Pacific Wrestling Club 1.4 Japan 1. Ron Hutchison vs. Evan Lewis Lewis dominated Hutch early on. Hutch hit an upper body throw against the ropes and covered Lewis for a two count. Lewis recovered and hit a crotch lift and body slam for the win.
Winner - Evan Lewis by pinfall
2. Rod Fenton vs. Lou Thesz Fenton got the early advantage but Thesz grew tired of his illegal tactics and dropped him on his head with the Greco-Roman backdrop for the win.

3. Ed Lewis vs. Nikolai Volkoff Lewis focused on Volkoff’s arm early on. Volkoff tried to mount a comeback but Lewis drilled him with a wild punch in the corner for a two count. Lewis hit the Strangler’s Headlock for the win.

4. Angelo Poffo vs. Lou Albano Albano spat in Poffo’s face at the opening bell. Poffo quickly took Albando to the mat and nailed him with a neckbreaker for the win.

5. Giant Baba vs. Bobby Heenan Heenan tried to go toe to toe with Baba in the early minutes but Baba’s size and strength advantage was too much to overcome. Baba drilled Heenan with a boot to the face and Heenan tumbled out of the ring. Heenan barely made his way back into the ring before the ten count. Heenan tried making a comeback but Baba shut him down and hit the neckbreaker drop for the win.

6. Rikidozan vs. Dick Hutton - ⅔ Falls for the Pacific Heavyweight title Rikidozan and Hutton battled back and forth. Hutton hit a crotch lift and slam after a clinch in the ropes. Rikidozan and Hutton clinched in the ropes a second time and Hutton shoved Rikidozan threw the ropes and out to the floor. The referee warned Hutton and Rikidozan lit him up with chops. Rikidozan chopped Hutton from one side of the ring to the other and Hutton tumbled between the ropes and lay panting on the floor while the referee began the ten count. Hutton rolled back into the ring at nine.
Rikidozan hit a double leg takedown and locked on the Boston Crab but Hutton forced a rope break. Rikidozan rocked Hutton with Thunderous Chops and made the cover but Hutton kicked out. Rikidozan and Dick Hutton tumbled out of the ring and lit each other up with hard strikes. The referee disqualified Hutton, awarding the first fall to Rikidozan.
After a two minute rest period, the second fall began. Hutton bullied Rikidozan toward the ropes. Rikidozan exploded out of the clinch with a series of chops. Hutton and Rikidozan battled back and forth. Rikidozan hit a slap in the chest that could be heard throughout the arena and covered Hutton for a two count. Rikdozan locked on a Boston Crab but Hutton fought his way to the ropes. Rikidozan nailed Hutton with a forearm hammer and made the cover but Hutton kicked out. Hutton rallied and got a two count after a scoop slam. Rikidozan made a comeback and blasted Hutton with Thunderous Chops for a two count. Rikidozan hooked Hutton and hit the hiplock to take the second fall.
Winner - Rikidozan by pinfall to retain the Pacific Heavyweight title.

Great win for Rikidozan... Baba will be a challenge! If Rikidozan can stay away from the Neckbreaker Drop, he'll be fine, I think. I'm wondering how long I can sustain this vintage, sports-based fed. I might play through the first season and shelf it until we get a few more vintage style guys to work in.
