Great Episode! (And not just because I got to "roll the dice" for Cory.) It was a fun evening attending the event in Rio! Can't wait to see the rematch of the finals and definitely want/need to see a rematch of the tournament's opening match!!!

Listening to the tournament being rolled out was a lot of fun. Loved the music right before the tournament started too! And Travis' new artwork for the show is awesome! Pike, the song is called "White Sport Coat." It's been used in a lot of commercials over the years. I seem to recall hearing it when we lived in Ohio for a monster truck event at the old Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit. (Think one of those "Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!" types of commercials.) For us personally, we remember it from the commercials the NWA ran for the Best of Starrcade '83-'87 VHS and the Starrcade '88: True Gritt commercial. (See the videos below.) About 13 years ago, I posted a message on the Kayfabe Memories board looking to see if anyone knew what the song was. A guy messaged me that he had it and sent it to me on a CD.

It is a great concept played out. I would love to hear a bit more about the T&T set, probably will have to be the episode the Friday after GCON or you just drop it after the get together and the final name. Just so we can hear your thoughts on the set, and who you were most psyched to get, and who you are most excited to roll a match with?

Another enjoyable episode. Great job hosting and setting up the tournament by TM. Loved the match ups and eager to see how the travelling champion does and fits in as you guys continue to build up your wrestlers and Feds.

I was a bit surprised that Lewis won. How did you settle on Hansen and Williams in the tournament? Who didn't make the cut over those two? I'd be interested to hear that piece. As two why those two were chosen versus who they beat out for the territories.

As two why those two were chosen versus who they beat out for the territories. Each promoter picked two reps for their territory. I don’t know if anyone did a qualifying tournament. I think people picked guys that if they won the world title, it wouldn’t screw up their long term booking.

Guys like Vader, Buddy Rogers, Henning, Savage would have been at my tippy top. I love what you guys are doing with this! It is so interesting!

For me personally, with Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, I chose my two finalists from my Great Lakes Heavyweight championship tournament. Dan Severn had beaten Ed Lewis in the finals for the Great Lakes belt. Interestingly enough, Lewis ended up winning the WWWA World title tournament, so it worked out that I didn't have to take the Great Lakes belt off of Severn and Severn can say he holds a win over the current World champion.
