The historical record shows that in the year 2090 a descendent of the legendary promoter Sam Munchnick found his predecessor's old journals and booking notes. This kindled a desire to reignite the wrestling business in St. Louis, which had been dead for decades. This descendent, Samantha Munchnick, managed to contact an intergalactic entity named Solaris. With help from beyond the stars, Samantha created a wrestling promotion like nothing ever seen on earth.
Now, in 2136, new technology allows wrestling at the Chase to pit the best wrestlers in the galaxy and in history against one another for pride and championships.
The old Chase building has been restored to its former glory and we're ready for a whole new generation of action and mayhem!
The computerized championship committee has gone retro in naming inaugural champions. The Missouri champion is none other than legendary Harley Race and the Missouri tag team champions are the Uptown Boys, Tommy Rogers & Marty Janetty.
Here's the lineup for the first card of the reborn WRESTLING AT THE CHASE!!

Wrestling at the Chase-Saturday January 7, 2136
Announcement: We've been noticed by none other than Dave Meltzer. Starting with tonight's card he will provide ratings and insights that can be found nowhere else.
Promoter: Bob Munchnick Commissioner: Danny Hodge Head Referee: Morgan Dollar Official Photographer: Jim Cornette Commentary: Larry Matysik & Lou Thesz Ring Announcer: Mickey Garagiola
Magnum TA vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine - While Garagiola was announcing the wrestlers, Valentine slipped behind Magnum and hit him with a devastating forearm in the back of the head and quickly followed up with the figure four leglock. The referee called for the bell just before Valentine locked in the hold Magnum was able to reach the ropes and force a break. Magnum fought valiantly but Valentine kept up the pressure and finally beat Magnum with the figure four leglock. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **
Devastation Corporation vs AC/DC -AC/DC won by Disqualification when Blaster McMassive refused to release a chokehold on Darin Corbin. - Dave Meltzer rated this match a DUD
Gorgeous George vs Matt Riddle - George beat Riddle decisively with a spinning toe hold. After the match, George sprayed Riddle in the face with his disinfectant, claiming Riddle was "filthy and needed cleaning up." -Dave Meltzer rated this match 1 1/2*
Matter & Antimatter vs Malkuth and Mantis -Matter & Antimatter won this match in decisive fashion in under two minutes. - Dave Meltzer rated this match 1/2* - Dave also stated that, based on this performance Matter and Antimatter should get a chance to move up the ladder.
The Spoiler vs Davey Boy Smith -The Spoiler locked in the Bionic Claw after a tough match. -Dave Meltzer rated this match 2 1/2*
Disco's Inferno: Disco walks onto his set, which is has a giant disco ball in the center and video clips playing in the background of his greatest moments. Disco calls out his very first guest. Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin- AC/DC. "Y;know, you boys are missing a little something. I think you need a change in wardrobe to give you more confidence in the ring." With this, Disco presents each man with a brand new white suit complete with black collars and white shoes. They look at the clothes, look at each other and just walk away laughing.
Galaxian Tag Team Title: The Road Warriors (Champions) vs The Gladiators - The Warriors showed why they're the best team in the galaxy by beating the Gladiators after a tough match with the Doomsday Device. - Massacre suffered a minor neck injury and will work hurt 3 cards. - Dave Meltzer rated this match 4*
We now take you to this interview- Taped in advance: "You people may not know who I am, but you will soon. My name is Leif Cassidy. I was once part of a great tag team with Marty Jannetty. Then Marty dropped me like a hot potato when he got the chance to go to St. Louis. He reunited with that idiot Tommy Rogers as the "Uptown Boys" and they won the Missouri Tag Belts. Marty... You made a huge mistake picking him over me and I'll prove it when I get there in a few weeks."
