George Steele easily handle Bruiser Costa. Steele got an early jump but Costa reversed. From there, Costa got a few shots until Steele managed a comeback. He ripped open a turnbuckleand rubbed the stuffing in Costa's face before lifting him into the Flying Hammerlock to take a quick submission.
The British Bulldogs held off The Heenana Family (Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens) aftera Dynamite Kid Diving Head Butt on Stevens. This was a great back and forth match with Bockwinkel almost putting Dynamite Kid away early with the Sleeper but Kid came battling back. Bockwinkel and Stevens nearly cheated their way to a win but a double tackle by the Bulldogs followed by a falling power slam from Davey Boy and then the Tombstone and Diving Head Butt put Stevens down.
Magnificent Muraco bested Konnan with a belly to belly suplex from his suplex assortment. This was a very even match but late in the match, Konnan tried to execute a sidewalk slam only for Muraco to reverse and then wore down Konnan before suplexing him for the win.
Great Gama debuted and squashed Nacho Barrera with the Gama Throw. This was quick and brutal with Gama tossign him around for a few moves before quickly ending things with a Gama Throw. Gama then motioned for the microphone and said no one not Savage, Thesz or Vader was a match for him before leaving.
The Midnight Express beat The Armstrongs after a beautiful long match when Dennis Condrey suplexed Bob Armstrong on Bobby Eaton's knee. This went back and forth and the Armstrongs nearly pulled off a victory a few times before Cornette regrouped his boys and they turned it on with a flurry of offense finally wearing Bob down before the suplex onto the knee gave them the pin as Brad was unable to stop the three count.
Lou Thesz finally edged Lou Albano with the Thesz Press to win the Submit or Surrender Match. Albano nearly took a stunning upset with a rollup of all things as Thesz hit his head hard. (Snake Eyes Twice, only managed to kick out of the third attempt) Albano then hung tough and got a close chance with a Sicilian Slam but in the end, Thesz pounded him to a pulp and Albano did not move after the Thesz Press until 20 seconds later.
Submit or Surrender Rules means you have to roll your pin or less three consecutive times.

Hmmmm....Maybe I'll combine the submit or surrender with another stipulation to end my Race/Bulldogs vs. the Memphis Mafia feud.

Great to see Mr Thesz was finally able to obtain that elusive payback against Mr Albano... Like the rules for your Submit or Surrender match - simple, yet effective... WHO is the greatest LOU now?
Enjoyed that back and forth conflict between the Bulldogs and Bock & Stevens... And Great Gama is indeed a force to be reckoned with... Even though crushing NachoMania is a good way to draw the ire of the fans... HA! I've already booked a special attraction match between Gama and Andre on one of my upcoming Legends shows... Thinking the Eighth Wonder of the World has possibly met his match.
Fun times, my friend... As always!

I don't normally cross B and W with Color but I must run that match too. Thanks for liking the match. It is indeed quite simple but it's amazing how you start holding your breath when you hit that second PIN and wondering if you'll get the third.

In a special exhibition match Andre the Giant defeated Great Gama with the Big Splash. Gama gave it a shot but Andre's power was too much in the end and the Splash finished things off.

