This is just beyond great especially for some of us who have been following along with USWA and NWF for so long.
I cannot wait to see how this unfolds.

SOUTH COAST CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 5/1/2021 Card #1 – Wade Kennedy Livestock Show Arena – Hattiesburg, MS
Welcome to South Coast Championship Wrestling! Join us now for the fast-paced competition of professional wrestling featuring the top grapplers from the nation’s largest governing body, the World Wide Wrestling Alliance. We’ll have more on the SCCW representatives in the Heavyweight tournament over the next couple of weeks. But for now, let’s get to the action…
The Intelligent Sensational Destroyer b Mister X After showing off his “World’s Greatest Masked Man” belt, the Destroyer polished off the masked Mister X quickly with an airplane spin. In an interview after the bout, Destroyer said “Hey, that Mister X should give up wrestling, go back to school and become a Doctor.” It was also announced by Charlie Platt and Les Thatcher that the Destroyer would be one of the two SCCW representatives in the upcoming WWWA World Title tournament.
Billy “Red” Lyons dcor Quebecer Jacques After Lyons got off to a quick start, Rougeau took the action to the floor. Both men were so caught up beating up on each other that they were counted out. Eventually both Red Bastien and Pierre Carl Ouellet got involved as well before calmer heads prevailed.
“Cowboy” Scott Casey dq Larry Hennig Both men had their chances to get the victory, but after a big reverse neckbreaker by Casey, Hennig took a powder to collect himself and talk to J.J. Dillon who was ringside. Moments after getting back in the ring, Larry hit a low blow right in front of the referee to get disqualified. It looked like Hennig and Dillon might try to do some post-match damage to Casey, but Ted DiBiase hit the ring before anything could happen.
Jack Brisco b Frank Dalton Brisco got a huge reaction from the fans upon entering the ring. Dalton was scrappy and put up a great fight. However, Brisco survived a couple flurries and came back to win with an airplane spin. Noting that his rival had won with the same hold earlier in the evening, Brisco grinned and told Charlie Platt “Tell the Destroyer that not only is my Figure Four Leglock better than his, but so is my airplane spin.”
Ted DiBiase b J.J. Dillon After their brief confrontation earlier in the night, DiBiase was pretty fired up. Ted has been talking about getting a title match with Harley Race, but hasn’t been getting much traction. Well, he might get a little more after this match. Although Dillon put up a great fight, DiBiase was never really in danger of being pinned. After a lot of back and forth action, DiBiase wore down Dillon with high impact moves and won with the Full Power Slam.
JIMMY & JOHNNY VALIANT b Tom Prichard & D’Lo Brown (Non-Title) The tag champs and Lou Albano really played up what wonderful guys they were to give this young unproven duo a chance to show their stuff in this non-title encounter. Their overconfidence hurt them early as Prichard and Brown showed a lot of fire and had the Valiants on their heels briefly. However, experience was the difference. Luscious Johnny was able to trap Prichard in the Valiants’ corner and work him over. Prichard tried to fight back but was pinned when Handsome Jimmy landed the Super Elbow. To add insult to injury, Jimmy was shaking his behind over Prichard after the fall, showing off the “Heart Throb” lettering on the back of his tights. Some fans began throwing things in the ring so the Valiants flipped them off and ran to the locker room.
A night of outstanding action in Hattiesburg ends with the hated Valiant Brothers getting yet another victory. Our next show is scheduled for the Civic Center in Laurel, Mississippi and we should have the announcement of the second WWWA World Title tournament competitor from the area. Here’s what the fans in Laurel can look forward to:
* Bob Armstrong will be in action against fellow SCCW veteran and former Olympian Bob Roop! The patriarch of the Armstrong clan will have to keep his focus and be prepared for the underhanded tactics Roop tends to employ.
* The Flying Redheads will square off against the Quebecers, Jacques and Pierre, in what could be a show stealer! The arrogant French Canadians may be irritating, but they can get it done in the ring and always feature some unique double-team moves. The Redheads are perpetual motion so this looks like it could be a barnburner! Although Billy “Red” Lyons is Canadian as well, expect some “U.S.A.” chants to echo through the Civic Center during this one.
* Your big main event will see SCCW Champion Harley Race defend the title against former champ Brian Blair! Although Blair’s title reign didn’t last long, he’s a proven ring veteran and always dangerous, especially if Harley is looking past him to the other challengers on the horizon.
All this and much more next time in Laurel!

Really like the pairing of Jannetty & McCord in WSW... Unfortunately, I think the Uptown Boys have a long road ahead of them before they're considered a serious threat to Mr Cornette's Midnight Express.
