BDW on IWTV: Here We Are Now... 04.04.2021 from Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
Allie Kat vs. Curt Stallion Allie Kat defeated Curt Stallion with a hip attack at 8:34 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Stallion told Allie to go do his dishes before the ring bell... Not the best move as the crowd pelted him with boos, and he began laughing at them. Allie Kat, undeterred, launched herself at Curt with a Shining Kitty, but Curt moved and hit a big German Suplex as the bell rang.
Allie Kat came roaring back and began punishing Stallion. She hit him with just about everything she had, including two PUSSYCAT PILEDRIVERs, but Stallion wouldn't stay down.
He rallied back with a seated double stomp for a near fall but crashed and burned on a suicide dive attempt. He came up bleeding, and Allie Kat hit a pump kick and nearly scored a count-out.
The bleeding Stallion came in and was met with a big hip attack for the 1, 2, 3.
Allie Kat certainly made him eat his words and moves on to the semi-finals!
AJ Gray vs. Effy AJ Gray defeated Effy with a DQ at 14:13 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: These two had a great match. Effy came on strong early and nearly put Gray away with a Ruff Rider - twice!
But Gray battled back and put the hurt on Effy. He even hit the EMERALD FLOWSION, but Effy kicked out!
The action spilled outside, and Effy - hurting and disoriented - hit Gray with a chair, and the ref DQ'd him!
Not the way either wanted this to end, and the fans weren't happy either. Effy tried to plead his case, but the ref stood by the decision.
Daniel Garcia vs. Joshua Bishop Daniel Garcia defeated Joshua Bishop with a BRIDGING SHARPSHOOTER at 3:02 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This was an explosive contest. Garcia went for the leg early, but Bishop countered with strikes and then backed Garcia, dazed, into the corner. AVALANCHE CRUCIFIX POWERBOMB! But Garcia kicked out!
The action spilled outside, and Garcia smashed Bishop back first into the post and then kicked a folding chair into Bishop's knee. Bishop yelled in pain, and Red Death was like a shark. He rolled Bishop in, applied a BRIDGING SHARPSHOOTER, and got an immediate tap out!
Christian Casanova vs. Matthew Justice Matthew Justice defeated Christian Casanova with a BALCONY DIVE at 3:37 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Casanova started things off strong, but Justice quickly rallied with a pair of jackhammers. Things eventually spilled out, and Casanova was in big trouble. Justice came off the ring apron with a big clothesline. Justice then ran up the stairs to the balcony, and as Casanova got to his feet, Justice leaped off with a huge dive! As the chants died down and Justice shook off his own set of cobwebs, he rolled a barely conscious Casanova in for a convincing 1, 2, 3.
Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku vs. Revolt! Zane Riley defeated Dominic Garrini with a DQ at 5:40 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Garrini took things to the mat on Konley early. He was clearly looking to choke him out or at least wear him down. He tagged Ku in, but they mistimed a double-team, and Riley came in to even the score. It didn't last, though, and a PILEDRIVER & PUNT KICK nearly spelled doom for the Revolt!
Konley made the save, and a fired-up Garrini took the match outside. Things fell apart, unfortunately, and the raucous crowd was none too happy to be treated to another DQ when Garrini waffled Riley with a chair.
Riley was busted open! The ref made the call, and no one was happy about it... Except maybe the barely conscious Zane Riley.
Mike Bailey vs. Laredo Kid Laredo Kid defeated Mike Bailey with a LAREDO FLY at 21:00 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: What a show-stealing bout! After jockeying for position early, Kid took over and used a dazzling array of high-impact and high-flying moves to have Bailey on the ropes. A satellite DDT scored a near fall early, but Bailey was nothing if not resilient.
Bailey mounted a big comeback and hit the ULTIMA WEAPON and a FLAMINGO DRIVER! But somehow, Laredo Kid kicked out!
They exchanged strikes and moves, with both men feeling the effects of the match's earlier moments. They see-sawed until another big satellite DDT floored Bailey and Kid hit a missile dropkick to set up the LAREDO FLY for the hard-fought 1, 2, 3!