Rock and Roll Express came back to beat The Heavenly Bodies following a Cross Body Block on Lane. The Bodies dominated early and nearly had the Rock and Rolls down but they just could not keep Morton or Gibson down. Gibson started to battle back and the Express hit the Double Dropkicks. They continued and finally a Morton Cross Body put down Lane as Gibson flipped Prichard to the floor on top of Jim Cornette.
Vampiro bested George Hackenschmidt with Nail in the Coffin. Hackenschmidt dominated for a while and nearly put away Vampiro with his powerful Russian Bear Hug but Vampiro was not going to be denied and came back with a uranage and then the Nail in the Coffin. Hackenschmidt got his foot on the ropes but Salina knocked it off before the referee could see it.
Hillbilly Jim held off Lenny lane with the Bear Hug. Hillbilly Jim struggled against Lenny Lane as Lane used a combination of agility and dirty tactics to nearly pull off the win with Memory Layne. Jim somehow survived it all and then clamped on the Bear Hug. Lane tried to escape but finally surrendered.
Stan Hansen and the Miracle Violence Connection bested Jackie Fargo and The Fantastic after the Lariat on Fargo. This was a great back and forth match with both teams having chances to win before Hansen managed to recover from a big punch by Fargo with a slam of Fargo off the top turnbuckle and then a perfect Lariat that knocked Fargo loopy. Hansen made the cover and The Fantastics were unable to make a save.
Exotic Adrian Street finished off a game Sam Houston with his Cobra Clutch. Houston dominated Adrian for a long portion of the match. Anything Street did Houston seemed to have a counter. Street then finally exploded and became a pit bull and just kept working over Houston before locking in the Cobra Clutch and Houston's arm dropped three times for the submission.
Frank Gotch finished off Baron Von Raschke with the Gotch Toe Hold. Gotch dominated the match but Baron held him off for a while. In the end though Gotch locked in the Toe Hold. Baron tried to rake Gotch's eyes but could not. He then tried to grab the ropes but Gotch moved him to the middle of the ring and finally Von Rachke had to give.
The Briscos knocked off the Powers of Pain when Jack used a dropkick to pin Barbarian. This was the classic battle of speed, agility and technical ability against power and brawling. The teams seemed evenly matched for a while but in the end Jack used a dropkick and knocked Barbarian down while Warlord could not get in the ring fast enough to make a save.
Big Van Vader pinned Lou Thesz after the Released Power Bomb. Vader dominated early though Thesz did a power kick out on the Released Power Bomb. Vader made a bad decision though and missed the Moonsault. Thesz then pounded the heck out of Vader and if not for a timely distraction by Jim Cornette, Vader would have gone down to the Thesz Press. In the end, Vader made a comeback and finally hit another Power Bomb for the three count.

Hey TTX me bro! That was some card you just posted man. This newest LOW Color set is so next on my list for sure. Vader vs Thesz sounded like a real event. Also glad Thesz was able to hopefully put the pesky Albano behind him, but it sounded pretty perilous for a bit there lol. Jammin stuff as always!

Really enjoyed the assortment of talent on this show... Big win for Vader in the main event although he needed an assist from Mr Cornette to make it happen... And of course, I'm stoked that my Vampire brother put down Hack with a Nail in the Coffin!

Big Van Vader (with Jim Cornette and Mr. Hughes) held off a game Sam Houston with the Released Power Bomb. Houston managed to avoid a top rope move and hit the Bulldog but eventually Vader regained control and battered Houston down for a while before lifting him up with the big power bomb and one foot on the chest for the pin.
The Fantastics finally crushed The Long Riders with the Rocket Launcher on Scott Irwin. Scott hung in there for a while and the Riders took a near early pin after a loaded boot shot but eventually Fulton and Rogers started to click on all cylinders and put Scott away while making sure Bill was unable to do anything about it.
Brutus Beefcake pinned Mr. Hughes (with Jim Cornette) after a belly to back suplex. This match went on for a long time with neither wanting to keep control for too long. For a while it looked like Hughes might take it but when Beefcake had control Jim Cornette tried to get involved with the racket only to smash into Hughes and get atomic dropped out by Beefcake. From there, Beefcake lifted up Hughes with a suplex and held him down for the win.
Great Gama took down George Steele (with Captain Lou Albano)with the Gama Throw. Steele's unorthodox approach threw Gama for a bit but he eventually recovered before taking a near fall with a gut wrench throw and then the Gama Throw finished things off.
The Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette) squashed The Killer Bees when Condrey pinned Blair after the Midnight Massacre was executed. Brunzell tried to make the save only for the referee to put him back allowing the Midnights to use a double clothesline before Condrey covered for the pin while Cornette blasted Brunzell with the tennis racket to stop a save.
Hugh Morrus squashed George Hackenschmidt with No Laughing Matter. Hack got the early advantage but Morrus came back and reversed off the ropes before using No Laughing Matter for the pin.
Jack Brisco (with Jerry Brisco) pinned Greg Valentine (with Jimmy Hart) with the deadly Rolling Reverse Cradle. Valentine hung around for ages as Brisco just could not seem to lock on a finisher but eventually Valentine outsmarted himself and missed a charge allowing Brisco to roll him up. Valentine got a shoulder up but a different cradle allowed Brisco to take the win.
The British Bulldogs (with Captain Lou Albano) bested Brains and Brawn when Dynamite Kid put away Ted DiBiase with a tombestone piledriver. DiBiase and Williams were tough but they could never manage to sustain enough offense to get the Bulldogs too worried. In the end, DK picked up DiBiase and drove him to the mat while DBS dropkicked Williams to the floor as DK picked up the three.
