I will selfishly hope that if we got Chris Colt, he would find his way to a PNW set eventually...

Would love Colt though I could imagine it would be a nightmare to figure out who to ask for rights.

Ah ha. I deciphered this. Could the USWA possibly be included in this set? I thought they were out of Memphis too. If so, would pay double for an Eric Embry card back when his feud with Kamala, Gary Young, etc. Was one of the hottest feuds of that year. Yes, there be guys from the USWA years of Memphis in this set. I'm saying there are...or there are. Mwahahahaha

I just watched MEMPHIS HEAT : HISTORY OF MEMPHIS WRASSLIN.
I've been a pro wrestling fan since about 1974, growing up on Big Time wrestling from Detroit and most notably Georgia Championship Wrestling. I never got to see MEMPHIS living in Columbus, Ohio and never paid it much mind. I did buy all 3 magazines (The Wrestler Inside Wrestling and PWI), never missing a month. My collection is ridiculous! All I knew about it was in those mags.
I never read any books or researched it, as MEMPHIS really didn't interest me. Until now... I've bought 6 Mark James books in the last year and hungry for more.
Things I took from the documentary...
I'm now a HUGE Sputnik Monroe fan!!! The man was a phenomenal humanitarian, great draw and genuine tough guy.
I always thought the Von Erich - Freebirds feud was the toughest, real contact, I'd ever seen... but they have nothing on some of that MEMPHIS stuff! Wow!
Jackie Fargo... NOT a fan. The guy seems like a real douchebag even in his elder years. He might have been a huge draw, but at the same time was a huge asshole. He did nothing but talk trash about Monroe, women and midgets.
Anyway, I'm a fan now and can't wait for this set.
I just regret it took me so long to appreciate this incredible 'territory'.

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen it but I really enjoyed the documentary. I was pretty unaware of Monroe before I watched it.
The Mark James books are fantastic.

Jim Cornette's wrestling comic also has a condensed version of the Sputnik story...one of my favorites.
Sadly, Jackie Fargo's views were probably not too far from a lot of Southern men of his era.
Really looking forward to whoever is coming.

That’s going to be cool. I can see them using Sputnik Monroe, Tommy Rich, Superstar Bill Dundee, Eddie Gilbert (if he hasn’t been used), Kamala, Jerry Lawler, Miss Linda (Adrian Street’s lady), The Fabulous zones, The PYT Express, and Andy Kaufman!

Andy Kaufman would be awesome to have. He could have different stats depending on if he is wrestling a man or a woman. Just an idea.
