Deadball is cool, the creator W.M. Akers is a cool guy. I'll recommend Payoff Pitch Baseball and History Maker Baseball too. Awesome stuff as always 👍 always look forward to listening with my blueberry coffee in hand!

I listened to this episode tonight while playing out and posting some results in my COTG fed.
I agree with alot of the thoughts about Wrestlemania. I also don't care for the McMahons in matches and I like some of the wrestlers you guys said you like such as Asuka and Randy Orton. I also really liked the Usos when they were a tag team and their younger brother Sefa Fatu (Jacob Fatu's cousin) lives here in Las Vegas where he wrestles for FSW. Sefa Fatu someday will be in either WWE or AEW.
Chad mentioned on the podcast that I will be helping out on the upcoming IPW set. It will be an honor to participate on that set as it is whenever I get asked to contribute on Indy releases for Filsinger Games.
I enjoyed the discussion about baseball. Although I personally like wrestling more, I also really like baseball and I am waiting for the AAA season to start next month as I live on the same street as the new ballpark for the Las Vegas Aviators which was rated by Baseball Digest as the best ballpark in Minor League Baseball. It is a great ballpark that just opened in 2019. I drive by it every day on my way to work.
Tim, if you get the chance, you really should check out the Negro League Hall of Fame in Kansas City after the Hall of Fame weekend in July. I went there on my way to Waterloo in 2018 and it is a must-see if you are a baseball fan.
Looking forward to next week's episode.

Great episode and I'm not even really a baseball fan. Enjoyed the discussions on the different games. I too bought the Strat book and it's great. I bought an edition fo Strat a few years ago but not being that familiar with baseball, it didn't resonate with me. I also bought the first edition of Deadball and enjoyed the book but haven't played. Has anyone on the UT crew played Blaseball? www.blaseball.comFictional teams but I know it's super popular with some of my friends who aren't big sports fans.

I was a big All-Star Baseball player as a kid. Tried Strat, but it didn't stick with me. Now do my baseball and hockey games on the computer.

Not really a baseball fan so I haven't listened to this yet - but after Grant said that he liked it even though he isn't into it either I am going to give it a whirl.

Any other Pursue the Pennant fans out there? Loved playing that in high school in the early 90's.

First things first - another great episode. A lot of fun as usual, and I enjoyed hearing your guys' thoughts on 'Mania.
I think Tim mentioned he actually preferred the Asuka/Ripley match to Banks/Belair. It's hard to disagree, but I also felt like they needed a little bit more time. That was a running theme for me - cut some of the crap segments we don't need (or matches for that matter) and give some of the matches more time. I also think - for me - I watched the Belair/Banks match with my PWI brain vs. my WON brain, and that's why I may have pushed it a little higher. Regardless, I think they were both two of the better matches on the whole card.
I actually wasn't a big fan of WALTER/Ciampa. Early in the match, there was a spot that killed it for me when Ciampa started doing his repeated lariats to WALTER. It just... It didn't work for me. It looked silly. It didn't have the impact some of the other stuff in the match had, it felt like a "spot", and it - much like you mentioned the gorilla press spot in Banks/Belair - defied logic for me. Hate to pull the rug out from a match that was otherwise fine, but it honestly made it hard for me to get back into it.
It came to my attention that I actually forgot to talk about the Strowman/McMahon match on my night 1 reaction... Which says it all, really...
As for the celebrity involvement... It's what they do. They're never going to get rid of it. It's almost like you have to use a different measuring stick when talking about WWE. They serve so many masters. They try to appeal to the widest possible demo. And when you do that... Frankly, you end up pleasing very few regularly. Especially the diehard wrestling fans. Again, those moments need the PWI brain, not the WON brain, haha.
Tim - I would actually love to hear your thoughts on WAR and SABRmetrics! Haha.
Loved the baseball talk. I'm woefully out of step with things these past 13 months, but it was great to get a feel for where you think things will end up, and it's clear you guys know your stuff. I played a few baseball games way back when but played so infrequently and never really grasped what I was doing, nor do I recall what I was playing. That said, you definitely piqued my interest in a few things.
All in all, excellent stuff. I love hearing your guys' thoughts on it all. At this point, I could listen to you talk about your favorite ice cream flavors and be engaged. So... Book it!
