KINGDOM of TRUTH KOT #4 - MACK VS. MONSTER (01.Jan.23) from the Pariah Palace, Neverwhere, USA
Commentary: Trish Stratus and Vampiro
KOT Frontline Trios Championship Tournament Opening Round Match LENNY LANE, PETEY WILLIAMS & SHAWN DAIVARI def. Eli Everfly, Luchasaurus & Space Monkey. - Williams pinned Luchasaurus following a CANADIAN DESTROYER. - A blind tag between Lane and Williams caught Luchasaurus completely off guard. - Lane, Williams & Daivari advanced to the KOT Frontline Trios Championship tournament semifinals. - Tokens: Luchasaurus 2 - DQ warnings: n/a
Backstage: The Governor reassured Space Monkey there was an ongoing investigation into the assault that resulted in him missing the Battle Royal on the last card. The evidence seemed to pointing towards 'Cowboy' James Storm since it was his hat that was found at the scene along with a broken beer bottle. However, it was still too early to rule out other suspects.
'HANGMAN' ADAM PAGE & SAMI CALLIHAN def. Davey Boy Smith Jr & Lance Hoyt. - Page smashed Hoyt with a shooting star press and hooking the tights, scored a controversial pinfall. - Despite their questionable tactics, Page and Callihan worked as a cohesive unit in their first appearance as a team. - Page and Callihan were told to find a third member for their team in order to compete in the KOT Frontline Trios Championship tournament. - Tokens: Smith 1, Hoyt 2 - DQ warnings: Callihan
Backstage: The Governor announced that Austin Theory and Daga would be granted a spot in the KOT Frontline Trios Championship tournament. Since their teammate, Sammy Guevara, was out with an injury, they would have to find a replacement. Michael Bennett agreed to join them.
THUNDER ROSA def. Priscilla Kelly (w/ Vanessa Kraven). - Rosa pinned Kelly following LA ROSA. - This rematch was demanded by Kelly after losing to Rosa in under a minute on the last card. She brought Kraven to serve as her bodyguard to prevent a repeat of the 'shenanigans' that took place during that encounter. - Kraven caused Rosa some minor problems until Holidead arrived to keep her in check. Kelly was busted wide open by the conclusion of this virtually one-sided match. - Tokens: Kelly 6 - DQ warnings: Rosa - Kelly
KOT Frontline Trios Championship Tournament Opening Round Match BRIAN KENDRICK, PAUL LONDON & TJ PERKINS def. Brody King, Darby Allin & Tommy End. - Kendrick stunned End with a rolling wheel kick for a flash finish. - It looked like the Anti-Heroes had the match won after End nailed TJP with an OWARI DEATH FOOT STOMP, but Kendrick and London broke up the near fall. When King and Allin jumped into the ring, they were cut off by the referee and Kendrick used the distraction to switch places with TJP without a legal tag. - Kendrick, London & TJP advanced to the KOT Frontline Trios Championship tournament semifinals. - Tokens: Kendrick 1, TJP 3 - Allin 1, End 1 - DQ warnings: Allin
Backstage: Salina de la Renta stormed into the Governor's office, demanding that Odyssey be included in the KOT Frontline Trios Championship tournament. The Governor cracked a joke about Salina's 'subtle charm' and then stated that her stable of Alex Hammerstone, Killer Kross & Lio Rush would face Bandido, Flamita & Rey Horus in an opening round match on the next card.
SHANE STRICKLAND def. AR Fox. - Strickland landed a SWERVE STOMP and covered Fox for a three count. - Blaming Fox for his unfortunate elimination from the KOT Apex Championship Battle Royal on the last card, Strickland gained some well deserved revenge while picking up his second victory in this escalating rivalry. - Tokens: Strickland 1 - Fox 2 - DQ warnings: Fox
Backstage: With some carefully chosen words, Stokely Hathaway fired up his clients. Hanson nodded in agreement as Hathaway reminded Mark Briscoe that he was the new KOT Apex Heavyweight Champion and no one should be allowed to steal his spotlight.
WILLIE MACK def. PCO. - Mack pinned PCO following a STUNNER. - Both men delivered a show stopping performance in this seesaw battle. PCO gained the upper hand, nearly putting Mack down with suicide bomb on the apron followed by a package piledriver. Responding to the support of the fans, Mack mounted a thrilling comeback. - Mack was declared the number one contender for the KOT Apex Heavyweight Championship. - Tokens: Mack 4 - PCO 4 - DQ warnings: n/a
In The Ring: At the conclusion of the main event, Mark Briscoe arrived with his manager, Stokely Hathaway, to taunt Mack. While Mack's attention was focused on the champion, Hanson attacked him from behind. Briscoe joined Hanson, leading to a vicious two-on-one beatdown until PCO surged back to life and made the save. The Governor announced that PCO and Mack would join forces on the next card to face Hanson and the KOT Apex Heavyweight Champion, Mark Briscoe, in tag team action. Hathaway voiced his objections, but they fell on deaf ears.

Double Trouble for Briscoe and Hanson 🙂 Should be a great match for sure The big question will be how will either side of this battle functions as a team... Keep in mind that Hanson and Mark were each partially responsible for their former respective partners being exiled from the Kingdom... Ouch! Will Hathaway's guidance be enough? Or will Mack & the Monster tear them apart?

Just from the Stats Mark and Hanson are the better Team Wrestlers. If you can say that just by defensive Tag Chances? How do you handle Tagteam. Wrestlers teaming up with not their usual Partners?

Just from the Stats Mark and Hanson are the better Team Wrestlers. If you can say that just by defensive Tag Chances? How do you handle Tagteam. Wrestlers teaming up with not their usual Partners? Excellent question... When irregular partners team up, I decrease the target number for defensive tags by one... Meaning a wrestler would have to roll 6 or under to make a successful defensive tag on L1D, 5 or under on L2D and 4 or under on L3D... Also, I would not allow them to use tag team finishers. That all being said, I would probably allow partners to be considered a 'regular' team after they've fought together a few times.

Just had to look at their Cards No big deal for Hanson concerning Tag Finishers In Marks Case that missing Doomsday Device would be a huge advantage

Somewhere down the line, if he continues to team up with Hanson on a regular basis, I will consider allowing them to use the Doomsday Device... Time will tell the tale!