Incredible match! Bailey will definitely still be on the hunt even after suffering this loss. We anticipated this match to be something special, and it did not disappoint. Laredo Kid moves on.
Chris Dickinson vs. Blake Christian Chris Dickinson defeated Blake Christian with a BRAIN EATER at 3:58 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: This started great for Christian. They jockeyed early, but Christian hit a basement 619 that firmly put him in control. A big powerslam led to a lionsault, and when Dickinson rolled out, Christian made sure it was no safe place to hide - hitting a huge plancha!
Back inside, Christian went up top, but Dickinson was able to toss him from the top and then follow up with the BRAIN EATER to get the win out of nowhere!
The Besties in the World vs. Aussie Open Davey Vega defeated Mark Davis with a BRAIN DAMAGE at 5:33 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The finish was somewhat sudden, but what preceded was something special.
Fitchett took a beating at the hands of Aussie Open but rallied with a shotgun dropkick on Fletcher. A quick tag brought Davis back in, and he and Fitchett chain wrestled until Davis went careening out of the ring after missing a charge into the corner. Fitchett then hit a big dive, rolled Davis in, made the tag - finally - to Vega, and they hit BRAIN DAMAGE! Fitchett knocked Fletcher to the ground, and the Besties scored a big win to advance!
That brings "Here We Are Now..." to a close! BDW on IWTV will return with "Entertain Us!" to crown the Outlaw Spirit Champion and the Tag Team Champions!
AC Mack vs. Erick Stevens Erick Stevens defeated AC Mack with a SARASOTA SCREWDRIVER at 27:18 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Incredible match. Mack threw everything he had at Stevens, but the veteran kept coming back. Multiple near falls on both sides and lots of big moves. Towards the end, there was even a bit of brawling outside the ring. Stevens was explosive when he needed to halt Mack's momentum, but Mack was relentless in his assault on Stevens.
The finish encapsulated the match as a whole. Mack was firmly in charge; Stevens exploded out of the corner with a lariat for a two and 9/10 count! But Mack came back briefly, then Stevens his a huge rolling elbow and the SARASOTA SCREWDRIVER to get the 1, 2, 3!
Standing O after the match. A stone-cold classic.
[Stevens - 2 tokens, Mack. - 3 tokens]
1 Called Manders vs. TomLawlor 1 Called Manders defeated Tom Lawlor with a LARIAT at 23:18 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Another incredible bout to end BDW's "Here We Are Now..."! Manders took advantage of an early misstep to put an all-out assault on Lawlor. He scored a couple of near falls with the LARIAT. Lawlor mounted a big comeback, though, and hit the REAR NAKED CHOKE seemingly out of nowhere!
Manders struggled to get back in the match as Lawlor unleashed his biggest moves - an array of suplexes and the Cleveland Steamer '18.
Eventually, they started see-sawing after each of their sustained offenses. Lawlor applied another REAR NAKED CHOKE, but Manders reached the ropes. Lawlor was undeterred and then hit the MASTER BLASTER but only got a 2!
Manders was all but out of this match but refused to quit. Lawlor went up top, and Manders saw his opening. He clubbed Lawlor to the mat, hit a Saito suplex, and then rallied for a final bone-shaking LARIAT for the 1, 2, 3!
BDW is back and better than ever!
[Manders - 3 tokens, Lawlor - 3 tokens]

Sam Fain, it looks like this was a good show with some great matches. It is cool that Logan Square was the venue where me and you saw AAW. I can definitely picture Matthew Justice hitting his BALCONY DIVE from the balcony of Loggan Square to defeat Blake Christian as he did on your show. Looking forward to more results!

Thanks, Vegas! It's funny, while I was rolling the card - and for the Justice/Casanova match in particular - I was thinking of that time too. I've been to a lot of AAW shows there, but I felt like our seats were some of the best I've ever had there and I always sat front row, so it wasn't just that. I'll be bringing more BDW soon. We'll crown the first Outlaw Spirit and tag champs and hopefully set the table for what's coming next!

