Hello. This is our first blog report for the Chikara De Lucha Libre Show that was on the youtube channel mas lucha. What happened after the battle royal is way more interesting than the battle royal itself.
The battle royal was… boring. Holy crap a 3 hour battle royal? Who wants to watch a two ring 48 wrestler battle royal? I certainly didn’t but I did. The match was eventually put out of it’s misery as TURSAS claimed the title by eliminating Sylverhawk at the end. But a lot of super weird things happened. For one, after the first 18 people were eliminated it was announced that the remaining wrestlers would be on the main roster. It’s clear that the wrestlers did not know this and some came back out angry and swearing as though they had secured a place in the company. This contradicts an earlier report that they were only using the likeness of the characters and not the actual wrestlers.
The second stipulation was that whoever eliminated the most wrestlers would get the first title match. This ends up being Hormica del fuego (Fire Ant). And as a side note, why one earth is this company not just calling the wrestlers by their names? I don’t think the mexican crowds care all that much that they translate them into spanish or spanglish.
The day after the battle royal is where the real news is. Several wrestlers have already left the company. As of right now we know Delirious, Hallowicked, Frightmare, Jervis Cottenbelly, have all left for sure. We are hearing Rompecabezas (Jigsaw) , Mantis Ultra Negra (Ultramantis black) & Kobald may also leave. We have know idea how in the world this will affect the self imposed roster limit of 30 they initially set out to do. What I do know is that this league looks like it will be lucky to last 6 months.

We are reporting more departures from Chikara De Lucha Libre. Kobald has left to join Frightmare & Hallowicked in The Crash. Lanza De Acero, Senor Cero & Prakash Sabar have all left the league. That is quite a lot of departures before the first actual card takes place.
