RIP to a true "Natural". I remember when Pro Wrestling Illustrated listed a bunch of wrestlers' birthdays, and I saw that I shared a birthday with "Hacksaw" Butch Reed. I was a big fan of Doom with Ron Simmons & Teddy Long as their manager. His Mid-South feud with Junkyard Dog is a classic. He will be missed.

So weird, I was just thinking of him and Doom yesterday or the day before. Had not thought of him before that for probably a year or more.
Is he in the WWE HOF? Did he go in as part of Doom? If not they should do it.

I was sad to hear this news earlier today while I was working.
Butch Reed for quite awhile has been in my personal Top 10 most wanted cards for LOW. I really enjoyed using the bootleg of him that Mike M created for the Wrestlemania IV set along with the Slick manager card. I also somewhere have a shoot interview DVD that Butch Reed did over 15 years ago.
RIP to one of my favorite wrestlers of the 1980s and the early 1990s.