And it's pretty cool that Jack Brisco is already responding to the arrogant boasts of The Destroyer in SCCW... Gotta think these two will face off in a Figure Four Challenge of some kind... Somewhere down the line anyway.
Exceptional start for this alliance... Really looking forward to more!

Outstanding start for SCCW! All eyes....at least my eyes....are on Jack Brisco to see if he can eventually ascend to the top. Gotta get past The Destroyer first in what promises to be a marquee feud!

(Here's the background on my fed in WWWA Fans!)
Star Spangled Wrestling: A Brief History of Time
Star Spangled Wrestling officially began as a promotion April 1st, 2021 (an odd day to start anything…. April Fool’s anyone??), headquartered out of our nation’s capital in Washington, DC. The brainchild of “The Golden Greek” Jim Londos, the promotion was created to celebrate “wrestling as we like(d) it”, with an emphasis on old school sensibilities.
It was Londos’ intention to create a wrestling promotion which celebrated the days when professional wrestling was treated as a sport, and not a spectacle. He had originally agreed in principle with “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers to welcome him as a partner, but the two could not agree on the direction of the promotion, with Rogers, ever the showman, wanting a little more of the spectacle and less of the sport. It has been widely rumored amongst the wrestling press that the two had a bitter parting of the ways, although Londos did acquiesce and agreed to have Rogers in the promotion at least. Stay tuned…
As mentioned, the promotion is headquartered in Washington, DC, with its home arena being the historic DC Armory. It is a proud member promotion of the fledgling WWWA, recognizing one World Heavyweight Champion among its members, along with World Tag-Team and World Women's Champions.
SSW held a 3-day tournament between April 30th and May 1st of 2021, to crown its inaugural champions. The SSW title holders are as follows:
*United States Heavyweight Champion: Jim Londos. *United States Tag-Team Champions: The Fantastics. *United States Junior Heavyweight Champion: Danny Hodge.
SSW promotes (more or less) on a monthly basis, holding cards throughout the greater DC Metro area, and throughout Virginia. Here’s a glimpse of the roster:
‘Da Heroes
*Jim Londos, Bobo Brazil, and Dick Hutton: These staunch defenders of truth, justice, and the great American way of professional wrestling oppose any and all rulebreakers who are determined to win at any costs. The “Friends of Jim” are the backbone of the promotion, and are diametrically opposed to the stable of Buddy Rogers, Johnny Valentine, and Greg Valentine.
*’Da Crusher & Jackie Fargo: Tough as a cob, as the old southern expression goes, this duo will bash and smash their way to the US Tag Titles if they have anything to say about it! They are currently feuding with the menaces who are the Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Boris Zhukov (who are occasionally joined by The Terrible Turk).
*The Fantastics: The current US Tag Team Champions, this highly entertaining and likeable duo from the City of Angels is already locked in a blood feud with the Sheepherders, stemming from the finals of the US Tag-Team Tournament (which was an especially tough match!). Both members of The Fantastics wore Crimson Masks after that match, due to the Sheepherders’ brutal tactics. The Fantastics haven’t forgotten that…
*Koko B. Ware: Always entertaining, the Birdman is a sometimes-partner to Crusher and Jackie Fargo. In fact, he’s vowed that he will teach Crusher how to do his Birdman Strut. Crusher for his part has said that any dance other than the polka is pure garbage! Koko could potentially challenge for the U.S. Junior Title, and is feuding with Angelo Poffo.
*Tiger Conway, Jr. & Tiger Conway, Sr.: This dynamic father-son duo is a delight to fans everywhere, and a staunch defender of the SSW way (at least as established by the Friends of Jim!). They will certainly lock horns with the menaces known as Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Boris Zhukov!
‘Da Heels
*Buddy Rogers, Johnny Valentine, & Greg Valentine (managed by Rock Riddle): Labeled “Platinum, Inc.” by the press, this rough and tumble group of platinum-blonde wrestlers has been assembled by the “Nature Boy” himself to serve as a thorn in Jim Londos’ (and friends) side. Their intention is to wreak havoc throughout SSW, as well as win the belts! They are currently managed by Rock Riddle, although they tend to not listen to Mr. Riddle all that well, despite his undying admiration for all of them.
*Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, & Boris Zhukov: This trio of menaces is determined to prove their superiority over Crusher and Jackie Fargo (and Koko B. Ware too, should he stick his head in the middle of it!), and show that might makes right! Boo! Boo!
*The Sheepherders: Crazy and untamed, this duo from down under is willing to do anything to win the US Tag Titles. They are especially resentful (jealous??) of all the adulation The Fantastics receive from the fans, and are determined to “unpretty” them (which they attempted to do in the finals of the US Tag-Team Tournament)!