Galaxian Cruiserweight title: Eddie Guerrero (Champion) vs Rick Martel -This was a fast-paced, highly competitive match that Eddie finally won with the Gory Special - Dave Meltzer rated this match 4*
MIssouri Tag Team Title: Uptown Boys (Champions) vs Los Guerreros. - This was also a fast paced match, but the Uptown Boys got the win when Marty hit the Rocker Dropper on Hector. -Dave Meltzer rated this match 2* - As the Uptown Boys are celebrating, someone crawls out from under the ring and grabs a chair. IT'S LEIF CASSIDY. The Boys have no idea he's there and he clobbers Jannetty with the chair. Marty goes down in a heap and Rogers turns around just in time to absorb the impact of the chair with his face. With both of the tag champs down, Cassidy starts yelling at them. "I taped that interview at a hotel 3 minutes from here, you idiots. You're gonna pay for leaving me out Marty!!"
Cassidy walks angrily around the ring and past the commentators table. Lou Thesz gets to his feet, just in case. Cassidy keeps walking and disappears into the back.
Missouri Title Match: Harley Race (Champion) vs Antonio Inoki - Inoki never really gets going in this match. Race dominates both inside the ring and out until Inoki finally loses by countout. - Dave Meltzer rated this match ***1/2
In the Interview Area: Rick Martel: Eddie Guerrero, you're an amazing wrestler and you got me tonight. No doubt about that. But I happen to think I'm pretty amazing too and I'm not giving up until I win that cruiserweight belt!"
Galaxian Title Match: Godsend (champion) vs Endgame - There's no love lost between these two men. This is a brutal encounter that is mostly dominated by Endgame. The challenger finally puts his hated enemy away with the Northern Lights Bomb. - Dave Meltzer rated this match 4*

Wrestling at the Chase-Saturday January 14, 2136
Promoter: Bob Munchnick Commissioner: Danny Hodge Head Referee: Morgan Dollar Official Photographer: Jim Cornette Commentary: Larry Matysik & Lou Thesz Ring Announcer: Mickey Garagiola
Commissioner Danny Hodge is standing in the ring: I'm here to announce that I've suspended this Leif Cassidy idiot for tonight. This is as a result of him attacking The Uptown Boys with a steel chair last week. Wrestling at the Chase is all about hard-nosed, intense competition. Sneaking out from under the ring has nothing to do with that and won't be tolerated.
Thriller vs The Whisper - This was a "thrilling" match but there wasn't a "whisper" of a chance that Thriller would lose. He used survivor slashing to get the win. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **
Heavy Metal Title Match: Death's Head (Champion) vs Dusty Rhodes in a Titan Death Match -Dusty made the most of his first title match on WATC. He beat Death's Head in a tough match with the Bionic Elbow - Dave Meltzer Rated this match ***1/2
Devastation Corporation vs AC/DC- No Disqualification -This should have been the Corporation's type of match but AC/DC's cunning and ruthlessness surprised them. Cannon beat Smashmaster with Anarchy Rules -Dave Meltzer rated this match **1/2
Matt Riddle vs Magnum TA -This was a chaotic match from the beginning. They spent most of the match outside the ring. The referee got knocked out and Morgan Dollar came down to replace him. Dollar got knocked out as well and then it got crazy. Riddle and Magnum were fighting on the floor while Dollar was trying to regain his composure in the ring. Riddle motioned for someone and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine arrived on the scene and tried to take Magnum out. Magnum managed to fight both men off and hit the Belly to Belly suplex and a barely recovered Dollar counted the pin. - Dave Meltzer rated this match ***
Davey Boy Smith vs Rick Martel - Martel caught Davey Boy with a sunset flip within a minute of the opening bell. Smith kicked out and the two proceeded to have a great back-and-forth match until it spilled out of the ring. Martel slipped back in the ring in the nick of time and Davey Boy was counted out. A rematch has already been signed for next week. - Dave Meltzer rated this match two stars.
Los Guerreros vs Malkuth & Mantis - Mantis and Malkuth gave this match all they had but they were just no match for the Guerrero Brothers. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **1/2
Greg Valentine vs Antonio Inoki - Valentine kept looking up the aisle as if he was worried about Magnum TA coming after him. . This distraction was all Inoki needed to get the win with an Enziguiri. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **
The Spoiler vs Gorgeous George - This match went outside the ring early and often. George showed that he's deceptively tough and could take anything the masked man could dish out. In the end, though, The Spoiler's Bionic Claw was simply too much. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **
Missouri Tag Team Title: The Uptown Boys (Champions) vs Matter and Antimatter - This was easily the best match of the night. All four men left everything they had in the ring. Jannetty finally hit a back elbow ram on Matter for the win. -Dave Meltzer rated this match **** -Meltzer wrote in the observer that Marty Jannetty is looking really good and may deserve even bigger opportunities.
