'Memorial Cup 2022: Night #1'
Frontier #26; Nashville Fairgrounds; Nashville, TN; 27 May 2022

---We dive right into the tournament as Calvin Tankman takes Jordan Oliver behind the woodshed and wears him out. Oliver never got any offense going as Tankman finishes the match w/ the TANKMAN DRIVER.


---KTB advances over Eddie Kingston w/ Lost in the Moss in a hard-hitting bout.


---Hernandez and Trevor Lee go back and forth in a great bout before Hernandez hits Lee w/ a huge Sit-Out Powerbomb for the finish.


---Tag team partners go at it in our next bout as Lance Hoyt battled Davey Boy Smith Jr. Hoyt & Jr didn't disappoint nor did they hold back from hitting each other with big move after big move before Hoyt hits DARK DAYS to end the match. Hoyt & Jr shake hands afterwards as the crowd gives them a standing ovation.


---Chris Masters thought he could manhandle Tyler Bate but Bate broke out of the Masterlock Challenge and gets a big near fall w/ a Rebound Lariat. Masters tried to bully Bate but Tyler used his agility advantage to keep Masters at bay for most of the match. The finish came as they traded a series of small packages before Masters grabbed the ropes for the extra leverage to pin Tyler and advance to the quarterfinals.


---Keith Lee vs James Drake is next as Lee never was in any danger of losing the match. Keith hits the SPIRIT BOMB to advance to the quarterfinals against Chris Masters.


---Bandido vs Rush was quite a show as the fans got their moneys worth for this match. The foes go back and forth with near fall after near fall before Bandido ends it when he catches Rush coming off the ropes and transitions into a West Knee for the finish. Final token tally: Bandido 5; Rush 6.


---In the main event, Tom Lawlor & Timothy Thatcher put on a grappling clinic before Lawlor downs Thatcher w/ the MASTER BLASTER to advance to the quarterfinals against Bandido.

....Night #2 will feature the Memorial Cup quarterfinals; plus, Austin Aries will defend the Frontier Middleweight Championship against Jonathan Gresham & Shane Strickland and Daniel Garcia/Myron Reed will battle AC Mack/Christian Cassanova. The main event will see lots of bloodshed as War Beast defend the Frontier Tag Team Championship against the Briscoes inside a Steel Cage....

'Memorial Cup 2022: Night #2'
Frontier #27; Nashville Fairgrounds; Nashville, TN; 28 May 2022

---The opener is for the Frontier Middleweight Championship as Austin Aries (c) takes on Shane Strickland & Jonathan Gresham in a 1-Fall match. The finish comes as Gresham had been tossed to the floor and Aries nails Strickland w/ a Death Valley Driver. Aries climbs the ropes for the 450 SPLASH but Gresham body blocks Aries as he's attempting the move, sending the champion screening through the ropes, hitting hard on the floor. Gresham turns around right into the JML DRIVER, giving Strickland the win and the title. New Champion!!



---AC Mack/Christian Cassanova over Daniel Garcia/Myron Reed after Mack catches Garcia w/ the MACK 10 in a good bout. Afterwards, Myron Reed destroys Garcia with a steel chair, telling him that he doesn't associate with losers.



---Memorial Cup Quarterfinal: In a great bout, 'Filthy' Tom Lawlor advances over Bandido after catching Bandido with a huge Running Lariat out of the corner.



---Memorial Cup Quarterfinal: Keith Lee advances over Chris Masters by DQ after Masters blasts Keith with a steel chair outside of the ring. Masters locks in the MASTERLOCK to add insult to injury before the locker room empties to break up the attack. Keith will meet Tom Lawlor in the Semi-Finals at Night #3.



---Memorial Cup Quarterfinal: KTB over Calvin Tankman in a match that was marred with interference. Manders came down to ringside to taunt Calvin during the match and as the referee was busy trying to get Manders to the back; Mad Man Pondo shows up at ringside and smashes Tankman with a Cinder Block!! Tankman goes down in a heap, the ref hustles Pondo to the back, giving Manders time to deliver a brutal LARIAT. Back in the ring, KTB hits GO TO BEAST to finally finish Calvin off.

Afterwards, Manders & Pondo hit the ring to continue their attack on Calvin but a huge, hulking giant of a man storms the ring to save Calvin. EJ Nduka has arrived in Frontier.



---Memorial Cup Quarterfinal: Hernandez & Lance Hoyt went at each other with reckless abandon before Hernandez got the win w/ Crackerjack, advancing to the Semi-Finals to face KTB.



