Matthew Justice is a great first champion as he showed he can overcome anyone! AJ Gray and Allie Cat had fantastic showings as well, and I see them being big players in your fed going forward. I did not think they could do it, but the Besties won the tag team gold! But, now it seems that everyone is gunning for the titles, so it will be great to see how they defend against such teams! Great job and keep it up!

Thanks for all the comments! Justice definitely ran through the competition in such a fashion that he seemed the odds on favorite to win the title. Now the question is: how long can he reign? Toying with some ideas on how to continue the presentation of the fed, but the next card should be coming in hot with a lineup like this: BDW on IWTV: Come As You Are 04.16.2021 from Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
Blake Christian vs. Christian Casanova - Revolt! vs. Bear Country - AC Mack vs. Tom Lawlor - Chris Dickinson vs. Laredo Kid - 1 Called Manders and Mance Warner vs. Allie Kat and Effy - Daniel Garcia vs. Erick Stevens - MAIN EVENT The Besties in the World and AJ Gray vs. Joshua Bishop, Wes Barkley, and Matthew Justice

BDW on IWTV: Come As You Are 04.16.2021 from Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
- Show Open - Bandit Dragon Wrestling ring announcer Bobby Cruise makes a few key announcements at the top of the show.
Chief among them is the introduction of the relegation concept. A wrestler or team that accrues 3 non-main event losses in a row will be relegated for the rest of the cycle. Each cycle is one year or 16 shows.
Occasionally there will be special “relegation” matches either by directive of the promoter or as a special challenge - the loser is relegated.
Any wrestler or team that accrues 3 consecutive wins, however, will be granted a spirit token. A spirit token may be cashed in for a match of their choosing on the next card - including a title shot!
Trios matches are the only matches that do not accrue normal losses for participants, though a trios match can be turned into a relegation challenge at the promoter’s discretion.
Title shots may also be determined by #1 contender matches at the discretion of the promoter.
As such, tonight’s semi-main event between Daniel Garcia and Erick Stevens is a #1 Contender’s match! The winner will challenge Matthew Justice at the next card, Lithium. As if that’s not enough, the tag team match between Revolt and Bear Country will also be for a title shot at the Besties in the World!
And NOW! The Road... is... open!
Blake Christian vs. Christian Casanova Blake Christian defeated Christian Casanova with an ELIA at 9:40 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: These two were so evenly matched and volleyed back and forth for the first half of the match. Blake was able to hit the powerslam and moonsault combo seemingly out of nowhere and the complexion of the match completely changed.
Blake took the fight to Casanova and wowed the crowd with a springboard 450 and then the HEART BLAKE DDT for a near fall.
Casanova was resilient but Blake followed up an earlier plancha from Casanova with a huge springboard moonsault that creamed Casanova.
It was mostly elementary from there and pair of meteoras led to the ELIA - a twisting splash - for the 1, 2, 3.
Revolt! vs. Bear Country Bear Bronson defeated Zane Riley with an ELEVATOR DROP at 5:28 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Lots of action in spite of the length. Both teams worked really well together and it could've been anyone's match, but it came down to Bear Country utilizing the ref and distraction to their advantage. Konley attempted to break up a pin and when he did the ref escorted him to the apron, meanwhile - without a tag - Bear Country hit a second ELEVATOR DROP to score a convincing 1, 2, 3 on Riley.
Bear Country has just punched their ticket to tag a title match on the next card! Revolt, on the other hand, may find themselves in danger of relegation...
AC Mack vs. TomLawlor TomLawlor defeated AC Mack with a discus clothesline at 22:44 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Incredible match between two standout competitors. The action went back and forth nearly the entire match. Mack tried to use high-impact maneuvers and his slight edge in speed to rock Lawlor whenever he could, but Lawlor targeted the knee and neck of Mack to weaken and slow him down.
