Really like the tag team moniker being used by Ivan and Boris... Unfortunate they couldn't keep up with those pesky Fantastics.
And I'm always pleased with a win for the Fallen Angel... Great stuff!

April week 1, year 1
WWF Raw
The show starts and Captain Lou Albano is in the ring.
Lou: Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce my newest clients. They are straight from the orient. Super Machine. Big Machine. The Machines. Two large men wearing black and silver wrestling pants and black masks make their way down to the ring.
The Machines w/Lou Albano beat The Sheepherders by submission when Super Machine submitted Luke Williams with a Cobra Hold. (1 star)
A nice debut for the new team.
The next match for the Backlash PPV is announced. Bobo Brazil will challenge Ted DiBiase for the IC title. This joins New Age Outlaws vs The Hardyz for the World Tag Team Championship.
D'lo Brown beat Hillbilly Jim via pinfall after Lo Down. (3 stars)
A long brutal match. Each man had long stretches where they dominated. Brown hit his finisher and finally got the win.
As Brown is having his arm raised we hear multiple voices over the PA chant "We are the Nation...of Domination!" Then a funky bass beat plays as five men come out from the back and make their way to the ring. JR points out the nicely dressed man in the lead is Mr. Hughes who we saw recently. With him is the tag team PG-13, JC Ice and Wolfie D. The other two men are not known. All five get in the ring and one of the unknown men has a mic.
Malcom: Mr. Brown my name is Malcom and I am the spokesperson for this group, Nation of Domination. This is our leader Mr. Hughes. We are here to make sure men who deserve opportunities get them. Take your case Mr. Brown. When you were in the bingo halls of ECW you busted your ass. They finally gave you a shot at the TV title and you won it. So what happened? They made you defend it against the former champ just two days later. Two days. Unfortunately you lost. Did you get a rematch? No. Of course not. You come to WWF and here you are wasting your talent against a hillbilly. The people in charge are holding you back. People like you and us will not be invited to join their country clubs. Sure we can go there to clean their pool or cut their grass or wait on tables in their restaurant. If we want something we need to take it. Mr. Hughes and the rest of the Nation to think about that. We have an opening for you. Just let us know when you are ready to join.
With that the Nation returned to the back as D'lo Brown stood in the ring deep in thought.
Mr. Saito over Owen Hart w/Bret Hart by pinfall after Saito Suplex. (3 stars)
The men put on a great match. In the end Owen had another set back.
An announcement that next week Roddy Piper will debut a talk show on Raw called Piper's Pit.
Buddy Rogers beat Dan Spivey by submission with his Figure Four Grapevine. (1 star)
Buddy made his way down for the match smiling and slapping hands and fists with fans. The match lasted just over a minute as Buddy dominated. He put Dan in his finisher and Dan tapped quickly. Post match Buddy made title belt gestures around his waist. Was he sending a message to Randy Savage?
WCW Nitro
Heavenly Bodies over Rock-n-Roll Xpress by pinfall when Stan Lane pinned Matt following a Russian Leg Sweep. (3 stars)
Tom Prichard was in trouble early on as the brothers used tags and double teaming to weaken him. To his credit he refused to be pinned and kept kicking out. When he was able to tag his partner things started changing. The Xpress was frustrated as they let the W get away from them.
Bob Armstrong talking to his son Brad how he needs to pursue his single career. Brad would rather continue to tag with his dad but will give it a go for him.
Nigel McGuinness beat Brad Armstrong w/Bob Armstrong by submission with a Cobra Clutch. (3 stars)
Brad put up a good showing and had his chances. But Nigel was just better this night.
As Bob is consoling his son after the match disco music starts playing. Disco Inferno comes out to the stage and mocks Brad. He says Brad should go back to the trailer park and give up wrestling.
Mil Mascaras over Magnum TA in a #1 Contenders match for shot at World Championship by pinfall after a Flying Bodypress. (2 stars)
A good match with both men giving it their own to earn a title shot. Mil pulled out the victory. He will face Bryan Danielson at Spring Stampede.
MVC beat Midnight Express w/James Cornette in a World Tag Team Championship match by pinfall when Steve Williams pinned Dennis Condrey after an Oklahoma Stampede to win the titles. (2 stars)
When the champs made their way down the challengers came out of the ring to attack them. Gordy grabbed James and powerbombed him thus removing him from the actual match. When the action finally got in the ring and the match started MVC was rolling over the champs. Midnight Express finally started making a comeback but the damage had been done. MVC simply overpowered the champs and reclaimed their titles.