BDW takes the Windy City by storm... Those last two matches were especially thrilling... Manders has gotta be looking like a serious favorite after knocking Filthy Tom out of the tourney... But, I'm kinda hoping Erick Stevens becomes the inaugural Outlaw Spirit champ... Regardless of who ultimately emerges at the top, this first show was tons of fun and I'm looking forward to more!

BDW on IWTV: Entertain Us! 04.07.2021 from Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
- Outlaw Spirit Quarterfinals - Laredo Kid vs. Matthew Justice Matthew Justice defeated Laredo Kid with a BRISK BOMB at 2:40 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Welp... Matthew Justice doesn't get paid by the hour. Kid came on strong in the opening exchange, but Justice his a big headbutt and followed with a jackhammer. He then hit a big running knee strike and followed it with an AWESOME SPLASH and a BRISK BOMB for the win. Justice has looked like a beast in his first two matches. He moves on to the semifinals.
- Outlaw Spirit Quarterfinals - Chris Dickinson vs. Daniel Garcia Daniel Garcia defeated Chris Dickinson with a SHARPSHOOTER at 14:22 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: This was a match that a lot of fans were looking forward to when announced and it didn't disappoint.
Garcia approached Dickinson methodically in the opening moments, but Dickinson came back after having his leg and ankle worked over to deliver some huge moves and score a near fall after a tornado enzugiri.
Things spilled outside and Garcia was able to take over with some stiff strikes and rammed Dickinson spine-first into the post. A SHARPSHOOTER nearly spelled the end, but Dickinson made the ropes. Garcia didn't let up and threw everything in his considerable arsenal at his opponent. A rear naked choke didn't get it done, a shining wizard didn't get it done.
Dickinson came back. but Garcia was one step ahead and hit a sitout powerbomb out of nowhere. After continuing to punish and stretch Dickinson, Garcia finally put him away with another SHARPSHOOTER. Great match and Garcia looks good heading into the semifinals.
- Outlaw Spirit Quarterfinals - AJ Gray vs. Erick Stevens AJ Gray defeated Erick Stevens with a top rope leg drop at 6:52 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: These two went move-for-move and hold-for-hold. Gray hit a big CHOPPED N SCREWED early on, and Stevens never fully shook the effects.
Stevens would rally and the battle see-sawed as both men did all they could to put the other away. Suddenly, Gray hit a spinning wheel kick out of nowhere and then a big top rope leg drop for a shocking 1, 2, 3!
Big win and the disappointment is palpable as Stevens deals with the loss.
- Outlaw Spirit Quarterfinals - 1 Called Manders vs. Allie Kat Allie Kat defeated 1 Called Manders with a flash pin at 4:48 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Upset city! Allie attacked with a shining wizard at the bell and never looking back. She gave Manders everything she had, and just when it looked like Manders would take over with ease after a cowbell shot, she grabbed a flash pinning combo off the ropes and scored a 1, 2, 3!
Manders was shocked! Allie was shocked! The fans ate it up, and Allie Kat moves on to the semifinals!
- BDW Tag Team Semifinals - Revolt! vs. The Besties in the World Mat Fichett defeated Caleb Konley with a BRAIN DAMAGE at 9:39 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Fitchett and Konley chain wrestled to start things off, but a well-timed tag saw the Besties hit a giant swing and SSP to take control. The Besties worked the tag to keep Konley back-pedaling.
Everything changed course, though, when the action spilled outside, and Revolt scored with a suicide dive and powerbomb on the floor! Fitchett was in a bad way but somehow made the desperation tag shortly after, and Vega unloaded on Konley.
The Besties kept the pressure on and eventually hit BRAIN DAMAGE for the victory. The Besties In The World are in the finals for the BDW Tag Team titles!
- BDW Tag Team Semifinals - The Wildcards vs. Bear Country Bear Bronson defeated Royce Isaacs with a DQ at 10:39 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: This was shaping up to be tag team perfection. Both teams jockeyed for position early on, but the Wild Cards seemed to have the advantage. Lots of great tag work and double-teaming. The pendulum of momentum shifted readily, but always seemed to find its way back to Latimer and Isaacs.