It was one incredible display after another and this one had it all: brawling on the outside, daredevil moves off the top, mat wrestling, power moves, high-impact offense, and more. Both men absorbed an insane amount of punishment and pushed the other to the absolute limits.
The finishing stretch was no less spectacular than the rest of the match. Mack finally wrested control from Lawlor and hit the 927 for a near fall that had the crowd on their feet. Both men were exhausted but Lawlor rallied to reverse a whip into the corner and then hit a big wrist clutch exploded followed by a discus clothesline that nearly took Mack's head off for the 1, 2, 3.
Standing-O after the match. Well deserved. Just great stuff.
[Mack - 4 tokens, Lawlor - 3 tokens]
Chris Dickinson vs. Laredo Kid Laredo Kid defeated Chris Dickinson with a LAREDO FLY at 7:30 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: This was an interesting matchup and could definitely be characterized as a sprint.
Dickinson hit a press slam off the bell, but Laredo popped up and hit back-to-back satellite DDTs. Dickinson rolled out, but Kid followed with a big plancha! A Laredo Boom got a near fall inside.
A really cool moment saw Kid go for an apron enzugiri, but Dickinson ducked, and Kid got his leg tangled in the top rope. Dickinson dragged him and applied a reverse Indian deathlock, and Kid barely made the ropes! BRAIN EATER! But it only got a two-count.
Things spilled outside, and Laredo Kid made a comeback, smashing Dickinson into a table. Back inside, Laredo Kid rocked Dickinson with the LAREDO FLY for a two, but it was elementary from there as he hit him with another one shortly after for the 3-count.
Great win for Laredo Kid, and he will definitely move up in the rankings with this one.
1 Called Manders and Mance Warner vs. Allie Kat and Effy 1 Called Manders defeated Allie Kat with an Iowa Stampede at 18:03 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Manders was looking for a measure of revenge against Allie Kat after she stopped his progress in the Outlaw Spirit tournament. Allie was out to prove it wasn't a fluke.
This was a very even contest as all four went back and forth looking for sustained advantage. Mander and Allie went at it early and it looked like Mance and Manders might put her down, but some great reversals led to Allie's team getting the upper hand.
Still, Effy took a beating at one point, but kicked out of two SECOND ROPE POWER BOMBS! Allie rallied for her team and scored a near fall with a huge lariat on Warner.
Eventually, Warner was able to turn things around and Allie was in big trouble. A well-timed tag brought Manders in for the finish with a big Iowa Stampede.
Manders definitely got his retribution, but Allie proved in this match that her win was anything but a fluke. Good stuff.
Daniel Garcia vs. Erick Stevens Daniel Garcia defeated Erick Stevens with a BRIDGING SHARPSHOOTER at 7:22 Match Rating: 3.75 Match Notes: Great compact match with some excellent moments and storytelling. Garcia attacked the knee of Stevens early, and Stevens was hurt. Sensing the weakness, Stevens cut off Garcia's attack and went big - hitting the SARASOTA SCREWDRIVER early, but only for 2.
They went back and forth with some nice chain wrestling, and Garcia came out on top, going back to the legs and back with a Boston Crab. Stevens came back again and hit a release German.
He went for a superplex, but Garcia slipped out and hit a huge sit-out powerbomb followed by a piledriver. He then locked in a sharpshooter and turned it into a BRIDGING SHARPSHOOTER to get the win!
Garcia positions himself for a title shot with this big win!
The Besties in the World and AJ Gray vs. Joshua Bishop, Wes Barkley, and Matthew Justice Davey Vega defeated Matthew Justice with a BRAIN EATER at 13:52 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: The burgeoning rivalry between these two teams took a lot of twists and turns along the way in this match, but no one could've seen the ending coming.
Bishop dominated Fitchett initially, but Barkley had trouble hanging with The Besties and AJ Gray as they took him to school.
