In accordance with precedent set for the black-and-white Mr. Perfect card and others, I dearly hope Mr. Somers has a "C" Ropes rating--nobody ever flew through the air on a back body drop like the Pretty Boy.

Oh my gosh, I am so stoked for the pretty boy! Since we don't have the rockers, going to make sure that he and Buddy Rose are going to feud with the fantastics!

Can’t lie, I wasn’t sure what I would be doing with the Playboy when he was announced, figured maybe a few singles matches against Jannetty at best. UNTIL last night! Stoked to bring Rose AND Somers into my fed! Since we won’t have the Rockers anytime soon, might have to eventually have them feud with the Rock N Roll Express. Take my $$$$ now!

Last month at Waterloo, I heard about Doug Somers being signed so I figured he would be tonight's announcement after Buddy Rose was the previous announcement. Back in the black and white card days of my fed, for some reason I had teamed Rose with Val Venis but I will definitely be teaming Rose with Somers in the future and I might have them feud with the Rock N' Roll Express.

I don't know him Doug Somers - Guessing by other posts of what are they going to do . Him & Buddy Rose were a heel tag team ?
Just wondering is the other two also a tag team ?

Rose and Somers were AWA tag champions managed by Sensational Sherri. They had a classic series with the Midnight Rockers. Shawn Michaels has credited Buddy Rose with teaching him how to work a wrestling match. We're talking match flow and psychology, not moves. It's likely the other two will be Dutch Savage and Grappler, but that's far from certain. |
