Morning everyone, thought I'd start off this lovely Wednesday morning with a topic.
How many people/teams make up a title division for you?
I've always tried to maintain divisions of eight, a champion and seven contenders. I've also tried to bracket people off too as only official tag teams can be ranked but find sometimes I like non official tag teams getting title shots.
Does anyone do dual rankings? What I mean by this is if you took a starter set of 24 and for example three singles divisions of 8 and then a tag division of 12 teams using the same singles stars (people ranked in both divisions).
Is 8 too few contenders? Is 8 too many? How many people comprise your divisions? How many titles do you run and how many contenders?

Always a fun question as there are so many different setups promotors use due to time they have along with what cards people prefer to use on their roster.
Personally, I have one top male title, one female and a tag. Currently use a secondary title, Intercontinental and have used a cruiserweight type title.
I try to keep rosters manageable to encourage rotation in and out but there are some cards who seem to stick with (over with the promoter: Savage and Dr Death seem to stick out).
I usually use 5 or 6 ladies, around 14 - 20 singles for the men and keep tag teams to 4 or 5 official but also use the main roster to create makeshift teams. I have a small extra group which are prelims like Milliman, South or Hutch. Since I use these cards frequently, I do not count as main roster. I have no magic numbers but do keep the active roster in a separate pile and am aware of when I hit my limits of manageable wrestlers.
My average card is usually 5 to 8 matches, with only special events, supercards, or tv tapings stretching to double digits. The specials could wind up as tournaments but tapings help to catch up on action when I am idle for a bit. These type of cards may stretch to double digits but are used rarely.

I like to have 8 tag teams at a time for the tag division and around 30 for the singles belt. I don't really like having women's and junior heavyweight divisions because you have to feature a match from that division on every show to keep the division viable, plus keep around enough wrestlers for that division. It leads to a huge roster for me. Cool if other people can manage it, though.

I run a top 8 in my LWA fed and I think it works pretty well. My WWF fed is angle-based so I don't do any rankings.