Gray looked especially strong and nearly took Bishop out. They brawled on the outside, and Gray nearly put him away with CHOPPED N SCREWED! Bishop was in a bad way and eventually was busted open on the outside after a sick brainbuster from Gray. There was a concern about whether or not he could continue, but he would make the tag to Justice.
A series of quick tags led to TOTAL TAKER on the Outlaw Spirit champ, and then Davey Vega hit BRAIN EATER and made a quick cover for the win! Unreal!
A huge brawl erupted as Vega began to celebrate, and Justice creamed him with a lariat to the back of the head! Gray was in, and he and Justice were trading blows as the bloody Bishop grabbed a chair and waffled Fitchett in the back.
Here come Manders and Warner! What the hell are they doing here? A big beatdown on the Besties and Gray ensues before wrestlers from the back come and drag them out of the ring.
Matthew Justice grabs a mic...
JUSTICE: Davey f****n' Vega! You might think you got lucky tonight, but I guarantee you, you just became a marked man! What you see standing before you, BDW, are the Second Gear Shooters! A true main event attraction if ever there was one! And we will dominate the competition in BDW. You punks got lucky tonight, and AJ Gray! You couldn't get it done when it counted. What makes you think you even deserve anything close to a second change? Uh-uh! That's not how it works! Tell 'em, Manders.
MANDERS: I'm going to make this very easy... Second Gear Crew... Rip City Shooters... Second Gear Shooters. We love to fight, we don't care if we bleed, and we will take all of the gold in BDW and no one... Is gonna stop us!
A bloody Josh Bishop smiles for the camera, and the five men raise their arms as the rest of the locker room looks on...
Overall Card Rating: 3.54

tigersamuari, I really like both the relegation concept and the spirit tokens. It will be interesting to see who gets relegated and who wins the tokens.
And the way you have the scores for your non-main event matches written in your lineups is great as, while also giving the reader an idea of how these wrestlers are doing for you for comparison purposes, it allows the reader to know the implications for each wrestler going into the match. Every match is important in BDW!

Every match is important in BDW! Thanks, Vegas! That's exactly what I'm going for. Obviously, I want to have feuds develop organically too - that's always been my style, but this makes every match mean a little more and the pendulum can swing with 1 win or loss since it has be a consecutive run of matches - win or lose. It really starts to take shape on the next card, which I'll post in just a bit!

BDW on IWTV: Drain You (Episode 4) 04.30.2021 from Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
Aussie Open vs. The Wildcards Mark Davis defeated Thom Latimer with a CLOSE YOUR EYES at 12:25 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Hot tag action in the opening bout! Aussie Open was all over the Wildcards early on - hitting the FIDGET SPINNER twice in the opening minutes!
Isaacs made a desperate tag, and things evened out a bit, but the Wildcards, despite some big moves, couldn't sustain their offense for long.
A pair of pop-up Aussie Arrows had Latimer on dream street and led to Davis hitting CLOSE YOUR EYES for the 1, 2, 3!
Aussie Open (+1) Wildcards (-1)
Mike Bailey vs. Effy Mike Bailey defeated Effy with a DQ at 10:39 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: Speedball took the fight to Effy early with his educated feet and strong mat game. Effy rallied and hit a big cradle piledriver for a near fall!
They action yo-yo'd for a good portion of the match, but Bailey really was on the attack for most of the match. The finish saw Bailey roll out of the ring second rope blockbuster and Effy followed.
They brawled around the ringside area, and the ref encouraged them to bring it back in. DQs are rare in BDW, but Effy took things one step too far and blasted Bailey with the ring bell to the back and then to his knee! Bailey yelped in pain, and the ref called for the bell.
Luckily, Bailey would be fine, but Effy might have shot himself in the foot as he now drops a match and is within two of relegation...
Bailey (+1) Effy (-1)
AC Mack vs. Christian Casanova Christian Casanova defeated AC Mack with a springboard clothesline at 6:22 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Great match between these two. Mack came on strong early, but Casanova rallied back and hit a sick tope into the second row! Both guys were dazed and skirted the 20-count, but barely.
