I really disagree with the concept of titles changing hands on a DQ or count out. In MMA or boxing getting DQed usually means you have committed some foul that will hamper your opponents ability to continue fighting. Also neither sport has any sort of mechanism to handle people leaving the ring or octagon.
I think wrestling works best when it pretends the sport part matters but it should not ultimately work like a sport. Promotions typically get boring if they are too sports based unless it's something like All Japan or New Japan in the 90s.
I think something like modern New Japan does it about perfectly. It pays lip service to sport and has the window dressings of a sport but you get all of your wrestling tropes mixed in with it.
