Life Is A Carnival...------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IntroductionHello all! Still being completely enamored with The Olde Wrestling product line and constantly inspired by my fellow promoters styles and imaginations, I'm taking yet another shot at running and posting one of these feds - to embrace my addiction lol. Although my current fed is my main focus. I wanted to once again thank Tournament Master and everyone involved, for and with, writing and editing these incredible cards. Let alone of course Werner's consistently stellar artwork. (His artwork for Matthew Cross's card is a masterpiece imo). One prior idea morphed into this one and I'm just going with this flow. So here's a brief Introduction: The Current Date - Sunday, February 23rd 1930. The Location - The deceptively unassuming town of Speakeasy, Indiana. It's halfway between Muncie, Indiana and the Ohio state border - just a stone's throw north of Campbell Creek. About a thousand or so folk populate this town with a downtown center that's comprised of; a courthouse, police station, hotel, bank, restaurant, church (graveyard in the back of it) general store, movie house and a park. The Arena - A general store / habidashery / refurbished old stagecoach lodge that's long been owned for generations upon generations by the Fontaine family, just about a mile outside of town. The actual arena is the substantially large ol' red barn that's conveniently connected to the store / habidashery & lodge. The Fed Owner - William H. Taft, the former (and 27th) President of The United States. Also the current Chief Justice of The United States. The Commissioner - Judge Hugo Lexington Black. The Assistant Commissioner - "The Handlebar Habidasher" Marion Fontaine The Starting Roster - Eight wrestlers including our showpiece wrestler - midwestern and northwestern legend "Old Timer" Jeff King. The Overall Climate - A colossal stock market crash this past October 28th, crippling unemployment, gangland violence on the rise (especially since Valentine's Day of last year), and Prohibition still vastly effects and warps portions of our society. And now...our barker and news man...on a corner by the courthouse in downtown Speakeasy - Master Inky Scoops: "Hurry...Hurry...Ladies and Gentlemen...Step Right Up...For Our First...And Free...Copy Of... The Top Turnbuckle Tribune...This Coming Saturday Night At 8pm...At Old Man Fontaine's Place...Four...Count Em...Four...Astounding Professional Wrestling...Exhibitions...With Four...Amazing...Supporting Attractions...Don't Miss The Chance To Watch...The Prestigious Beginnings Of...A Quest To Become...The OWF World...Heavyweight Champion...Every Night...Is Ladies Night...Bring The Kiddies Why Don'tcha...Let Us Take Yer Minds Off Of Things...Extrie...Extrie...Read All About It..." This Coming Saturday 8pm, March 1st 1930 Speakeasy, Indiana:☆ "The Handlebar Habidasher" Marion Fontaine vs Agent Dick J. Lahart !
☆ Judge Hugo Lexington Black vs "Felino Blanco" Louis Lyndon !
☆ Nicholas Valentino vs Jock Samson !
☆ "Burly" Bill Taylor vs "Old Timer" Jeff King !The idea is to post the results on Saturdays at 8pm starting with this upcoming one. (I'm on my second card & trying to stay a little ahead of the game for a change!) Hope all is well! HUZZAH!

Life Is A Carnival... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exhibition Number - 1 - Life Is A Carnival...Believe It Or Not...Life Is A Carnival...Two Bits A Shot...
Live From The Olde Wrestling Federation Arena (aka Old Man Fontaine's Habidashery, General Store and Refurbished Stagecoach Lodge Barn)
Speakeasy, Indiana Saturday March 1st, 1930
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brought To You By:
☆ The Fabulous - FUNCIE FEMMES - Burlesque Show - from Fabulous Downtown Muncie Indiana!
☆ Chief Walcott Kickapoo's Traveling Horsedrawn Casino And Tobacconist - Just Parked Out Behind The OWF Arena !
☆ Piano Rags By Mr. Scott Joplin !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First Attraction: --------------------------------
As the ring and ringside areas are being set up for tonight's wrestling exhibitions, the crowds attention is suddenly drawn towards someone emerging from underneath the ring.
It's none other than The OWF's Juggler and Acrobat Extraordinaire - Cymbal Monkey - who regails the crowd with some incredible manual dexterity and heart pounding trapeze work!
First Exhibition: ----------------------------------
"The Handlebar Habidasher" Marion Fontaine vs Agent Dick J. Lahart with Judge Hugo Lexington Black:
The OWF's Assistant Commissioner Marion Fontaine faced off against Agent Dick J. Lahart from The Bureau of Prohibition in our first ever exhibition at The OWF.
In Agent Lahart's corner for the exhibition was none other than The OWF Commissioner Judge Hugo Lexington Black, who had pulled some strings in order to have Lahart join The OWF on a permanent basis as his right hand man:
Agent Dick J. Lahart defeated "The Handlebar Habidasher" Marion Fontaine via Pinfall - Lahart pinned Fontaine after a Turnbuckle Shaking Body Block In The Corner...
Agent Dick J. Lahart - 0 Fatigue, 1 Concealed Foreign Object Attack
Judge Hugo Lexington Black - Somewhat Convincingly Portrayed Himself To Fonaine As Caring About Fontaine's Welfare Immediately After The Bell
Marion Fontaine - 1 Fatigue, Never Saw The Billy Club Coming
The Crowd - Cried Foul Play At The Blatant Cheating And A Completely Oblivious Referee
Second Attraction: ------------------------------------
This spot of the evening belonged to a former member of Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus, Ms. Mary Elizabeth Monroe - better known by circus goers as "The Bearded Lady".
There was a brief break in period for folks to adjust to her copious amounts of facial hair, but they weren't able to adjust at all to the fact of what a magnificent contortionist she is - with undeniable core strength.
