Listening now...
Talking about Bundy: we used to have a car show that came to the Fairgrounds each year (note Cory - where Freedom Hall is located). The Bundy card had just come out and I brought it to the show since Bundy had a booth.
His eyes lit up and said, “oh wow. You play Filsinger games? I really like the game and Tom is a great guy!”

Gable Steveson. Gee, his parents named him Gable, you think he had a choice but to be a wrestling prodigy?
Great discussion about how hard it was to make cards for these guys all those years ago. A lot of people don't even realize how limited footage was online at that time for any wrestler from before about 1984. We were still in tape trader era then. And well may be again here in the US (thanks to WWE and the bird).

So far I have listened to the first 45 minutes when I was at the gym earlier today.
Before I went to UNLV for graduate school, I attended Washington State University in Pullman, Washington for my undergraduate degree and I can confirm that Gonzaga- who Washington State played frequently in college basketball since Gonzaga is in Spokane, I even attended a 1996 NIT game where Washington State eliminated Gonzaga- is indeed pronounced Gonzaga just like you say zag as in zig zag.
I heard the part about the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff and I also remember back when they were two of the top heels in the WWF. In the game for me, together they had a solid 3-month reign as World Tag Team Champions and also a decent reign as my MLW Tag Team Champions (now a defunct championship) and the Iron Sheik individually has won both my EAWA Championship and has a record 3 reigns as my Brass Knuckles Champion.
I had to stop there because I have to catch a ride to go to the Strip for dinner before then going to an FSW show tonight, but I will definitely listen to the 2nd half of this show tomorrow.

Really enjoyed the podcast. I loved the history lesson and background behind the beginnings of LOW. Very interesting details about the first twelve, and I appreciate the passion behind each of the cards and their mechanics.
Wanted to give you kudos also for a conversation you all had on the differences between some of the variances between the art on some of the black and white versus the color and some unique mechanics in an earlier episode. I think it was about the Fritz Von Goering card. It convinced me to buy that original set to see for myself. You guys were right, and ,long story short, it hooked me on the Legends sets.

I went to high school with Mason Parris dad and know Mason a little bit. Too bad Gable Stevenson has his number. They've wrestled three times with Gable winning all three times. Kinda of nest though watching someone you know wrestle on ESPN.
