Degrassi: The Next Generation Star Jahmil French Dies At 29

Degrassi star Jahmil French has died at the age of 29. French's Degrassi co-stars confirmed the death to fans on social media, though the cause of death has not been specified (at the time of writing this). Jahmil French played the role of Dave Turner, the kid on a quest to be popular. He started playing the character in the Degrassi: Minis shorts, as well as Degrassi: The Next Generation. More recently he has starred in Netflix's original series Soundtrack, playing Dante Sands, a felon trying to get back on his feet, who connects with other musical-minded types in Los Angeles.

Former Broncos DB Darrius Johnson Passes Away at 47

Johnson was a Terrell, Oklahoma, native who played defensive back and returner for the Oklahoma University Sooners from 1992 and 1995. He was picked up by the Broncos in 1996 as a fourth-round draft pick and played for the Broncos for four seasons—a total of 61 games.


Before the age of 26, he had two Super Bowl titles under his belt thanks to the Broncos winning squads in 1997 and 1998, adding clutch plays, like an interception in Super Bowl XXXIII against the Atlanta Falcons, to help clinch the wins.

Johnson also briefly played for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003.

Moonshiners' Star Lance Waldroup Dead at 30

Lance Waldroup, a famous bootlegger from Discovery's "Moonshiners," has died.

Lance died Feb. 25 in his home state of North Carolina ... according to his father, Jeff, who also appeared on the reality show alongside his son. The cause of death remains unclear.

Discovery tells TMZ ... Lance will be remembered as an adventurous distiller who was always looking to take his flavorful recipes of moonshine to new heights.

Lance appeared in several early seasons of the show ... bootlegging out of North Carolina with his father. He was one of the younger and less experienced moonshiners, and would often turn to his dad for guidance. He also distilled absinthe and scotch.

The Waldroups have really been through it -- the family says Lance had survivor's guilt because his sister died when she was 11, and his brother died when he was 20.