*Wild Bull Curry: Mr. Curry is…. well…. wild! He’s a bit of a loner, but loves to inflict pain upon his opponents no matter what the cost! He’s currently locked in a feud with “Lightning” Rod Fenton!
‘Da Tweeners
*Blackjack Mulligan and/vs. Killer Kowalski: These two behemoths straddle the fence at times between hero and heel. They are currently locked in a feud to determine the dominant big man of SSW!
*Danny Hodge (and his Junior Contenders): Hodge, and to a lesser extent Iron Mike DiBiase and Henry Irslinger, are more about the wrestling than choosing to be hero or heel. Their Junior Heavyweight battles should be great!
*Lightning Rod Fenton: Sometimes a hero, sometimes a bum, he’s always entertaining! This hard-to-label wrestler really has one agenda, and that’s to prove he’s really the toughest wrestler in all of SSW! And he’s currently embroiled in a feud with Wild Bull Curry to prove it!
Thanks for reading SSW fans, and on to future events! Look for our first card’s results relatively soon, from the first edition of “Star Spangled Wrestling”!

Here is the write-up for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling! For any wrestlers drafted on Uncharted Territory who aren't listed on the roster, they haven't debuted in the territory's storyline timeline yet. All enhancement wrestlers other than Jake and Nacho are Mister X, who will work several times on most TV tapings.
Great Lakes Championship Wrestling started in late 2019. The promotion, funded by a committee of wrestling fanatics, is headquartered in St. Paul, MN and promotes cards in Minnesota and Wisconsin. After holding seven cards and crowning the Great Lakes Heavyweight champion and Great Lakes Tag Team champions, GLCW had to go on hiatus in March 2020 due to the global pandemic. With wrestling cards now being allowed to be held with fans in Minnesota and Wisconsin, GLCW will resume promoting in May 2021 under the partnership of the World Wide Wrestling Alliance (WWWA).
Dan “The Beast” Severn is the current Great Lakes Heavyweight champion. He won the title in an eight-man, round-robin tournament. The tournament consisted of two brackets of four wrestlers each. A point system was used to determine the winner in each bracket. (Ties were broken based on head-to-head competition.) The two bracket winners met on February 16, 2020 at the National Guard Armory in West St. Paul. Severn faced Ed “Strangler” Lewis in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match and came out the winner in two straight falls after 30 minutes of great pure wrestling! (NOTE: This final match was how I picked my two representatives for the WWWA World title tournament.) Severn’s only loss in the tournament was an upset loss to Mad Dog Vachon on January 26 at the Richfield American Legion (Post #435).
The current Great Lakes Tag Team champions are Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson—The Rock ‘n Roll Express! After losing a controversial Losers-Leave-Town Match to their long-time rivals the Midnight Express (“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton and “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey) in Western States Wrestling, the popular tag team arrived in the Great Lakes states. They won a four-team elimination tournament to become the champions defeating the new team of Minnesotans “Jumping” Jim Brunzell and Jerry Lynn on January 19 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN.
GLCW’s first full card with fans back in-person since the pandemic will be on Sunday, May 30 from the Historic Mounds Theater in St. Paul! Both championships will be defended. In addition, GLCW has secured a TV deal for a weekly show on KSTC-TV, Channel 45 in the Twin Cities, as well as other stations around Minnesota and Wisconsin. Long-time MN wrestling announcer Mick Karch will host the show, along with “Ringside” Ralph Strangis! GLCW will tape four weekly shows per taping at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, located in beautiful Red Wing, MN! The weekly TV shows (entitled simply Great Lakes Championship Wrestling) will feature first-run matches from Treasure Island, highlights from recent cards, interviews, announcements for upcoming matches, and more! The first taping will take place on May 8 with the first show to air on delay that night.