---Main Event: Steel Cage: Frontier Tag Team Championship: War Beast (c) & The Briscoes went to war in this one!! Both team ended up bloody and bruised as the mat was just stained with blood in multiple places. All four took turns grinding their opponents' faces into the steel mesh. Josef Samael brought out his trusty railroad spike but the Briscoes brought their own barbed chicken wire to do damage as well.

The Briscoes hit Jacob Fatu w/ the DOOMSDAY DEVICE by Samael broke up the pin. Samael had Mark locked in the CAMEL CLUTCH until Jay nails Josef w/ a Yakuza Kick to break up the hold. The finish came as all four were down in the ring before Fatu managed to pull himself up to the top turnbuckle and delivery crushing BEST SAMOAN MOONSAULT EVER on Jay to retain the titles. All four had to be helped to the back to end the show. Great match!!

....Night #3 will feature the semi-finals & finals of the Memorial Cup plus, Jake Something will defend the Frontier title in a Triple Threat Deathmatch against Nick Gage & Alex Colon. Also, scheduled, Charlie Morgan makes her V1 defense vs Gisele Shaw; Tasha Steelz/Kiera Hogan will battle Masha Slamovich/Leyla Hirsch; and the Von Erichs vs 5150 vs Bear Country vs Aussie Open vs The North in a Tag Team Sole Survivor match....

---The opener sees Masha Slamovich/Leyla Hirsch get the win over Tasha Steelz/Kiera Hogan after Masha takes Steelz down w/ the WHITE KNIGHT DRIVER. Afterwards, Masha claimed victory & declared her feud with Tasha was over.



---Memorial Cup Semi-Final: Keith Lee advances to the finals over Tom Lawlor w/ the SPIRIT BOMB in a good, hard-hitting matchup.



---Memorial Cup Semi-Final: KTB over Hernandez w/ GO TO BEAST in another excellent 'hoss' matchup. KTB will face Keith Lee in the finals.



---Tag Team Sole Survivor: The Von Erichs vs 5150 vs Aussie Open vs Bear Country vs The North

Von Erichs over Aussie Open when they hit Mark Davis w/ the IRON CLAW/BACK SUPLEX combo.

5150 over Bear Country when they hit Bear Bronson w/ 456 HEAD CRACK.

5150 over The North when they hit Street Sweeper on Ethan Page

Von Erichs over 5150 after they put Slice Boogie down w/ the IRON CLAW/BACK SUPLEX combo.

Winner: The Von Erichs, who will get a tag title shot against War Beast (c) at the 10 June edition of 'Friday Night Fights'.



---Death Match: Frontier Championship: Jake Something (c) w/ Veda Scott retains over Nick Gage & Alex Colon after driving Gage through two panes of glass set up between two chairs w/ the MFKR. Big time atmosphere for this match and it did not disappoint. All three were bloody about 10-minutes in as Gage used the pizza cutter on both Something & Colon. Colon would get a big near fall on Something w/ a Double Stomp through a table and on Gage w/ the TOP ROPE BELLY-TO BACK INVERTED SLAM but that pin was broken up by the champion.

The finish came as Colon was setting Something up for another Double Stomp but Gage pulled Colon off the ropes and folded him in half w/ the PILEDRIVER. However, Something was again able to break up the pinfall. Something & Gage were slugging it out when Something reversed a Superplex and put Nick through the panes of glass with his finisher. This was Something's V12 defense of the title and marks his 1-year mark of being the Frontier champion.



---Frontier Women's Championship: Charlie Morgan (c) retains over Giesele Shaw, winning w/ ACES OVER in a good bout.



---Main Event: Memorial Cup Finals: In what turned out to be a great match, Keith Lee wins the Cup over KTB after hitting GROUND ZERO for the finish. It took two SPIRIT BOMBS before GROUND ZERO put KTB down for good.

Afterwards, Keith was presented with the trophy and will get his automatic title shot against Jake Something at 'Red, White, & Bruise July 4th weekend.

---Calvin Tankman over Mad Man Pondo by DQ after Pondo attacks Calvin w/ his saw bat. EJ Nduka hits the ring to help Tankman but nearly gets crushed as Manders catches him w/ a reverse LARIAT. The locker room empties to stop the attack. Once the ring clears, Calvin/EJ challenge Manders/Pondo to a Tag Team Death Match at 'Red, White, & Bruise 22'.



---Main Event: Frontier Tag Team Championship: The Von Erichs take the titles from War Beast (c) after they drop Josef Samael w/ the IRON CLAW/BACK SUPLEX combo. Great match as Marshall Von Erich and Samael wore the crimson mask. New Champions.