Until, that is, Bear Boulder exploded with some offense and hit a BEARSAULT for a near fall! He immediately made the tag for the ELEVATOR DROP! But Isaacs kicked out!
Another quick tag for Bear Trap and Isaacs rolled out... Boulder followed and was met with a chair shot! The ref saw it in spite of Latimer trying to get his attention and that was that!
Bear Country moves on via DQ! The Wild Cards look to continue the fight, but Bronson comes to his partner's aid with a chair of his own to even the odds.
- Outlaw Spirit Semifinals - AJ Gray vs. Daniel Garcia AJ Gray defeated Daniel Garcia with an EMERALD FLOWSION at 6:45 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Some great back and forth action in the early going until Garcia took over and applied a SHARPSHOOTER that nearly ended it.
Gray came right back, though, and hit two EMERALD FLOWSIONs in a row to score the win. While not an upset by any means, it was still a surprising end for Garcia.
AJ Gray has punched his ticket to the finals!
- Outlaw Spirit Semifinals - Allie Kat vs. Matthew Justice Matthew Justice defeated Allie Kat with a jackhammer at 3:00 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Allie Kat tried to use similar tactics to her earlier bout with Manders, but Justice was ready for her. Though she fought valiantly and hit some big offense, Justice bounced back and would hit a few moves leading to a jackhammer to move on to the finals!
- BDW Tag Team Finals - The Besties in the World vs. Bear Country for the BDW Tag Team Championship Davey Vega defeated Bear Boulder with a BRAIN DAMAGE at 20:51 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: After sustaining a beating, Fitchett rallies back and made a tag to Vega. From there, Bear Country struggled to sustain any offense. The Besties kept the pressure on and Fitchett impressed with a big dive on Boulder. In fact, as bad as Boulder laid out Fitchett in the first quarter of the bout, the Besties dismantled Boulder in the second half.
The final stretch saw Vega and Fitchett work some amazing double-team moves that all built up to a second BRAIN DAMAGE for the 1, 2, 3!
The Besties In The World are your new BDW Tag Team Champions!
Wait a minute... The Rip City Shooters, Joshua Bishop and Wes Barkley are here! They enter the ring and begin beating down the Besties! Bear Country can't do much to help and Soon Bishop and Barkley are standing tall and cocky in the ring... Wait! Here comes Revolt! Konley and Riley are able to run the Rip City Shooters off and help the Besties to their feet. Konley hands them their new belts and then they leave the ring to let Vega and Fitchett have a moment.
The Besties in the World won the BDW Tag Team Championship
- Outlaw Spirit Finals - AJ Gray vs. Matthew Justice for the BDW Outlaw Spirit Championship Matthew Justice defeated AJ Gray with an AWESOME SPLASH at 24:25 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: This match was a banger! They exchanged strikes early, but Justice scored with a headbutt and a running knee and looked to score an early win like his other matches! He hit the DVD for a near fall! Gray was in big trouble, but the match spilled outside, and Gray was able to snatch the advantage and begin building momentum. He scored his own near fall with a German suplex.
The action went back and forth in and out of the ring and had the fans at fever pitch. Gray was busted open after some brawling on the outside! He dug deep, and the pendulum swung his way big time!
He took Justice's head off with a big lariat and scored another near fall. Justice came back and tried to wipe the cobwebs away only to crash and burn when Gray moved out of the way of a sick dive! Justice was in trouble, and Gray hit his own dive that sent Justice crashing into chairs!
Justice was busted open now! Both men, bleeding, took things back inside, and it looked like AJ Gray would secure the win, but Justice hit a DVD out of nowhere! Gray kicked out!
Another DVD! Another kick out! Justice can't believe it! Justice goes up top... AWESOME SPLASH!
1, 2, 3! What a f'ing match!
Matthew Justice is your BDW Outlaw Spirit Champion!