Roster Fan favorites
Dan “The Beast” Severn: The current Great Lakes champion has earned the fans’ respect for his toughness and pure wrestling and MMA skills. He will take on any competitor inside the squared circle and hopes to avenge his only loss in GLCW so far, when he puts up the title against Mad Dog Vachon on May 30! The Rock ‘n Roll Express: The current Great Lakes Tag Team champions are two of the most popular wrestlers in GLCW. Their fast-paced style is always popular among the fans, particularly the ladies! They are looking to tangle with the likes of the Long Riders and the PitBulls but will face any team that wants a shot at their gold! “Ragin’ Bull” Manny Fernandez: Fernandez followed his former tag team partner Bob Orton, Jr. to the area after the duo lost the South Coast Championship Tag Team titles and had a falling out. That feud should be an interesting one around Minnesota and Wisconsin! Frank Gotch & Ed “Strangler” Lewis: These two pure wrestling masters have formed an alliance to watch out for each other, out of mutual respect. The two wrestled each other on November 17, 2019 at the Historic Mounds Theater in Bracket “A” of the Great Lakes title tournament with Lewis scoring somewhat of a quick pin on Gotch with the Strangler’s Headlock. “Jumping” Jim Brunzell & Jerry Lynn: Two native Minnesotans, Brunzell is serving as sort of a mentor to the up-and-comer Lynn. They defeated the Long Riders by disqualification to advance to the finals of the Great Lakes Tag Team title tournament. Despite Brunzell’s advice not to do so, Lynn stared the match for his team and never got the chance to tag out, as the Rock ‘n Rolls quickly beat Lynn to become the first champions. With more experience, this could be an impressive team! They look to tangle with the Irwins in the near future. Baron Von Raschke & Johnny Saint: These two met while wrestling in Europe and have come to the States together. Saint is a technical wizard with a variety of escapes and counters. Raschke is known primarily for his famous claw hold, which can put down opponents of any size. The two plan to compete both as a tag team, as well as in singles competition. Mikey Whipwreck: Give this youngster out of Buffalo, NY a lot of credit; he isn’t the biggest dog in the fight but he’s got a lot of fight in him! He didn’t fare well in GLCW’s initial cards but that win could come one day! Preliminary Talent Jake “The Milkman” Milliman Todd Becker Jimmy Doo Buddy Layne Red Tyler
Rulebreakers Mad Dog Vachon: The Algerian brawler cannot be underestimated! He can wrestle and brawl and is vicious inside the ring. He lasted through three attempts by Dan Severn for an armbar submission and came back to pin “The Beast.” He could make Severn’s Great Lakes title reign a short one! The Long Riders: “Wild” Bill and Scott “Hog” Irwin hail from Duluth, MN but most GLCW fans are not fans of these two! They can wrestle but often choose to perform dirty tactics, such as double teaming, using Scott’s steel toe boot, or using Bill’s bullwhip. The bullwhip is what got them disqualified against Jim Brunzell and Jerry Lynn. They are hoping to earn a shot at the Rock ‘n Rolls and become tag team champions! The Great Gama (w/ Teddy Long): Long is a former official in the state of Georgia, who was banned from refereeing, due to questionable calls. He decided to go into managing and contacted Gama’s representatives about being his manager in early 2021. Long says that Gama is only the first member of his Playas’ Club and that more wrestlers will be signed! Gama has been trying to get Big Van Vader back in GLCW, after the two had a physical match back in January of last year in Richfield as part of the tournament. Vader went on a tour of Japan right before the pandemic and ended up staying there. “Cowboy” Bob Orton, Jr.: This second-generation star has made a name in several territories, most recently in South Coast Championship Wrestling. In addition to money and titles, Orton wants to show that he was the true star of his team with Manny Fernandez! George Hackenschmidt & Evan “Strangler” Lewis: Lewis has a strong dislike for Ed “Strangler” Lewis, calling him a “rip-off”! Since Ed has aligned himself with Frank Gotch, Evan felt it was natural to align himself with Gotch’s rival “The Russian Lion” George Hackenschmidt. While these four technical greats will see more singles competition, a tag team match between these four would be a main event anywhere in the world! The Diamond Exchange: This trio consists of Diamond Dallas Page, “Ravishing” Randy Rose, and the New Jersey giant King Kong Bundy! It seems as if the roles may shift between these three as far as who will wrestle singles and who will wrestle tags. Page handles the decisions and match-making for the group! Joe & Tully Blanchard: This father-and-son duo out of West Texas just recently signed to GLCW. Joe is happy that his son has followed his footsteps into the sport of wrestling but doesn’t like the questionable tactics that Tully chooses to employ during matches. It will be interesting to see how these two fare in the Great Lakes region! The PitBulls and The Sandman (w/ Francine): Francine has led this group of wild brawlers into Minnesota and Wisconsin! While they are rulebreakers, they will take on any opponents, if it means winning a fight! The PitBulls competed in the Tag Team title tournament and hope to get another chance at those belts in the future. Sandman carries a Singapore cane to the ring and in arenas that allow it, comes to the ring drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette, while “Enter Sandman” by Metallica plays!
Preliminary Talent Nacho Barrera Bun Boy Barton Tom “Rocky” Stone The Iron Duke The Black Panther

Love these write ups! Great work.
It’s funny, I always see Frank Gotch as a heel- what with the stories of his underhand tactics, getting Hackenschmidt nobbled and what not. I’ll be interested to see if he comes up against the Great Gama!
