The cards have arrived in the St. Louis area. I can't wait to feed these guys to Vader and/or the British Bulldogs. [br Good luck for the Bulldogs 😉

After looking through the cards tonight I've got two questions about the set.
1) Moondog Spot's height & weight. 5'9" 240lbs? I didn't think he was a full 6 inches shorter than Rex and thought he was announced around 270-280lbs.
2) Dutch Mantell's use of Shoo-Baby. To me it would make more sense that he'd use the whip if he'd accumulated 3 tokens himself & was desperate from taking a beating. Instead it reads that he uses it once his opponent has accumulated 3 tokens and he's risking a DQ on an already beaten down opponent. I haven't seen a ton of Dutch in Memphis so maybe it does make sense for his character?

Or you could look at it that Dutch is frustrated he can't put the opponent away and then he goes to Shoo Baby for a whipping!

While I can see your thought about Dutch being in trouble, it was meant to be that he's tried other things and finally decides to use Shoo Baby. In one match I watched, Dutch wrestles a young Jeff Jarrett in the WMC-TV Studios. He's controlling most of the match and the ref gets bumped. Dutch whips Jarrett, who's already hurt, knocking him out of the ring, and leading to a countout win after the ref is revived.

Now that I have the Memphis set in hand, when do the teasers for the next set start? Merry Christmas, everyone!

This is a little off topic but, man, I love the crazy matches they had in Memphis. The current episode I’m watching, from November of 1980, has a battle royal for their new TV Title and it’s a pinfall battle royal, meaning the only way you can be eliminated it via pinfall. In a battle royal! Nuts, I love it.
