That's easy for you to say TK, you got your sets today.  I've taken my grievances to the TOP, the man whose name is on the game. Now... I realize having an opinion around here is frowned upon, so what I'm going to say is not opinion - it's FACT. People took my DISLIKE for the Tommy Rich head as a shot at Werner, nothing could be further from the truth. Werner is a straight up killer, and I have several bootlegs to prove it. My FALLEN ANGEL is my favorite art in any forum. He is however human, and when RUSHED and not given proper direction he can fail like any of us would. Slymm your cropped head thing was a shot at me, and I really didn't care, but I did notice your sweet Blue Blazer avatar that Werner did. I bet you gave him time to do it and told him exactly what you wanted. What you got is perfection, which is what Werner does. |

I think some people just disagreed that the art is bad. I like the art, I think it well represents Rich. Not sure where the "rushed" part comes in, but as someone that is fortunate enough to have received the set today, I can say its one of my favorites. Fantastic job all around and I'm sure people will be happy with the results. |

When you rush art and you're not all that familiar with the subject, it suffers. It's not on the artist. He can't turn out gold every time in that situation. I think the best thing for creators AND fans/customers would be to give a little more lead time and not try to get everything finished in the last days or week before scheduled release. But that's just my opinion. |

Next to Koko, Rich is my least favorite piece of art in this set as well. I love Werner's art and like you said he killed it with your Fallen Angel and he killed it with my Blue Blazer and others. You have every right to voice your opinion as does anyone else. Everyone is fallible, even Werner. Not everything is going to be a masterpiece, and lets be honest, Tommy is an ugly mf no matter how many stabs an artist has at drawing him lol. But again, wasn't a shot, was just having fun with it. Edit: FWIW I meant to add I still do like the color version of Rich better than the b&w one but I like the b&w Smothers art better than the color version... I think. And also I put Scoprio in my original post but I meant Koko because I thought it was 2 Cold when I first saw it 🙃 |

Shrugs, I am fine with waiting especially if it's quality ... speaking of quality and waiting, when are we gonna get that She Devil Naughty Elf Holiday card ...
Jokes aside, it's just a game friends. It's one of the reasons I started doing different eras of my fed, so if I am waiting for cards I can play another time period. If not for the sacrifices of all involved their might not be all these releases through out the year or quality releases at all. I'm just happy and appreciate all the hard work done at Fed HQ. Thanks to all involved and Happy Holidays.

The reaction some people give about opinions on art especially is hilarious. To think you don’t have to like every piece an artist does seems pretty reasonable. Some will drag you through the streets like a Judas.

I've been begging for Tommy Rich for like two years now, and I am super excited to have him in this set. No matter the art, I will be using him immediately and I am looking forward to using him. While I am very glad they went with with the parted hair instead of the super 80's bangs, I have to admit that the face seems off to me. The mouth is just too big, the teeth look like a mouth guard, and the forehead is too smooth. Here is the thumb, and my favorite picture of Tommy, just for reference....   While I am beyond stoked that we got him, I also wouldn't mind seeing an art change for him. |

I understand the passion that people get from this game and I can see the frustration that some may get with the timing of the mailing. Buuuutttt...come on! The filsinger staff are doing bang up job with several releases a year...remember when there was only one a year? Tom, Todd, Rob, Mike, Ty, Chad,etc etc bust their asses to put stuff out and I can't see how this pace can continue because it is just crazy how much they have given us in the last few years. People can just be patient...that is what this game about anyway. See preorder, order, stalk the mailman, get the order, play the crap out of it...repeat!  Besides, if they moved the date back to first week of December, then promoters will just complain stating that they don't see why it cant be moved to before Thanksgiving because they would like the cards on the holiday..it is a no win situation. So, just kick back and relax...it'll get to ya soon enough! Using that logic - we wouldn’t have potentially had Dutch and definitely not Lance Russell for this set. I also know that delays in printing and shipping from the printers makes windows tight. The FG crew, I am sure, wanted to get these into promoters’ hands sooner rather than later. However, my thought is: if you want to guarantee your order makes it for Christmas, you gotta be willing to pay for the express shipping, at least at the holidays. |