ECW Chaos
Super Smash Brothers beat The Pitbulls in a non title match by pinfall when Player Dos pinned Pitbull #1 after a double team Fatality. (1 star)
This was a major upset. The champs expected this to be an easy win. The Brothers had a plan however. As Pitbull #1 waited to start the match the Smash Brothers kept tagging each other in. Tag after tag after tag. Pitbull #1 stood there watching. He finally lost interest and turned to the ref and his partner to ask what to do. That is when Uno attacked. The Smash Brothers then went at a fast pace with double team moves and tags. They hit their finisher and got the win.
One Man Gang trying to get in the arena but security won't let him as he's not been cleared to wrestle and he caused trouble last week.
2 Cold Scorpio over Rich Swann by pinfall with The Diss That Don't Miss. (2 stars)
The former TV champion welcomed Rich to ECW as he was on his A game. Rich put up a good fight but not good enough.
The Pitbulls are throwing things around in their locker room as they are pissed over losing.
Tommy Dreamer beat Stevie Richards by pinfall after a Death Valley Driver. (3 stars)
Stevie was rocking early on. He even hit his finisher. Tommy showed how tough he is by fighting back.
Chris Sabin is not wasting time. He wants the TV title match he earned and that match is next.
Chris Sabin over Chris Candido w/Tammy in a TV Championship match by pinfall after a Hail Sabin to win the title. (2 stars)
Candido complained he was not prepared before the match began. The match proved he was right. Sabin was all over the Triple Threat member. He hit a Hail Sabin and Tammy got on the apron to distract the ref. Sabin hit the ropes, knocking Tammy off the apron. He made the cover but Candido kicked out. Soon after Sabin hit his finisher again and made the pin. A new TV champ and a set back for the Triple Threat.

Even with Tammy causing all kind of trouble, Sabin just refused to lay down... He should have a decent run as ECW TV champ... And I'm not surprised at all that Dr Death and Bamm Bamm took possession of those WCW tag belts... BOOM!

Even with Tammy causing all kind of trouble, Sabin just refused to lay down... He should have a decent run as ECW TV champ... And I'm not surprised at all that Dr Death and Bamm Bamm took possession of those WCW tag belts... BOOM! With Tammy I rolled the distraction on the pin and she did not get it and he did not get the pin. So I thought knocking her off was right. Felt like ECW. As far as the surprise is the MVC losing in the first place. I gave the Midnight Express a rematch figuring MVC would win. I am just glad MVC won THEIR rematch. It messed up some plans a bit as it slows things down but hopefully the dice do not mess me over again. Thanks for following and commenting.

April week 2, year 1
WWF Raw
Tonight's main event will be a special 6 man match. The Machines and a new wrestler team up. Also tonight it's the new talk show, Piper's Pit.
George "The Animal" Steele over Dan Spivey by pinfall with a Flying Hammerlock. (2 stars)
A good evenly matched match for first couple minutes. Then Spivey started taking control. The match was his till he tried to ram George's head into the turnbuckle. George blocked it and instead bit into the turnbuckle. After feasting some on the stuffing he grabbed a handful and tried to share with Spivey. He rubbed it all over Spivey's face. As the big man tried to recover George went to work and picked up the W.
A commercial for next month's PPV, Backlash. New Age Outlaws defend the tag titles against The Hardyz. Also Intercontinental Champion Ted DiBiase will defend against Bobo Brazil. More matches coming.
The Hart Dynasty w/Bret Hart over Dream Team w/Jimmy Hart via pinfall when Davey Boy Smith Jr. pinned Greg Valentine after a double team Doomsday Destroyer. (2 stars)
The Hart's worked over Beefcake who avoided being pinned and made a hot tag. Jimmy tried helping his men but every time he did Bret chased him back.
We see the set of Piper's Pit. Piper the man himself is there with his left arm in a cast and a mic in his right hand.
Piper: Ha, ha. The powers that be have given me a live mic and my own show. Who knows what craziness will ensue. What I do know is the name of my first guest. Put your hands together for the Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.
With that Orton comes out and joins Piper.
