I've noticed over the years that Marvel has assigned real life equivalents to their characters power and ability ratings (like character X can lift 10 tons or whatever). Has such a thing been done for COTG? Like a wrestler with a -3 power rating.. how much can he lift? And is that rating equivalent to the same rating for a Legends or Indy wrestler?

I know it's considered bad form to bump an old thread, but since this never received a response in the first place, lol...I though it silly to start another one. Has there ever been any discussion official, or unofficial as to what the power and agility ratings mean, and if they differ from product line to product line? Is -2 power in COTG different from the same in the legends line, for instance?

Feels like something only Tom could answer. Probably a question for Galacticon.

Short answer is no, it has never been established. For the real world wrestlers it is kind of easy to get a benchmark or an idea of power based on what these guys actually did in their primes (recorded lifts, in ring feats of strength, etc). Agility I'm not sure how you'd even quantify. It's not as simple as a speed rating, more involved than that.
As far as COTG ratings being equal to legends, for the sake of simplicity I'd say yes. Even though some of those otherworld races look pretty mean and powerful, maybe under different gravitational situations the Earth guys can hang too.

You'd also have consider that the Power/Agility ratings doesn't necessary equate to things like benching and pressing and maybe gymnastics. I always assumed they included a number of factors like how well you use your power to perform moves, using leverage, etc. Agility would be more that doing flips and aerial moves, but also includes quickness, fluidity, etc. Guys like Benoit or Dynamite Kid weren't big, but they could generate a lot of power.