Back in a superkick set up a big springboard clothesline for the 1, 2, 3! Casanova gets a win, while Mack drops to 2 consecutive losses - one away from relegation!
Casanova (+1) Mack (-2)
Laredo Kid vs. Blake Christian Blake Christian defeated Laredo Kid with a sit-out powerbomb at 1:03 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Whoa! Laredo Kid slipped on the proverbial banana peel and Blake Christian came to play. He hit a power slam and lionsault combo early and followed it up with a spinning back kick into a sit-out powerbomb to get a flash win!
Christian is now 1 win away from a Spirit Token!
Christian (+2) Laredo Kid (-1)
Revolt! vs. Violence Is Forever Dominic Garrini defeated Zane Riley with a triangle choke at 6:50 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Solid tag action saw Revolt put Ku through his paces early with lots of quick tags and double-team moves.
Ku finally turned it around and tagged in Garrini, and The Bone Collector went to work. He tore Konley's arm apart with the Kimura - only the ropes saved him.
Still, the Revolt wasn't done and rallied against Ku until a mistimed double-team led to a quick tag, and then Garrini locked in a triangle on Riley for the tap out! Out of nowhere. Garrini can be so sudden, and this was proof.
Good win for Violence is Forever, but Revolt are now one away from relegation...
But it doesn't end there... The Rip City Shooters, Joshua Bishop and Wes Barkley, attack Violence is Forever! All four are brawling and it takes a few wrestlers from the back to help officials separate them. Garrini and Ku looked pissed as Bishop and Barkley are all smiles...
ViF (+1) Revolt! (-2)
Curt Stallion vs. TomLawlor TomLawlor defeated Curt Stallion with a MASTER BLASTER at 18:19 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: Now, this was a great match. Tom Lawlor continues to impress, and Curt Stallion came to make up for his loss in the tournament to crown the Outlaw Spirit champion.
These two went back and forth with strikes and holds, pulling out big bombs. There were some great displays of chain wrestling and multiple near falls. It really had just about everything. Stallion tried to sucker Lawlor out a couple of times but to no avail. Still, Stallion was able to hit a couple of dives throughout the bout to press his advantage.
The finish was awesome as Lawlor hit two consecutive Tomigoyes to rock Stallion, but Stallion refused to tap out to the REAR NAKED CHOKE, so Lawlor pulled him in and hit the MASTER BLASTER for the 1, 2, 3! Lawlor is now one win away from a Spirit Token!
Lawlor (+2) Stallion (-1)
- Main Event - Matthew Justice vs. Daniel Garcia for the BDW Outlaw Spirit Championship Matthew Justice defeated Daniel Garcia with a DVD at 12:24 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Excellent main event! They chain wrestled at the start, and it looked like we might get a scientific contest from these two. Of course, Justice took plenty of liberties down the line, but Daniel Garcia was mighty impressive.
Garcia controlled the majority of the match with a variety of holds and big moves. He put a big hurt on Justice and scored big with the rear-naked choke and eventually seemed a heartbeat away from taking the title with a BRIDGING SHARPSHOOTER!
Garcia locked in another rear-naked, but Justice made the ropes and rolled outside. Garcia didn't think twice about following him, and maybe he should have. Justice grabbed Garcia and posted him! The ref warned him, but Joshua Bishop provided a distraction, and Justice then clocked Garcia with a length of chain and rolled the challenger in... DVD! 1, 2, 3!
Tom Lawlor is out and tries to tell the ref what happened, but Bishop attacks! Here come the rest of the Second Gear Shooters!
Lawlor is prepared, though, and clocks Barkley with a knee and then grabs a chair -swinging wildly! It's basically 5 on 1 as Garcia is still hurting, but here comes Violence Is Forever! It's a stand-off to end the show!
Justice (V1) Garcia (0) Overall Card Rating: 2.98