---5150 over Mustache Mountain when they hit 456 HEAD CRACK on Trent Seven. Afterwards, Danny Limelight called out the Von Erichs for a title match.



---Falls Count Anywhere: Daniel Garcia tapped out Myron Reed with a Crossface on the ramp way. Garcia put Reed's head/neck and right arm through the opening of a steel chair and applied the Crossface for the finish.



---Death Match: Nick Gage over Alex Colon in a bloody war after Gage drops Alex through a table loaded with light tubes w/ the PILEDRIVER.



---After brief intermission to change the mat and clean up the glass around ringside, Angelina Love/Mandy Leo go over Thunder Rosa/Holidead after Mandy hits Rosa w/ ASTRAL PROJECTION.



---Frontier Middleweight Championship: Shane Strickland (c) retains over Alex Zayne after landing the JML DRIVER in his V1 defense.



---Frontier Women's Championship: Charlie Morgan (c) retains over Ivelisse, winning w/ a Springboard Cross Body & a handful of tights out of sight of the referee.



---Death Match: Calvin Tankman/EJ Nduka over Manders/Madman Pondo after Nduka puts Pondo through a table w/ the VERDICT. Tankman & Manders really went after each other in this match. With Manders & Calvin still battling on the floor, KTB hit the ring and caught Nduka w/ a ring-shaking Beasthammer. Manders joined the beatdown as did the now recovered Pondo.

Matthew Justice hit the ring and took a steel chair from Manders, saying he wanted in on the fun. However, Justice nearly crushed Pondo with the chair and chased the heels from the ring with Calvin's help. Manders grabbed the house mike and promised Justice would get what's coming to him.



---Main Event: Frontier Championship: Jake Something (c) (*****) w/ Veda Scott retained over Keith Lee (*****) in his V13 defense, winning w/ MFKR in a great match. In a show sportsmanship that the fans ate up, the two shook hands to end the show.

....Matthew Justice comes out with Calvin Tankman & EJ Nduka to start the show....Tankman & Nduka shake Justice's hand for intervening in the beatdown from Manders/Madman Pondo/KTB at 'RW&B'....They get interrupted by the heel trio who challenge them to a 6-man match right here....right now....

---Calvin Tankman/EJ Nduka/Matthew Justice over Manders/Madman Pondo/KTB by DQ after Chris Masters gets involved on behalf of the heels by smashing Justice with a steel chair. With Justice down, the heels turn their attention to Tankman & Nduka before Keith Lee races too the ring to a loud roar from the crowd.

The four heels admire their handy work from the ramp way before Tankman grabs the house mike; saying all four in the ring have been jumped from behind by a variation of the four standing on the ramp way since Memorial Day weekend. Tankman says enough is enough and there is only one way to settle this....the cage match to end all cage matches....at 'Black & Bruise' during Labor Day weekend, it all ends at....

---Alex Kane dominates Effy, winning w/ the MARK OF KANE in under 5-minutes.



---Angelina Love over Hyan in a **** battle that saw Love put Hyan down with consecutive Codebreakers. Love is the new Women's title #1 contender.



---In the Main Event for the Frontier Tag Team Championship, the Von Erichs (c) retain over War Beast in a bloody war! All four combined for 19 pin tokens before the Von Erichs put Josef Samael (******) away w/ the IRON CLAW/BACK SUPLEX combo.

The Von Erichs were barely able to stand as they got their hands raised when they were jumped by 5150. Limelight/Boogie hit both Von Erichs w/ the 456 HEAD CRACK and stand over the fallen champs, holding the belts high to end the show.

---Keith Lee is out to open the show and challenges Chris Masters to come out and fight him one on one....man to man. Masters saunters out and Lee goes right at him. A big brawl breaks out as the referee calls for the bell to start the match.

Chris Masters gets the duke after blasting Keith Lee with a pair of brass knux as Manders distracts the referee. Lee is easy pickings for the MASTERLOCK to give Masters the win.



---Ross Von Erich over Danny Limelight after Limelight submits to the IRON CLAW in a good bout. These two will meet again Labor Day Weekend as the Von Erichs defend the tag titles against 5150.



---The Outlaws w/ Hernandez go over the Rip City Shooters when Kingston drops Wes Barkley w/ BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE. Afterwards, Hernandez makes an open challenge for any 3 wrestlers to meet them at 'Black & Blue II.'



---In the Main Event for the Frontier Women's Championship, Charlie Morgan (c) (****) retains over Angelina Love (*****) in a great bout, winning w/ ACES OVER.
