So I decided after about a decade of being Legends only to get back into the Champions side of things. I'm about 7 months into my 2125 promotion and my schedule just feels kind of sparse. I am doing weekly TV and quarterly PPVs but I want some accomplishments guys can chase past just title belts.
I currently have the Mega Tournament where the winner gets a title match. I also know that Omega dies in 2126 so I will probably do some sort of Memorial Cup. But I was just looking for some ideas on tournaments or events you run to spice things up during a fed's calendar year.

In my fed I do:
DEIMOS PERENNIAL - First card of the year THE RECKONING - A series of Ranking Gauntlet. The two lowest ranked wresters/teams fight, the winner fights the next highest ranked person and so on until a title match at the end of the night. CIVIL WAR - All tag team single elimination tournament, winner gets a title shot. BETRAYAL - 8 man single elimination tournament, winner gets a title shot. Big Bang - end of the year supercard. This is the Wrestlemania of my fed. Takes place on the last night of the year.
The above happen every year in my fed. The following happen often, but not every year. Just when storylines warrant them.
BATTLEZONE - All Battlezone matches SURVIVAL - My fed's version of Survivor Series. All Survival Rules matches. RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE - Card is booked (usually heated feuds) and right before the match an random stipulation is picked (Rolling on the Commissioner Chart in the Ringside Companion) and the match is fought under those rules.

So I'm going to do an annual 8 man tournament every "month" for my Open the Crossroads Championship in my Kronos fed. It's pretty basic, a straight 8 elimination, the champion of the tournament comes back next time as the number 1 seat. To defend and retain their championship, they have to win the tournament again. Random wrestler's are drawn, nobody knows who's in the tournament until their match comes up! Totally random. Very hard to repeat as champion, but exciting when they do.
I love running tournaments, it's almost 90% of my play these days, so Centra Cup, Nexus Cup (tag team), King of Trios, impossible tournaments (round robins), Mega tournaments (64 man) which is my favorite! Wish I had more time to play, so that's why I do tournaments so much, don't have to worry about building stories & rivalries, just play at random!

I also know that Omega dies in 2126 so I will probably do some sort of Memorial Cup. Perfect! I am in 2127, just 1 year after Omega died, and I have been thinking of doing an annual tag team tournament like I do for my LOW fed. I think I am going to use this idea too!

It feels natural to me as far as something the GWF would do.

I do quarterly PPV's so my Fall Show: King of the Kosmos is a 16 man tournament w/ the qualifiers happening during tv and the final 4 happens in the PPV. Winner gets a title shot after the PPV and once you win you can never enter again after Wolf won the tournament twice I put the rule in place so I could give new blood a chance.
The only other real annual thing I do is at the 1st card of every year, the 2 day mega weekend event "Deimos Perennial" I have a Money in the Bank triple threat match between 3 upper mid card guys that may not necessarily always be in the title picture, but could get have a banner year if they win the match and can challenge for the title at anytime during the year.

One thing I set up that I really like is I set up a house show circuit. So every month I have 3 circuits and play out 3 shows and then those shows run the circuit of towns for the month with the same matches and results.
It's a really easy way for me to make sure guys are getting at least a match a month and sometimes a match might spark something that I turn into a feud.

I do a annual Rigel Rumble where the winner of the singles and tag-team Rigel Rumbles get a title shot where they can decide the stipulations.

For my COTG feds, since I am overall mostly a LOW and Indy player (I am just doing alot of COTG right now to fill in my 2125-2135 gap, currently in May of 2127,) I do only 1 show/game month for a total of 12 shows/game year. Of those 12 shows, these are my annual events: January: Elimination GamesAll matches are Survivor Series style elimination team matches. All of the Survivors earn title shots, but if the champion they want to challenge is also a Survivor at the Elimination Games then they must first defeat the champion in a non-title match. Thus the stakes are high for both my champions and my non-champions and this show determines the first wrestlers to get title shots to start the new year. It is a good opportunity for some wrestlers to earn title shots that might not otherwise. May: Omega Memorial Cup (I got this idea from maddog1981.) A tag team tournament. If my current tag team champions lose they must defend the titles against the tag team that eliminated them AND the tag team that wins the tournament (if the tournament winning tag team is different than the tag team that eliminated them) in an upcoming 3 way tag elimination match. If the tag team that eliminates my tag team champions is the same tag team that wins the tournament, then my tag team champions defend the tag team championship only against the tournament winning tag team in my standard best 2 out of 3 falls tag title matches, but the challenging tag team only has to win 1 more fall against the champions in that match. If my tag team champions win the Omega Memorial Cup, they do not have to defend their championship on the next 2 shows. Thus the stakes are high for every tag team involved. September: Vega WarfareThe main event is an Aztec Warfare style match. I usually have the new wrestlers from the next game year make their initial appearance in this match which allows me to introduce multiple wrestlers at once and start the transition for the next game year. November: Star Wars EveA stacked lineup (but with much fewer than my normal 15 matches/show) going into Star Wars the following month. December: Star Wars My biggest show of the year to close out the game year.
