The title scene hasn't changed since last month, Bobby Eaton the forgotten Mid-South Heavyweight Champion during the Top Rope Wrestling era last month has defended the belt twice in May and retained it. Bobby Eaton really known for being a tag team wrestler continues to look stronger in the newly renamed Top Rope Wrestling Mid-South promotion. Cowboy Bob Orton and Frank Gotch a pair that were about to be split after their first title victory and loss were going to depart, but Bobby Heenan pulled them together and now they are the longest reigning tag team champions in this promotions history. They have NINE successful title defenses with a defense that was lost via disqualification which makes that a total of TEN defenses. So with the end of May here, whats instore for Bobby Eaton... Eaton will be defending the Mid-South Heavyweight Championship against the newcomer "Trade Mark of Excellence" Ricky Landell, this should be a solid showdown. Dennis Condrey and Buff Bagwell the Night City Express are the number one contenders for the Mid-South Tag Team Belts and they have a tough test ahead with Cowboy Bob Orton and Frank Gotch in command of the tag team division. I like your team of Dick Hutton and Claudio Castagnoli. Eaton vs. Albright for the belt would be something to see.
