like cow patties?
Disco Inferno: WHAT? (He pauses as he stares at Zicky before breaking out in a hearty laugh)
Both men walk off with smiles as the medical staff come out and check on Tommy and we go to commercial.
Tony Schaivone: We have been told that Tommy needed stiches and is going into concussion protocol so he will likely be out a week or two. Now, our next match is another match in the Cruiserweight Tournament. It features a pair or new faces, Brian Kendrick and DJ Z.
Larry Zbyszko: That is THE Brain Kendrick Tony. I like this Kendrick kid. He is full of potential and a lot of ability. Not a fan of DJ Z. He has a lot of talent too, but he seems more interested in being a DJ and having a party then in wrestling. If he would focus, he could be really good.
The Brian Kendrick vs DJ Z in a Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
A decent match that saw both men get in their offense. The difference started when DJ Z used a moonsault to get a pin attempt. Then he used a couple more as the match went on to wear Kendrick down. It looked like the match was over when DJ Z hit his finisher, but Kendrick was able to kick out. He could not repeat the feat after Hostile Makeover.
Winner: DJ Z via pinfall to advance (2 stars)
Bob Armstrong is talking to his son Brad. He says he requested a rematch against the Midnight Express for the World Tag Team titles at Halloween Havoc and James E Cornette was happy to oblige. Bob says this time they will come out on top and be father/son tag team champs. Brad does not look as confident as his dad sounds.
The James Gang vs SST
Samoan Swat Team are in the ring when "reach for the sky" and gun shots are heard. The James Gang came out to a nice pop. This was a long, hard-hitting match. Momentum flowed from one team to the other. Early on Samu tossed B.G. James into the SST corner. As Alofa held B.G. Samu ran in and hit a big splash. The referee told Alofa not to do that again or risk DQ. Another toss into the SST corner and Alofa held his hands up as Suma ran in with a back elbow. Then B.G. started fighting back.
The first man to be in trouble was Samu. He survived a pair of pin attempts. Alofa got in and started to wear down B.G. James. Later The James Gang performed a spike piledriver on Alofa. After ten minutes neither team was ready to relent to the other. At this point the match was spending as much time on the floor as in the ring. All four men were looking spent.
Samu tossed B.G. out to the floor then he started to argue with the referee. That allowed Alofa to attack B.G. on the floor. He tossed him into the security barricade a pair of times. Kip James entered the ring and tried to bring the assault to the referee's attention. All he got was the referee's attention as he tried to get Kip back into this corner. Samu rolled out quickly and the SST did a double powerbomb on B.G. onto the hard steel ring stairs. Samu entered the ring and demanded the referee start his count. He did and B.G. could not make it in by ten as he only started to stir at eight.
Winner: SST by count out (4 stars)
Both teams had words as Nitro ended.
ECW Chaos
Detroit Demolition w/Sir Oliver Humperdink vs Mr. X
Mr. X is already in the ring when Sir Oliver comes out with a man in black leather wrestling gear that is adorned with silver studs. He is wearing a matching mask that is scary looking. Once he gets to the ring, he takes the mask off and his face is pained in red, silver and black paint. Mr. X tried to jump Detroit Demolition right at the bell but he was caught. From there it was mostly all Detroit Demolition. He finished Mr. X off with an elbow from the second rope.
Winner: Detroit Demolition via pinfall (1 star)
Alex Shelley is talking to Chris Sabin and saying he wants a crack at Super Crazy and the TV title Sabin tells him he can have it and wishes Alex luck.
RVD vs The Sandman
The first match for the former ECW World Champion since losing the belt to Shane Douglas. The referee for this match is Bill Alfonso and he gives animated instructions to both men before the match starts. He shows with his hands he is going to call this right down the middle. The Sandman had difficulties getting much going. Once RVD laid The Sandman over the railing, went to the apron, looked back at the former champ and did a twisting jump leg drop it was pretty much over. RVD rolled The Sandman back in the ring. Hit Rolling Thunder and then went to the top for a Five Star Frog Splash.
Winner: RVD by pinfall (2 stars)
ECW World Champion came out after the final bell, and he was not alone. He had a sexy lady in a tight dress on the arm not holding the title belt. It was XXWW wrestler, Francine. She is holding a microphone and hands it to Shane.
Shane Douglas: Tell me fellas, which looks better. My title belt or this beautiful lady. She is the official head cheerleader for the Franchise Shane Douglas. The sweet and sexy Francine. Sandman, I know you wanted another shot at this belt but that performance was pathetic. Back of the line for you pal. As for you Rob Van Dam. That was impressive. I will be keeping my eye on you.
He then turns to leave, following Francine. He is checking out her backside as he does. The Sandman looks at RVD and shrugs his shoulders. He gets handed a pair of beers from a ring crew member and offers one to RVD. In response RVD smiles, pulls a small, funny looking cigarette from his wrestling gear and shows it to The Sandman who laughs. RVD motions with his head toward the back and both men leave together.
All Night Express said since they beat Sir Oliver's Masked Madness, they now wanted a match against Abdulah The Butcher and One Man Gang. Sir Oliver laughed but accepted the match. He said the tag team name of these two men was The Plague. Joey Styles says the name seems fitting for them.
The Plague w/Sir Oliver Humperdink vs All Night Express
One Man Gang and Rhett Titus kick things off and it is obvious Rhett is fired up as he tears into the larger man. He has One Man Gang on his heels big time. A Thrust Buster leads to a cover and a solid two count. Rhett then tags Kenny King and they hit One Night Stand. As King makes the cover Sir Oliver sends Abdullah in to make the save. He drops an elbow on King. The referee, slightly reluctantly, orders Abdullah back to his team's corner.
King keeps the pressure on and then uses Coronation. Gang kicks out at 2 1/2. King cannot believe it. He smells blood in the water. He hits Coronation again. Sir Oliver tries to get on the apron to distract the referee to no avail. Gang is able to kick out at the very last millisecond. A frustrated King goes over and gives a hard tag to Rhett and they hit a second One Night Stand on One Man Gang. Again, Abullah comes in to break the pin attempt. Rhett sees him, stands up and slugs The Butcher a few times before tossing him out to the floor. Then Rhett grabs Gang, hits Muff Driver and makes the pin to get a bit of revenge.
Winner: All Night Express via pinfall (2 stars)
The winners are having their arms raised when suddenly the lights go out. There is pure darkness for several seconds. When the lights come back on One Man Gang is standing but leaning on Abdullah in the ring, both members of All Night Express are laid out and a man is white cloth pants and shirt is standing in the middle of the ring with is head facing down and his hands spread out. He slowly raises his head and Joey Styles suddenly realizes who he is. It is BJ Whitmer. A clapping is heard and Kevin Sullivan walks out to the stage. He continues to clap while admiring the carnage as the show comes to an end.