Piper: Welcome Orton. At WrestleMania I lost my chance at the title when I got beat by Randy Savage. I hate losing but I can live with that. What I can't live with is what happened after. (starting to raise his voice and look like a mad man) Macho Man you attacked me for no reason. You broke my damn arm. That pisses me off! (calming down and smiling) I want to get payback but the doctors and officials won't let me wrestle. That's why I recruited Orton. Tell em big man.
Orton: That's right Piper. You came to me and asked for a favor. I'm willing and able to take care of business. Savage, get ready. I'm gonna take you behind the woodshed and give you a beating.
Piper: Oh yea. Snap into that Randy. But hey no hard feelings. Call me after and I will give you the number of my doctor. He will help with any bones Orton breaks.
Hillbilly Jim beat Mr. Hughes w/Nation of Domination by pinfall following a big boot to the face. (1 star)
Jim asked for this match after being disrespected last week. As the bell rang it seemed they continued to show disrespect. Mr. Hughes mocked him and did a lil hoedown dance. The fans did not like that. When Mr. Hughes turned around he got blasted by Jim's big boot and Jim made a fast cover. Just like that the match was over. The fans loved that. The Nation of Domination did not. They rushed the ring and unleashed a beat down onto Hillbilly Jim leaving him hurt and laid out.
A teaser for next week. The star's of Princess Bride Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin and Wallace Shawn will be in attendance.
Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo come out for the main event. Lanny grabs a mic and starts to read a poem. Volkoff comes over and takes the mic and starts to sing the Russian national anthem. Lanny leans in and tries to continue his poem as Volkoff sings. They start to struggle over the mic when The Machines entrance music starts to play.
Capt. Lou and The Machines, Super and Big, come out to the stage. Then Lou introduces his newest client, Giant Machine. The man stand well over 7 feet and weighs over 500 lbs. He is wearing a matching mask to the other Machines but has a black singlet instead of pants.
The Machines and Giant Machine w/Capt. Lou beat Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff and Lanny Poffo by pinfall when Super Machine pinned Lanny Poffo after a Spinning Neck Breaker. (2 stars) Super and Nikolai began the action. After positioning for control Super had it. A pin attempt that got a two count then he tagged Big Machine. He pounded on the Russian for awhile then tagged Giant in and the crowd popped.
Giant looked to end the match but Nikolai slipped past him and tagged Lanny in. Lanny's eyes got huge and refused to enter. So the Iron Sheik tossed him in. Giant lunged at him but missed. Lanny put him in a headlock and tried to wear him down. After a bit of that he dropped kicked Giant Machine in the back. It sent him into his team's corner. A tag to Super who came in and quickly finished Lanny off.
As the winners celebrated in the ring there was a commotion on the stage. Bobby Heenan was going nuts. He was yelling and pointing toward the ring. It seemed he was trying to get down there but some refs and officials were holding him back.
WCW Nitro
Super Crazy over Eddie Gilbert by pinfall after a moonsault. (1 star) Crazy was in control from bell to bell.
This is the last show before the Spring Stampede PPV. Two more matches are confirmed. The Midnight Express vs Rock-n-Roll Xpress where the losing team must disband. Also Disco Inferno vs Brad Armstrong.
David Taylor beat Magnum TA by pinfall with a European uppercut. (2 stars)
Action went back and forth until David pulled away.
The crowd pops when Finlay's music plays and he comes out to the ring.
Finlay: I'm back and I want Kevin Sullivan. The Spring Stampede PPV is this Sunday. So good time for us to get it on.
We hear Sullivan's music play and he comes out to the stage with Ox Baker and Wild Bull Curry.
Kevin Sullivan: Finlay as much as I'd love to get in the ring and destroy you I'm still experiencing headaches from where ya cracked my head. So I have to pass for now.
Finlay: I still need a fight so how about one of your Dungeon members. I can kick Ox or Bull's backside.
Sullivan pounders this for a bit.
Kevin Sullivan: Fine. At Spring Stampede one of the Dungeon of Doom members vs you. You will just have to wait to find out which one.
Finlay: Fine by me. See you Sunday.
Heavenly Bodies over The Horsemen (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) by pinfall when Stan Lane pinned Christopher Daniels after a double team Rocket Launcher. (2 stars) The Horsemen were working over Tom Prichard and seemed to be on the way to an easy victory. Then Tom tagged out and momentum switched. The Bodies hit their tag finisher on Daniels. Kaz tried to make the save but Tom stopped him.
A look at the Spring Stampede card.
- Bryan Daniels vs Mil Mascaras for the World Championship.
- MVC vs The Fantastics for the World Tag Team Championship.
