What do Clark W. Griswold, MJF, and the Dark Star Creature have in common? They're all mentioned in the 10th episode of Uncharted Territory! It's our biggest episode yet: nearly three hours of holiday fun! Find out what a Ladder Royal is and leave your comments on our Question of The Week. Thanks for listening! Can't wait to listen to this, I've been catching up on all the previous ones and they are all great!
On a fun note, you mentioned the name Frederick Crosby in the classic COTG newsletter episode... I actually befriended Fred this past summer (met him talking about sports simulation tabletop games).
We actually talked a lot about COTG and he even showed me pictures of old letters he had written and received from Tom! Super cool stuff! I just thought that was bizarre and it definitely made me double take when I heard his name on the podcast š

Just listen to the podcast...man, I sounded nervous and could tell I was choking up talking about David...even after all these years, he is missed and I am glad his story continues! Concerning the Top 5 cards, I canāt remember whether or not it was just the Legends set or not- so, I will give my all time fav cards: 1. Randy Savage - A no brained! At the time of his signing, easily the biggest name of the āmodern ageā...oh yeah! 2. Stan Hansen - I remember his battles with Ric Martel in the AWA (watched a little of the AWA...I found most matches kinda dull...sorry). 3. Dynamite Kid - A great inclusion as this reunited the British Bulldogs! More and more of the Hart family tree is getting filled...maybe Bret will come in time. 4. Trish Stratis - Had to put the best female IMO on the list...you may say Mullah but her past is shrouded in controversy and she said-she said...which tarnishes the whole thing. 5. AJ Styles. Easily the best in the business at this time! Thank you for letting me tell my story...I know I am nasal a bit but I have had my nose broken 5 times- so give a guy a break! P.S. Chad...the booklet from Dave for his PPV was LABORPHOBIA... I use this name now for years in honor of him.

I listened to this episode tonight and as always I really enjoyed it. Good to also hear both Tournament Master and Old Skewl.
Chad, in a way you were correct about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom being the first PG-13 movie. It was first released in the theaters as PG but its content (and that of Gremlins which came out a few weeks later) actually led to the creation of the PG-13 rating with Red Dawn later that year indeed being the first PG-13 movie to be released in the theaters as PG-13. I was under the impression that Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was later re-rated as PG-13 but I just checked my DVD and it still has a PG rating on it.

It was a very heartfelt segment, and spoke to our overarching theme of this game building theme and community. How dare you besmirch the good name of the AWA! We were talking about top Legends releases in 2020. The all time list would be a great discussion topic too!

I couldn't remember if Temple of Doom was the first rated PG-13 movie or if it led to it. I definitely remember the fracas over the violence in TOD, especially the scene with the heart in the temple! Our mutual friend James Jeffries is a huge Patrick Swayze fan, so he'd be happy to know Red Dawn was the first PG-13 movie!

I apologize in advance for some of the audio issues. I've fixed that on my side with a 50 foot ethernet cable!
