Excellent Night 1 event! Brutal cage match, good to see the Work Horsemen make a surprise appearance. Now just give me Cobb vs Something that is the Hoss fight i want to see! The cage match was really fun to roll and I don't see the loss slowing Reed down in getting some type of revenge sometime this summer.

Frontier Wrestling #7 presents 'The Memorial Cup: Night #2' 29 May 2021 ---The opener saw Mark Haskins go over Erick Stevens w/ the SHARPSHOOTER as the Frontier crowd has taken a liking to Haskins and his toughness persona. Stevens was having his way with Haskins when he went to toss him from the ring but Haskins 'skinned the cat', clipping the knee of Stevens when Haskins flung himself back in the ring. Stevens was having a lot of difficulty putting any weight on his leg. Haskins seized the advantage and locked on his finisher to advance to the semi-finals. ---Big slobber knocker as Jeff Cobb and Cowboy James Storm battered each other for over 10-minutes before Cobb was able to catch Storm coming off the ropes and plant him w/ TOUR OF THE ISLANDS for the win. Cobb goes on to face Haskins in the semis. --- Gary Jay took it to Jake Something early in their match but a timely distraction by Veda Scott allowed Something to low-blow Jay to take control of the match. MFKR soon followed and Jake advance to the semi-finals. --- Manders advances over Daniel Garcia who took a ton of punishment in this match. Manders hit Garcia with everything but the kitchen sink to win the match but Garcia kept kicking out. Finally, Manders was able to plant Garcia w/ a Tombstone Piledriver to advance to the semi-finals vs Jake Something. --- Deonna Purrazzo/Killer Kelly went over Jazz/Jordynne Grace when Grace submitted to Purrazzo's FUJIWARA ARMBAR. All four had a great showing but Grace set herself up for the finish as she missed Purrazzo on a clothesline attempt and struck the ring post. Shortly thereafter, Purrazzo locked in her finisher for the win. ....Intermission....

....And we are back from intermission.... --- Jeff Cobb goes over Mark Haskins when he catches Haskins coming off the ropes w/ TOUR OF THE ISLANDS to advance to the finals. Haskins has become a crowd favorite with his performance in the tourney and gets a standing ovation as he heads to the back. ---Big ol' hoss fight between Manders and Jake Something! The tide turned when Veda Scott got involved as usual; this time on the arena floor that allowed Jake to post Manders and seize control. Back in the ring, Jake drills a bloody Manders w/ a Corner Spear before hauling his hated nemesis up for the MFKR for the finish. Jake moves on to face Jeff Cobb in the finals. ---The Rip City Shooters take the challenge match win over the Work Horsemen after Joshua Bishop school boys Anthony Henry and holds Henry's tights to pick up the tainted win. All four were brawling in the ring prior to the finish. Wes Barkley gets dumped to the outside by Henry but Bishop sends JD Drake careening into Henry to set up the final sequence. --- Main Event: The Memorial Cup Finals/Frontier Championship: Jake Something and Jeff Cobb went after each other for almost 25-minutes in a slobber knocker of a match. As usual, Veda Scott tried to get involved but Manders came out and carried her to the back. This seemed to distract Jake, allowing Cobb to seize control of the match. Cobb would go on to impose his will on Jake but could not put him away. Even after a ring-shaking TOUR OF THE ISLANDS, Jake managed to get a shoulder up (P6: R6)!! A scuffle in the corner leads to a devastating low-blow by Jake and he nearly turned the Olympian inside out with a Lariat to the Back of the Head. Cobb countered a Fire Thunder Driver with a Delayed Suplex but Jake floated over and got a near fall w/ an Ode To Vader. A Something Bomb led directly into the MFKR for the finish, giving Jake the win, the Cup, and the title!!! Jake holds the Cup and the belt high as Veda and Josh Briggs join him in the ring as the crowd serenades the trio with jeers to close the show.

These two have had a long-standing, heated feud in my part of the FG universe and this match was no different. Deonna used her usual bag of illegal tactics to slow Jordynne down and goes on to win w/ Three Amigas. Jazz was out to prevent Deonna from any further shenanigans as we close the show.

An irate Purrazzo pulled Edith from the ring and posted her before Jazz tossed Deonna over the security railing. Back in the ring, Jazz planted Edith with a Sit-Out Powerslam before locking on the STF for the finish. Afterwards, Deonna attacked Jazz as soon as the referee called for the bell and locked Jazz in the FUJIWARA ARMBAR. Deonna held the move for well over a minute before Edith recovered enough to chase Deonna from the ring. ---in the Main Event for the Frontier Championship, Jake Something w/ Veda Scott retains over Mark Haskins in his V1 defense w/ the MKFR. Josh Briggs jumped Haskins as he was walking to the ring, hitting M6 on the ramp way. Haskins was in a bad way even before the match began but had several moments where he rallied back. However, the champion proved to much to overcome on this night as Jake planted Mark w/ the MFKR for the finish. Afterwards, Josh Briggs came out for a 2-on-1 beatdown of Haskins as Veda taunted the fans, asking if this was their impressive hero. Manders and Mance Warner ran out but Warner gets taken out by 'Dirty' Andy Dalton with a steel chair. Something turns his attention to Manders as he drops Manders with a forehead-splitting belt shot. Finally, all three turn back to Haskins, giving him a Spike Piledriver on a steel chair. Security and several wrestlers hit the ring to prevent any further damage as Haskins does the stretcher job to close the show.