Ms. Monroe was genuinely flattered when a young girl, who had worked her way up to ringside, asked Monroe for what was to be "The Bearded Lady's" very first autograph.
Second Exhibition: ------------------------------------
Judge Hugo Lexington Black vs "Felino Blanco" Louis Lyndon:
For our second wrestling exhibition, Commissioner Black faced what he assumed to be was a low caliber wrestler, (as he had instructed his Assistant Commissioner Fontaine to arrange).
Black had never heard of the masked "Felino Blanco" (who had relocated here from a stint in New Orleans) and believed Fontaine when Fontaine had assured Black - that Black could definitely take him.
Black however failed to notice Fontaine's smirk after he said it, while Fontaine was still rubbing his temple from the previous exhibition:
"Felino Blanco" Louis Lyndon defeated Judge Hugo Lexington Black via Pinfall - With his crowd thrilling CROSSBODY SPLASH in an embarrassingly short amount of time...
Louis Lyndon - 0 Fatigue, Also Dazzled The Crowd With A Superhuman Flying Forearm Off The Ropes
Judge Hugo Lexington Black - 0 Fatigue, An Overwhelming Amount Of Semi-Conscious Shock
Marion Fontaine - Laughed Out Loud From His Seat Next To The Timekeeper At The Sound Of The Thudding Impact Made By Lyndon's Match Ending Finisher
The Crowd - Solidly Behind And Impressed By The Newcomer Lyndon
Third Attraction: -----------------------------------
Two more former members of Ringling Brothers Circus, two famous strongmen that go by the names of "Clean" and "Jerk" - The Jollyville Jeepers!
They wowed the crowd with several feats of strength and endurance, highlighted by The Jeepers both lifting up a thick wooden plank on their shoulders that had four smiling and screaming young women sitting on it and holding on for dear life!
Third Exhibition: ---------------------------------
Nicholas Valentino vs Jock Samson:
This exhibition showcased Nicholas Valentino, a talented but unethical wrestler from Brooklyn, against a rough and tumble local fan favorite in Jock Samson.
Valentino came here for a few reasons, but mostly because he had heard that The OWF had signed the crafty and tenacious legend "Old Timer" Jeff King - someone Valentino wanted to literally learn the ropes from.
Samson has assured both Judge Black and Agent Lahart that although it's true, he once was a member of the "Moonshine Men of Appalachia", he has since severed ties with them and has gone completely straight - however Samson just isn't sure, if they bought it.
Nicholas Valentino defeated Jock Samson via Submission - with his punnishing CROSSFACE CHICKENWING finisher...
Nicholas Valentino - 0 Fatigue, Seemed To Love The Heat He Felt From The Crowd
Jock Samson - 1 Fatigue, Slightly Hungover
Jeff King - Watched From Ringside And Tried To Look Unimpressed At Valentino's Ability
The Crowd - Disgusted Ever Since Valentino Tried And Failed To Pin Samson Using The Ropes As Leverage, Someone Threw A Pair Of Glasses Into The Ring Next To The Referee
Fourth Attraction: ---------------------------------------
Mr. Scott Joplin entertained the respectively silent crowd with a beautiful piano composition entitled "Solace".
The crowd applauded quite loudly in response - and Joplin nodded his head while he raised his frothy mug of root beer to toast the crowd.
Once some of the crowd saw that The OWF was selling it's own root beer they made their up to our small concession booth which our own Bearded Lady graciously volunteered to run.
Our Fourth And Main Event Exhibition: -------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Old Timer" Jeff King vs "Burly" Bill Taylor:
Out of the eight wrestlers on the starting roster for The OWF, Jeff King is widely regarded as the most accomplished as well as THE man to beat - that is if you truly want to make a name for yourself in this sport.
Bill Taylor is a man well known in these parts because he always seems to be working somewhere, whether it's as a; bouncer, manual laborer, bare knuckle boxer, night watchman you name it - he's done it.
Matter of fact, there's been some talk that Bill is now working nights alongside Jock Samson in some venture - but no one seems to know specifically what it is - nor specifically - where - it is.
"Old Timer" Jeff King defeated "Burly" Bill Taylor via Submission - With his fourth and final BEAR HUG finisher of the exhibition...
Jeff King - 3 Fatigues, 1 Delayed Vertical Suplex That Forced Taylor To Regroup Outside The Ring, Won 1 Rigside Brawl Via Slamming Taylor's Head Into The Timekeepers Wooden Table, 1 Near Count Out - Powerbombed By Taylor Onto The Arena Floor Scattering Some Fans In The Front, Nasty Black Eye
Bill Taylor - 3 Fatigues, Won 1 Rigside Brawl Via Slamming King's Head Also Into The Timekeepers Wooden Table, 2 Successful Deathjumps, 1 Delayed Airplane Spin That Forced King To Regroup Outside Ring, Holds Ribs Now
Nicholas Valentino - Watched From Ringside And Looked Genuinely Impressed At King's Ability And Felt - Genuinely Jealous Of The Respect The Crowd Showed Him
The Crowd - Gave Both Wrestlers A Standing Ovation At A Main Event Which At Times Seemed As Though It Was Literally Going To Bring The House Down
The Town - The Buzz From This First Exhibition And In Particular This Main Event Drew The Attentions Of Many Folks And Was The Talk Of The Town - Including Some In Positions Of Power - And Some Who Were Hell Bent On Getting It.

Welcome back to the land of Olde, Bri! I have a hard time believing that Jock Samson's on the wagon...same for our esteemed Commish, Judge Black--especially after that loss to Felino Blanco! Always good to see Cymbal Monkey--he's definitely a crowd favorite! Any plans for Vintage Legends to make a "special appearance"? Keep up the good work, bro! Until "old Timer" Jeff King finds the fountain of youth, make mine Olde!
