Great question. Personally, I do switch, as long as the offensive tag move wasn't the first move of the wrestler tagging into the match. I think originally this was the rule with tag finishers and later tag "3" moves but it was kind of forgotten over time. With most LOW wrestlers that have a tag move, we typically design it to be the partner tagging in when the move is rolled. Hope that makes sense! Wow! This is great. I've been playing it "wrong" all these years. I don't know how that rule slipped by me. I want to scour old rulebooks and try to find it. Really appreciate you answering, Cory. I feel like it was in the rules update in the front of the 2090 handbook.

Just a question Grant: I noticed that you rolled the double back elbow(tag) early in the Males vs Long Riders Match. I always thought, that the Wrestlers switch after the move. I looked in the Basic and Advanced Rules, but it looks like that is not covered there? Wow. I've never heard of playing that way but it does make sense. I've always just assumed the partner runs in for the move then beats the 5 count to get out. Maybe Cory Olson or Chad Olson can chime in on if there's an 'official' ruling on this. Do you switch legal men in the ring after an offensive (tag) move? I have always done this... This gives a distinction between a "tag" move and a "double-team" move a-la the card mechanic for the Fantastics. Their moves would be more what you mention here.

That’s the official rule. Always tag out on an offensive tag move and finisher. I have always used it that way as well. One example we could use for this is when the Road Warriors hit the Doomsday Device. If the roll was on Hawk's card then Animal would go for the pin. If it was on Animal's card then Hawk would go for the pin. They basically have tagged out when going for the move.
