Since late last year, I've had two heel stables feuding; Killer Kowalski and the Vachons versus Stan Hansen, Abdullah the Butcher, and The Baron. It all started when I need one more match at a ppv and had no ideas for Kowalski and Hansen so I put them against each other. They ended up having a war, so I decided to have the teams feud with each other, which continues to this day, where they've trades wins and stretchers.
Now I just have a slight problem. With the vintage guys coming in, I want to push The Terrible Turk and The Great Gama as a monster heel team. However, that's kind of difficult when both Kowalski and Hansen pretty much tower over both men. My solution is to keep the Vachons, Abdullah, and Baron but somehow remove Kowalski and Hansen from full time competition after the teams face each other one more time at my April ppv.
So my question is, how would I remove them from FT competition so the focus is on Gama and Turk as the main monsters? GM Teddy Long tends to have wrestlers fight in matches as opposed to suspending them, and injuries just mean they continue their war then they return. How do I separate them from the rest of the fed so the vintage guys can get their run?

I can't think of a way to get rid of both men but you could make a stipulation that the losing captain has to leave the promotion.

Book a big gimmick match and book an angle where both guys finally show one another respect, only to get attacked and taken out by their respective teams? Could do a loser leaves town match and gimmick it to where it ends in a non finish so both have to leave.

Kyoken has some good ideas for this question.
Perhaps also, one wrestler loses a loser leaves the fed match while the victor needs to take time off from suffering a storyline injury in the process of winning that match?

Loser leaves town. The winner's team turns on him for some reason and he has to be stretchered out.
My first impulse was an out of the ring incident like the Sid-Arn Anderson fight but I don't think I'd go that route.

BRO KOWALSKI WITH THE SAFETY SCISSORS LMAOOOOOOOOO I watched a shoot interview with Vader while my son was sick last week. Vader had to shove a finger into one of the stab wounds to keep Sid from bleeding out before the ambulance got there.

I might go with this idea. Then I’d add a new third man to the two teams, either someone from the vintage or Olde sets.

You could go for a Best of Seven or more Series. That will put them away for some Time. Maybe put together with the Loser leaves Fed. Then you have enough time to think about further Options

Thought I'd provide an update on this feud. I was leaning towards the advice in this thread and, interestingly enough, the dice agreed. In the weeks leading up to my ppv, I had the team members face each other in singles action.
The Baron defeated Kowalski in a Claw vs. Claw match. Mad Dog defeated Hansen. Butcher defeated Abdullah.
This set my plans into motion, but then things really got interesting at the ppv itself. It was the two teams facing each other in an elimination match. First, Abdullah got pinned by Kowalski. But then, one after another, Baron and the Vachons each got disqualified (and this was rolling twice each time). Finally, I decided to end the feud by having Kowalski vs. Hansen only end with a finisher. Hansen hit the Lariat and pinned Kowalksi. I then had them shake hands, only for Baron and the Vachons to attack them, forming a new stable.
Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with Abdullah. I'm thinking of having him join Gama and Turk but only temporarily since he doesn't really fit in. If we eventually gt The French Angel, he'll take Abdullah's place though.
