Another question, I'm afraid. I have never seen IPW (yet) so I am wondering if their "Extreme" Title is more of a hardcore/anything goes/no DQ title, or a more X-Division/no limits sort of title. (And yes, I know it's up to me, Promoter.) Would appreciate that clarification, please. Great question, PS. The Extreme title is definitely a Hardcore-style title. Chad can correct me on the details but it was started as a regular title for Malice to hold. (I believe he was the first champion.) It's typically defended in a Falls Count Anywhere/Anything Goes-type Match. I know Malice defended against the Death Dealer in 2019 in Waterloo in a Dog Collar Match. And I've seen him defend twice in Des Moines Deathmatches (typical Deathmatch with extra crazy stuff, like the set Zeke did). In 2021, AJ Smooth won it in Waterloo in a multi-man Ladder Match but then Malice won it back two days later in Des Moines in a Deathmatch. Hope that helps! |
