NWA Announces A Return To Programming With New Series “Shockwave”
The National Wrestling Alliance is coming back with a new series.
The promotion’s play-by-play commentator Joe Gali announced today on Youtube that the new program, entitled, “NWA Shockwave,” will begin airing next Tuesday at 7pm EST. This is the same timeslot as the NWA’s previous weekly episodic, Powerrr, which Shockwave is replacing.
Gali also added that Shockwave will be produced in conjunction with the United Wrestling Network at Thunder Studios in Los Angeles, California.

I wonder if they had to change the name due to some contractual issues, because otherwise I don't think the name swap makes sense. I mean, unless Powerrr will be on at a different time.

It's odd that Powerrr isn't even mentioned. I hope they stick with the studio setup.

Didn't AEW sign about half of the people the NWA was featuring?

Didn't AEW sign about half of the people the NWA was featuring? I don't think they'll be exclusive to AEW. I believe Rosa is still with the NWA until 2023. I feel Storm is still there even though he showed up at Impact. I may be wrong.

I think James Storm only came back for that 1 match for him and Eli Drake to drop the NWA's tag belts to Aron Stevens and JR Kratos on Primetime Live. Storm mentioned somewhere last month he had left the NWA but was willing to return if the NWA wanted him to help pass on the tag team championship.

Well, it would be a shame if Powerrr went away, because we really enjoyed the show as a family. But glad to see that something would be taking its place. Now they need a killer theme song like Powerrr had!

It looks like at least most of these matches on NWA Shockwave are matches that previously aired on Primetime Live.
This week's lineup:
Kamille versus Cece Chanel
Eli Drake versus Darth Watts
Thunder Rosa versus Priscilla Kelly for the NWA women’s championship