- Midnight Express vs Rock-n-Roll Xpress, Losing Team Must Disband.
- Finlay vs a member of the Dungeon of Doom.
- Disco Inferno vs Brad Armstrong.
- Tiger Mask vs Jushin Liger. (The match that was anticipated during the Invitational Tournament but didn't happen)
AJ Styles w/Ric Flair beat Ricochet in a non title match by pinfall after Styles Clash. (1 star)
Flair distracted Ricochet at the start of the match. It allowed AJ to jump him and control the action. The fans were upset not only for the underhanded tactics of it all but how it robbed them of a great match.
ECW Chaos
Taz w/Bill Alfonso beat Rich Swann via submission after a Tazmission. (1 star)
This match came about from a post match beat down Taz was giving Mikey Whipwreck and Rich came out to make the save. Rich was looking to make Taz pay. Unfortunately for him Taz was on his game and dominated. After a couple Tazmission Plexs did not get the pin Taz tossed Rich out of the ring. Taz went to the floor and beat down on Rich. Taz returned to the ring and Rich barely beat the count. Taz repeated this and got the same result. Then Taz slapped on the submission finisher and made Rich tap.
With the bell rung Taz did not release the hold. The ref tried to get him to release but Bill ran interference. Finally Taz released just so he could kick Rich some before hitting another Tazmission Plex. Someone ran out from the back. Joey Styles says it's Willie Mack. He enters the ring and has a stare down with Taz. Then mack hits him with the double bird before kicking him in the gut followed by a stunner. Willie checks on Rich as Taz rolls out of the ring. Taz wants to go after Willie but Bill talks him out of it and they return to the back.
A promo video from The Pitbulls. They talk about their loss to the Super Smash Brothers was a fluke. They want a rematch and they will destroy those dweebs.
Al Snow over Sabu by pinfall after a Snow Plow (1 star)
Sabu is use to being the unorthodoxed one in the match. Al seemed to have him confused. Snow hit his finisher but Sabu kicked out. It seemed to surprise Al. So he used his head. Well his Head as it were as he grabbed his mannequin head and smashed Sabu with it. Soon after another Snow Plow for the win.
The Triple Threat in their locker room. Shane Douglas talks about how Candido losing the TV title was a set back but it's ok. He holds up the World Championship and says they still have his title and that's most important.
Raven and Stevie Richards over The Saints by pinfall when Stevie pinned Jake with a Rat Trap. (1 star)
Stevie was acting his usual goofy self on the way down to the ring till Raven slapped him silly. Raven had him start the match. After wearing Jake some down Stevie was commanded to tag out. Raven took it to Jake then tagged Stevie and ordered him to finish the match which he did shortly after.
Raven got in the ring and it seemed like he might jump Dave when suddenly One Man Gang ran down and attacked Raven. Stevie tried to pull Gang off but got blasted for his effort. Raven and Gang brawl their way to the back as the show ends.

Lol...weird to see Piper in a cast rather then Orton! I could actually envision Hernan throwing a fit after his group battling the machines! AJ against Ricochet would be cool to see in person. Awesome card sir!

Mornin on_the_edge! Took me a bit but I finally caught up on all things Mad. Great stuff from top to bottom, in each sub fed going on. Realy enjoyed the build up and the reveal of The Saints. Kept making me think of that U2/Green Day tune "The Saints Are Coming". And the vision of a retired Harley Race sitting on his couch eating pudding and watching Murder She Wrote is going to stay with me for quite some time lol. Bravo my friend!

WCW Spring Stampede
Pyros go off and we are live at the Spring Stampede PPV. Tony welcomes everybody and introduces his cohost for the night, Gordon Solie. Gordon, who has a long history in wrestling in the southeast of the US, will also be doing interviews of wrestlers on Nitro. Then it's time for the opening match.
Jushin Liger over Tiger Mask by pinfall after a Brainbuster. (3 stars)
This was a highly anticapted match. The action was fast and furious over first few minutes with neither man able to gain an extended advantage. Eventually Liger got on one and hit a Brainbuster to secure the win.
Midnight Express beat R-n-R Xpress in a Loser Disbands match by pinfall when Dennis pinned Nick following a Midnight Massacre. (2 stars)
Both teams came down alone. Then James Cornette made his way down. He was looking torn. After spending time eyeing both teams he went and stood in a neutral corner.
