I agree with Holland that it's alot of work to post, but it's also really cool to discuss your fed with others., and its a nice creative outlet.
I tend to have a fed going on the board, and one I don't post, for when I'm not feeling like writing, though I tend to write more than i used to these days.

I like to read the fed forum because I think it's interesting to compare results and I enjoy seeing how other promoters are using their creativity to some up with some awesome storylines.
In addition, I also find it useful to have an electronic record of my fed results that the fed forum provides.

I don't get the full effect of running a fed unless I post. The posting is what makes the fed feel like it's on tv for me. Otherwise, I feel like I'm running house shows that never get on TV. In fact, without the online community, I probably would have stopped playing years ago.
Like Mr. Vegas, I like seeing what other people are doing in their feds. You never know where you'll see an idea you can swipe or a way around a problem you've run into.
