While he didn't have the longevity or notoriety of some of the other famous Memphis managers, I would love to see a card for Scott Bowden. He was a great deal of fun as a cocky heel manager and could get a rise out of both Lance and Dave. Beyond that, his KFR podcasts and writings really brought great passion for Memphis wrestling until he passed away unexpectedly and far too young. We used to talk on the phone every Friday and he’d always ask about the game. He wanted to see if maybe Filsinger games would want to do a promo pack with he, Kevin Lawler (as the Yellowjacket) and Brian Christopher (Memphis version) and give the game free plugs I still don’t know what happened, but he has a falling out with Howard Baum, which led to him leaving Arcadian vanguard podcasts. We had no issues after he left, but I work for Brian and couldn’t help on a deal if he started with another podcast after the fallout. One of those things. Wish it didn’t happen. Brian had no ill will towards him because Scott left. It was a weird week or so when it happened because myself and Brian were both blindsided by what happened |

Unbelievable this thread is already up to 11 pages! I'm still becoming more familiar with Memphis wrestling so I don't think I can pick 10 names but my initial list would be... Jerry Lawler - Hey, we thought Piper was unavailable. I'm going big!  Joe LeDuc Bill Dundee Kamala - Haven't come across him on the compilations I've watched but would love him in the game Wayne Ferris - because then maybe we could get a Honky Tonk Man card Buddy Landel Rick Rude Jimmy Hart with wrestling stats - And maybe a handbook interference chart swapping out the megaphone for a cane. Lance Russell Buddy Landel is actually one of my top wants for the game over all, not just this set. Not sure why I didn't think to mention him when I made my list! Great Call!! |
