LEGENDARY CHRONICLES WRESTLING
POWERTRIP 1.4 (card #124) 03.Apr.29 LCW TrueVision Network
HILLBILLY JIM def. Yusuf Ismail via pinfall at 4:57. - Jim pinned Ismail <snake eyes> following a leg drop. -- Tokens: Jim 1 - Unable to accept the loss, Ismail tried to jump Jim on his way towards the backstage area. Lou Thesz cut him off, leading to a wild brawl. As security pulled the two men apart, Ismail broke through and laid out Thesz with a shovel.
* Pre-match interview w/ Gordon Solie: Jimmy Hart, Greg Valentine & Terry Gordy * "Fair enough." Hart passionately explained that Valentine and Gordy were destined to climb the ranks on their way to the LCW Universal Tag Team Championship. He added that beating a pair like George Steele and Larry Hennig would be child's play.
GREG VALENTINE & TERRY GORDY (w/ Jimmy Hart) def. George Steele & Larry Hennig via submission at 7:28. - Valentine finished Steele with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. -- Tokens: Gordy 1 - Steele 1, Hennig 2 - A distraction by Hart helped Gordy avoid disqualification when things got heated between him and Hennig out on the floor.
ED LEWIS def. William Muldoon via submission at 13:36. - Lewis finished Muldoon with a STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK. -- Tokens: Muldoon 5 - Lewis 5 - Muldoon dominated the action until Henry Irslinger made a surprise appearance. His interference nearly led to Muldoon being counted out and provided Lewis with the opportunity to mount a major comeback.
* Post-match interview w/ Gordon Solie: Ed Lewis * "As great as these matches are on TV, they're that much better live at your local arena. So get out and watch them." Lewis spoke his mind, stating that Henry Irslinger was now his professional advisor and would always be present to watch out for his best interests.
FIT FINLAY & JACKIE FARGO def. The Destroyer & The Spoiler via pinfall at 9:00. - Fargo pinned Spoiler with a high risk knee drop from the top rope. -- Tokens: Finlay 2, Fargo 1 - Spoiler 2 - This grudge match was the result of Destroyer thwarting Fargo's attempt to remove Spoiler's mask during an encounter on a recent card. Emotions were instantly running high and despite some fluid teamwork, Destroyer and Spoiler were unable to overcome the questionable tactics of the opposition.

Finlay and Fargo make an entertaining team. Cool to see Hillbilly Jim get a big victory. Finlay and Fargo have both had recent issues with the masked Destroyer / Spoiler duo... And their attitudes are definitely compatible... Honestly, I was hoping for the Terrible Turk to win that opener... Gotta find an interesting direction for Hillbilly Jim cuz he's been doing fairly well in the ring. Truly appreciate the continued interest, my friend... Many thanks!

Always great to see Hillbilly Jim win and the tandem of Valentine & Gordy is pretty cool stuff... Valentine & Gordy became a pairing of convenience because they both made their real-life debut during the same year... It would be cool if Jimmy Hart can lead them to success. Definitely appreciate the great feedback, my friend... Many thanks!

Afternoon brother Pariah, I always enjoy catching up on any fed you run, but this one is one of your best. I think because it's LOW this time. Randy Savage hits a double digit reign! When I saw Mr. Undefeated turning his sights towards Savage I knew TTX was going to be truly torn. Backlund vs Gotch or Backlund vs Thesz or Gotch vs Thesz would be the only times I would totally root for a time limit draw or ddq lol. Briliant choice of having Francine team up with Bockwinkel, solving that dilemma. Buddy Rogers came to my mind first, but I like your idea much better. No limit really to where that could go. I am also really starting to see "how" you book, noticing the pattern of a plan thats always subject to spontaneity, but recurring themes that make you, you. I am hoping Jim Londos can soon claim some gold, he's been quiet so far (in my mind). My money's on Snuka with the impending nuclear war lol. In the spirit of Jesse Pinkman: Pariah's got mad skills yo!

Will Francine tip the scales in Bockwinkel's favor when he goes one-on-one with the Great One? Has the time finally come for the Golden Greek to secure some actual gold? Stoked to have you sharing your perspective in all things, brotha... Many thanks for joining this wild ride!

Really like the presentation of Power Trip and how you included the quote from the Solie card. It lets the reader know exactly what you rolled on the card which is awesome. I may steal that for my Ringside show.
How are you deciding when to role on the Solie card? Personally, I try and fit it in where it makes sense. I am also currently trying to use the Heenan/Monsoon card but I find it is not really fitting with the presentation I am going for.

Pleased that you like how I'm using the Gordon Solie card to enhance the show... The Heenan/Monsoon card is great, but I want to use Monsoon as a wrestler for awhile before trying to implement that particular card. Right now, I just insert interview segments wherever I deem appropriate... Ideally, I include one pre-match and one post-match interview (w/ Solie) per monthly Powertrip card... I also include one interview w/ Bill Apter during each Halo Of Fire card (which occur every six weeks)... In addition, I roll on the GMC ring announcer card every time I roll doubles for the opening initiative rolls (for which I roll 2 dice)... And I roll on the Morgan Dollar referee card anytime a wrestler rolls a 2 or 12 for opening initiative... That might seem like a lot, but it all runs quite smoothly. Truly appreciate the continued interest and kind words, my friend... Many thanks!