Midnight Express were on their game. They used double teaming and frequent tags to wear Matt down. A couple finishers but he kicked out of both. Then Bobby tossed Matt to the floor and Matt got the better of an exchange. He rolled in and tagged his brother. Nick worked on Bobby for a bit but his advantage did not last long. The Midnighters went back to work. They hit Midnight Massacre and Dennis went for the cover. Matt was about to get in and make the save when Cornette smacked him in the lower back with his tennis racquet. The ref counted three and Midnight Express got the win.
Cornette got in the ring and celebrated with his boys. The Xpress looked crushed as they had to disband.
Finlay makes his way down to the ring. He paces around in it waiting on his opponent. The entrance music for Dungeon of Doom plays. Kevin Sullivan walks out flanked by Ox Baxer on his right and Wild Bull Curry on his left.
Finlay: OK let's get with this. Send the sacrificial lamb down.
Ox and Bull look at each other and then Ox smiles and starts to make his way down. But Sullivan grabs him by the shoulder, shakes his head then gestures to get back behind him. He looks disappointed but does as told. Bull gets a big grin and begins to make his way down till Sullivan stops him. A replay of what happened with Ox.
Finlay: What is this? You backing out? Too scared to send your men against me?
Sullivan: I said you'd face a member of the Dungeon and you shall. Just neither of these two.
The lights on the stage go out then a back light comes on. Something moves in front of it blocking most of it out. Tony says he thinks someone pulled a car in front of the light. Then the shadow moves and begins to take human form. A giant of a man, much the size of a small sedan, walks out. He is intimidating by size alone but he's wearing some weird helmet that covers his whole head. Smoke or steam shooting out of it every so often. Tony recognizes him. He says the man has been destroying everyone put in front of him over in Japan where he's been competing for a couple years in promotions like NJPW and All Japan Pro. Finlay watches Vader make his way to the ring. He looks intense but not intimidated.
Big Van Vader w/Kevin Sullivan defeated Finlay via pinfall with a front slam. (2 stars)
Vader dominated the match. He simply beat on Finlay from the opening bell. Finlay could find a way to counter Vader's brutality. Vader used a couple Vader Bombs to really soften Finlay up and put him away with a front slam.
Post match Ox and Bull ran down and jumped Finlay. Then they held him down in a corner as Vader climbed the turnbuckle. He performed an amazing moonsault that flattened Finlay. The Dungeon of Doom stood tall in the ring after.
Disco Inferno over Brad Armstrong by pinfall after Last Dance. (1 star)
Disco came down in his usual disco wrestling gear but also a cowboy hat. He does a mocking cowboy walk and dance. Once the bell rings he tosses his hat at Brad distracting him. Disco quickly attacks Brad. That lets Disco gain the early advantage. One he never gives up. He hits his finisher, Last Dance, and gets the pin. He mocks Brad some more after before leaving.
A promo for the next PPV. The Great American Bash in June. We see American flags, fireworks and picnics.
MVC beat The Fantastics in a WCW World Tag Team Championship match by pinfall when Williams pinned Bobby after Backdrop Driver to retain the titles. (3 stars)
The champions strong style and power was too much for the speed of the challengers. The end came when Steve Williams pinned Bobby Fulton following a Backdrop Driver.
The tag champs celebrate in the ring. Steve Williams grabs a mic. He talks about how no one in WCW can beat them. They are men among boys. They are the strongest tag team in the world. No one can match them.
He is about to go on when the familiar "I am Ironman" is heard followed by the opening riff of "Ironman" playing and the crowd pops. Two familiar men walk out to the stage. Animal. Hawk. The Road Warriors have returned to WCW. They soak in the cheering for a bit before they start walking toward the ring. MVC exit the ring and go to meet them. However before the two teams can meet a couple dozen men rush out to stop them. They are security, officials and even a few lesser known wrestlers. Both teams are yelling at each other but can not get their hands on each other.
Bryan Danielson w/Ric Flair over Mil Mascaras in a WCW World Championship match via submission with Cattle Mutilation to retain the title. (3 stars)
Mil was rolling early. He seemed to have the champ up against the ropes. Danielson barely kicked out of two pin attempts. Momentum changed when Flair distracted Mil. It allowed Danielson to catch his breath and go on the attack. He wore Mil down and put him in Cattle Mutilation. Mil tried to escape but ended up tapping.
Danielson and Flair celebrate in the ring as fans boo with the show ending.