Missouri Title: Harley Race (Champion) vs Eddie Guerrero - Eddie showed why he's a great wrestler, but Harley Race showed why he's among the best in the history of the universe. After a tough match he beat Eddie with his patented piledriver. - Dave Meltzer rated this match **

Wrestling at the Chase-Saturday, January 21, 2136
Promoter: Bob Munchnick Commissioner: Danny Hodge Head Referee: Morgan Dollar Official Photographer: Jim Cornette Commentary: Larry Matysik & Lou Thesz Ring Announcer: Mickey Garagiola
Tommy Rogers vs Antonio Inoki Inoki never even let Rogers throw a punch. He totally dominated from the opening bell until he hit the Enziguiri for the win. Dave Meltzer rated this match **1/2 Meltzer reported in the Observer that Tommy wrestled this match with an injury. When Meltzer approached Inoki for a quote he said that Rogers battled valiantly in a losing effort and Inoki would be happy to grant him a rematch but the result would be the same. As a result of Meltzer's reporting, a rematch is signed for next week.
Matt Riddle vs Death's Head Riddle made short work of Death's Head, winning with Bromission in under 2 minutes. Dave Meltzer rated this match a DUD.
Cruiserweight Title Match: Eddie Guerrero defends against Gorgeous George This contest went back and forth until George caught Eddie off guard with a running lariat for the win Gorgeous George is the new Galaxian Cruiserweight Champion!
Rick Martel vs Davey Boy Smith- no countout with no countouts this match could roam all over the ringside area and it did just that. Davey Boy won with the running powerslam. David Meltzer rated this match **
Grudge Match- Leif Cassidy vs Marty Janetty Marty was obviously still angry about his being used to test the strength of a steel chair two weeks ago and he took it out on Leif. Marty hit the Rocker Dropper 3 times before he even attempted a pin. Dave Meltzer rated this match **
Larry Matysik is standing in the ring with Los Hermanos Guerreros. Eddie "This is so typical. Not only did a crooked ref give 'shoulda-retired Race' a cheap win against me last week, tonight they handed my cruiserweight belt to that freak Gorgeous George. But that's ok. Because next week, we've got someone coming in to watch our backs! He'll get us good matches and make sure promoters don't screw us! I'm talking about my friend...Jim Cornette!! Once he gets here, you people won't be able to keep us down anymore!"
Grudge Match: Magnum TA vs Greg Valentine Magnum went after "The Hammer" with a vengeance after last week's attack. Valentine countered quickly and locked in the Figure four leglock for the win. Dave Meltzer rated this match: **
Heavy Metal Title: Dusty Rhodes (Champion) vs Thriller Dusty barely broke a sweat in this one. He got a submission with the Figure Four Leglock. Dave Meltzer rated this match *
Los Hermanos Guerreros vs AC/DC The Guerrero Brothers hit the ring with something to prove. AC/DC unleashed their entire offense but still couldn't stop them. Chavo hit a Bodypress on Arik Cannon for the win. Meltzer rated this match *1/2
MIssouri Title: Harley Race (Champion) vs The Spoiler The Spoiler nearly beat the Grizzled old champion several times but he could never lock in the bionic claw. Race finally won with a piledriver. Dave Meltzer rated this match ***1/2
Elsewhere in the galaxy- we see hightlghts of Galaxian Title Match: Endgame (Champion) vs Austin Aries

What happened to Cosmic Forces vs. Malkuyh & Mantis? Endgame.vs. Austin Ares?
Those two matches like some good match ups! Otherwise, I didn't do too bad with my predictions...it hard to imagine though Valentine dominating Magnum like he has been though- never put too much faith in "The Hammer"
